The stupidest disorder you can have

Here's the strangest problem I have - ready for this?

I cannot separate pieces of paper It's physicaly impossible for me without doing that disgusting lick-your-finger -first thing. I KNOW that's gross, but what the heck is wrong with me??? I appear to have fingerprint grooves at all. Am I doing something wrong?

You wouldn't think this to be a real problem, but you should have seen me trying to pass out flyers at our cub scout pack meeting Friday night! I'm standing there trying to give someone a paper and I'm thinking "gee, I hate to spit on your flyer and all, but I can't give you the whole stack!"

Am I a freak or what??

not only can't I seperate papers I can't open grocery store plastic bags to fill them. That is embarrassing too as people are waiting, i'm trying to bag but I can't open the bags.

You need to either invest in some "rubber fingertips" or get some of that "imitation spit" stuff. It's like a wax.

I'm the same way though, I always have to lick!

I'm the same way. The produce bags are even worse, but at least I'm not holding anyone up while I struggle with those.

I had to have my older DS open a trash bag for me the other day because I kept trying and trying but I couldn't get the edges separated. In my defense, I can usually get those open, but this one was really stuck tight.

One office where I worked had this stuff called Tacky Finger. It was made specifically for this purpose. I need to go to the office supply store to see if they sell it. If they do, I'll have to start taking it to the grocery store with me so I can open the bags.

Fan them first...

hold the stack of papers out with both hands
put your thumbs on the top and your fingers on the back
bend and curl the stack up
pull your right hand out a little as you bend them back straight sliding them so that they are fanned.
hold the stack in your left hand and grab with your right
(or flip with your left thumb if you're trying to find a certain page)

try it, it works...I've spent way too many years dealing with paper, ugh! LOL.

The trash bags are the worst! Whenever I have to replace the one in the trashcan it's like trying to wrestle with a five hundred pound tiger. First, I have to manage to tear one off the roll in the box without taking another six bags with it. Then I have to find the flaps so I can unstick them and open the bag. I swear sometimes I turn the bag over and upside down at least ten times before I find the end that actually opens. While I'm doing this I'm cursing at the bag, and usually someone is yelling at me from another room because I'm making such a racket they can't hear the TV.

By the time I'm done with that little chore, I need a Pepsi and a rest!

I wonder is they can do a cosmetic surgery to "enhance" your fingerprint ridges?
