The Superfamily February 2009!! We're taking on the world!! MAJOR UPDATE 1/7

So, my dad and Chad got the rest of our lights up. They didn't get up on the roof like I wanted, they put them above the door, garage and around our basement set of windows. It looks cute and they hooked it up to my musical light set show! I am sure our neighbors love us!! lol!!

Oh, I bet and Sophie would have so much fun together!!!!! Dressing up, getting into everything! lol!!

Awww, what was the theme for Sophie's party?
Hmmm, you could have a Dolly Parton themed party for your dad!! :lmao: everyone dress up as Dolly!! Just be sure to invite me! :goodvibes

For Sophie's birthday we took her to Longleat, which is this brilliant safari park about 2 hours from their house. Sophie is a major animal lover and we had only been once before so we decided this would be great for her. We also stayed at a campsite for 2 nights, which had a little farm and the children could help feed the animals and their was a treehouse and bikes for them to play with. And my older sister and grandparents and the dog came too. It was a total surprise for her, Nick and I got there earlier and set everything up, we had 3 tents, a gazebo, table and cooker, it was great. We had an animal theme and we decorated it with banners, animal balloons and leopard print blanket and chair. She loved it. Then on her birthday we went to the safari park in the day and in the evening we had a bbq and had more animal themed party things, it was great.

Thanks. It was the first time I had done anything themed so as you can see I went a bit overboard. It was quite funny as those giant elephant and lion balloons I didn't realise how big they were. Nick and I had all the tents and everything in our car as we setting it all up before everyone got there and the when I tried to put the balloons in they wouldn't fit. We had to rearrange everything, Nick was not happy :sad2:. Sophie absolutely loved it though, which is what mattered, and we all had a blast. I did a bit of a themed party for my Mum in the cabin... we decorated the top floor in a cowboy theme with an inflatable cactus and signs and things and then had a cocktail table, it was pretty cool. I think I could really get into these themed parties :). Oh Dolly Parton would be a great idea, although my Grandad would be very sad to miss it :lmao:. Sophie loves her so would be only to happy to dress up as her, didn't you have a picture of Hollie like that before?

Hey Heather!!!

Whats up Tammy!!!!!!!

Oh, I don't think you went overboard at all!!! I think it was fabulous!!!

Yes! Hollie has a picture somewhere in this report of her as Dolly! I will have to find it and tell you which post it was. Hollie calls her Aunt Dolly because of Hannah Montana!!:rotfl2:

heather, your lights look great. MY DH is still hanging ours, as always there were problems. :lmao: I must say I love your southern accent.

You've got your own little Osborne Lights Show going on! Very nice!

Love the safari party, and then you've got the Wizard of Oz party coming up. Very creative at every turn.
Life is good...and fun...at your house!

Being from Tennessee, I don't think you have an accent at all.

However, just about everyone we've met or talked to - Disers and CMs alike - comment on our "cute little southern accent"!

Just saying Hey girl!

Maybe you should change the ADR, Hollie would probably like it better. Too bad they stopped doing the extras at CR. :sad2:

ariel2007 I love your animal theme party. Everything is so cute from the plates, to the balloons and confetti. Where did you find the ketchup & mustard pouches? You even had decorative grass in the background. I love the monkey cake!! How very cool to have the safari visit part of the bday. You should be happy with your efforts. :thumbsup2

What an awesome party!!! Where the heck did you find those balloons?
