The Super Planner dropped the ball---6/20 ADRS and November 2008 mini trip report

Hey!! I am joining in here! I can't wait to hear about your 2 upcoming trips!!

Your outfits that you make for you babies are so cute!! I wish I was that talented to make some! But, thank goodness for Ebay!! :lmao:

Guess what???She sells them? Now you don't have to go to ebay.

Hey, I followed the link in your siggie from the Disboutique thread. I hope you don't mind if I read along! You have a beautiful family. I too am a stay-at-home mom. I see that you are another one that is able to help fund Disney trips selling customs. I've considered that, but I'm not confident enough in my seamstressing, yet. Your creations are amazing! Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

Great report so far! :thumbsup2 We leave in 2 weeks for our trip & I couldn't be more excited! LOL We are taking our baby girl on her first trip - she'll be about 10 1/2 months old. :goodvibes We moved our trip up since my husband got word he is deploying overseas at the end of August. We threw the trip together in a weekend after finding out a few weeks ago he'd be leaving. Your trip after your hubby returned from his deployment sounded wonderful! I'm hoping to plan something similar for when my hubby returns. :)

Oh, forgot to mention - I found your link on the Disboutiquers thread! I've been making Maddie a few outfits for our upcoming trip - I just love all your outfits!! SO cute!! :)

I have been lurking and enjoying your PTR and mini-trip reports, but I had to post and share this with you. My son is 5, and he saw the pictures of your daughter and said, "She's cute, Mom." Yesterday and today he asked me to go on the Disney boards so he could see the princess. Now he didn't mean any of the Disney princesses. No, he means your daughter. Today he asked me if he could maybe go buy a princess toyu or something so he could give it to her when he goes to Disney - "Just in case they are there, Mom."

Just thought you'd enjoy the cute story!

By the way, congratulations on your adult only trip! I think that sounds great! Your wedding and honeymoon story is very sweet. I hope it is as much of a dream vacation as you have imagined!

I hope you have a wonderful trip! I will keep your husband in my prayers and you as well. All I can say is that I think the deploymenst go faster then you think they will. A Disney trip is the perfect way to celebrate homecoming!

That is the sweetest story ever!!!!!!!!!! I will post some more pics today just for him. ;)

I am so sorry I have been MIA. We have been having alot of problems around here lately (unexpected expenses) and I am trying to sew my little heart out to make sure we still have the $ to go on our trip  I am so worried we will have to cancle the trip that I have not been feeling very disneyish lately. I am less then 50 days away and I have not made a single outfit yet----that is so not me.

I am pretty sure that we will cancle our alone trip and lose the $ for our flights but that's ok. Someday we will get to do it. I don't have to cancle util it gets a little closer so I am leaving it for now and waiting and seeing what happens.

As promised, I am going to give you a mini Tr of our trip to the beach. Better late then never I always say!

The 1st leg of our trip was spent with my parenst who were already down there. We had 3 fun-filled days with them. One of the biggest highlights of our time was going on a "REAL" pirate ship! My dad coheorts with pirates ya know. HE grew up with the captain so the kids go extra special treatment. My little buccaneer was not in a pirate mood and hid his face from the crew the whole time. My normally shy pirate princess took a liking to cremate Ducky.

W first had to get our pirate faces on to be part of the crew. I even got in the spirit but sorry now pics of me ;)

We were then told the story of treasure stealing scallywags and how they snactched part of our map. The kids had to search for the X on the deck map but alas no X since that part of the directions had been STOLEN!

Our story time was rudely interrupeted when we can across the treasure stealing scallywags and a heated battle ensued. There was a very strong warning at the begining of the trip that you WILL get wet on this ride :) THEY WERE NOT KIDDING!!!!!! You will get soaked on this ride :lmao: Once the water cannons started going off, Russell didn't know which direction to run 1st. I tried to position him for the least amount of water possible running from side to side on the ship while mom, Roseanna and the rest of the crew fought back with the cannons. The scurvy pirates realy liked me though and made sure to get me SOAKED!!!!!! We all got so wet but it was a blast!!!!!!!

After heated battle, they surrendered and we got the treasure!!!!!! The kids got thier booty and then played limbo on the ride back to port. Russell finally started coming around and went to look out at the water.

The pirate ship looks like it was a lot of fun...I hope everything goes well for your family with your trip. I know exactly how it feels to short we are going through the same; oe of the little girls I watch her mommy lost her job, so that means I lost, also. And the other little girl I now have two days one week and four days the following, so again my lose. Hang in there ya'll will be great! :upsidedow

Oh my goodness, that pirate thing sounds so fun. Here's to hoping everything works out for you with your trip. Also, are you the gal that posted the sailor dress for your daughter on the disboutique, recently? Your sewing really is incredible! That dress has been so stuck in my head. It was just gorgeous. I hope that that was you, and I'm not putting my foot in my mouth, here.

Good luck with everything!

The pirate ship looks sooo neat! Connor would have love doing something like that!

It was so fun! I had not laughed that hard in a long time and I felt like a kid when I did get one little chance to shoot a cannon. There was one free so I left poor Russell by himself to hide from the water for a minute so that I could have some fun. Such a mean mommy!

Thanks a lot! My disney hating parents ar like so what cancle the trip, you go every year, blah, blah, blah but it is so hard because DH might be deployed again in January so I REALLY don't want to cancel the family trip. I am trying to sew a TON to build $ back up. My posts may be a bit sporatic so that way I can sew as much as possible in the next few weeks.

The pirate ship looked like a lot fun. Sending pixiedust: pixiedust your way so you can go on the trip.

Thanks for the magic dust! Tink never lets people down and I hope she spreads some magic to this family. If we can't go it won't be the end of the world because we have great memories and know we will go again but like I said with a deployment looming, I really want to try to go.

You taught yourself to sew! That's a really great dress! I found a sewing machine in the attic of the house we moved into a couple years ago. It's still in the box since I don't sew. Maybe I could actually learn and put it to use. My daughter wants to learn. Maybe we can learn together.

I suggest getting patterns from youcanmakethis dot com They have picture by picture instrustions on how to make the items. that is mostly how I learned. I think the best pattern to start with is the easy fit pants by carla C. Her patterns are the best and she makes it so easy to understand.

You can do it! It is so much fun! I love seeing my kids in my creations.
