The "Terrible Two's" are bad, But the "Horrible Three's" are WORSE!

We NEVER had terrible two's with either of our kids (they are 10 and 5 now).

Then they turned 3.

My husband's mantra during that period was simply "I hate 3."

4 was slightly better and 5 was great.

I totally agree! But then they turn into teenagers. All new types of worries. You'll be looking back at when your child was 3 and wondered why you ever complained.

Don't say I didn't warn you!! lol.

Oh my gosh....I am SOOOOO with you all. DD is absolutely driving me crazy. Horrendous behavior has been going on for about a month now (she'll be 3 in late Oct.)....includes not listening, sassy mouth, poor sleeping habits, not eating like she used to (all about what SHE wants to eat and when of course!). I am seriously about to go bezerk. Today she decides she's ready to do away with the afternoon nap (across my dead body! ), so we have been "engaged" in a battle over the last 1 hour + that involves me trying to get her to sleep while she plays, climbs all over couch, fusses loud enough to wake her brother (12 mos.), etc. I am seriously about to lose it! I guess it's an age thing because while this kid was always a "spirited" (love that word...such a positive twist ), "head strong" kid, she was not this devil-horned, evil child that she has become lately!!! Where did she come from???

This all said, this child just loves to please her father and I to no end. We are trying so very hard to praise her for her good behavior, and she so loves making us happy. Why then wouldn't she want to act that way all the time?!?!?! Truly makes no sense to me. Of course, I suppose that's because I'm 33 and not almost-3.
