So far I am underwhelmed. As The World Turns was so much better. What do you think??

So this is a new concept for a show... hmmmm I can't believe that they are making it seem like it's a unique concept.. I would have rather them come out and say that it's "The View" but with more likeable, less argumentative people.

I tuned in. I thought it was funny how Julie Chen gave credit to Sara Gilbert for coming up with the concept. Complete rip off of The View format, except they didn't seem to talk about anything too controversial. Christie Brinkley came on and mostly they all gushed at how beautiful she is.

I agree- it's The View without the nastiness. Sharon Osborne and Leah Remini have potential though....... LOL

Didn't like how Holly had to turn the conversation back to her a couple times. But I love Leah and I think Sara might be a pleasant surprise. So tired of professional interviewers, bring on some new people.

I recorded it and just finished watching the last segment, did anyone else notice that Sara Gilbert is one of the executive producers?

Plus Julie Chen's husband is the CEO of CBS, this should make things very interesting.

I sent Leah a tweet yesterday after the show aired. She responded! Love her, love her personality. I believe yesterday's show was pre-taped, today's show will be live. So I'm looking forward to it and J-Lo's interview. Plus, I never noticed how funny Julie Chen is. I got a kick out of that!

I recorded it and watched it this morning, or rather half of it. I got bored with it quickly and deleted it.

I was surpised how much I liked Julie also. I usually find her so boring (big Brother). I'll give it a couple of weeks and see how I like it.

I am half way through yesterday's episode with JLO and am surprised that I am liking this show. I am already on the "that's my pan" website starting my Christmas shopping. I was starting to worry about Leah and her story about bringing things to a friends' that are homemade when she finally got to the point, it was worth the wait, I love this website.

so far I am underwhelmed..it seems chaotic, and they are all talking over each other..Leah Remini always seems to be 'shouting'..and it's getting annoying..if it was Sara Gilbert's idea in the first place..why is she so quiet?..I like Julie Chen as host of Big Brother..but find her a little 'cloying' as one of the hosts..I thought Marissa Jarrett Winoka (sp?) was part of the cast?..I noticed when I watched yesterdays..that her name wasn't even shown in the credits?..don't get it..I am not a big fan of The View either on most days..but I may tend to stick with that and let this one fade out of view for me..Just My Opinion!

It reminds me of an Infomercial -- a group of *real* women chatting and giggling about something they think we should all care about, surrounded by an audience which erupts into applause and laughter at just the right moments, all shot with a soft-focus lense.

A reviewer from The Boston Globe wrote:

"Like “The View,’’ “The Talk’’ was an hour of plastic blatherers pretending to be a microcosm of American women."

I absolutely agree.

This is pretty much The View on a daily basis. I wouldn't be surprised if they were told to shout over each other.

I watched it yesterday...it was ok.
Don't like Sarah Gilbert so I'm not sure if it will stay on my DVR~
