...this time of year. Normally, on trash day I have to chase my trashcans all over the neighborhood because the trashmen just throw them in the yard. They roll away or get blown away and end up all over the place  BUT, every year around Christmas time I find them neatly placed on the curb. :teeth: Today, there was even a Christmas card attached to the handle from the trashmen :rotfl: Think someone's looking for tip? :lmao:

:rotfl2: My mail lady has been bring the mail to the door!!!! :teeth:

maybe I shouldn't, they man handle my cans the rest of the year :teeth:

Hey you two, get a room! :smokin:

I would tip our garbage guys if they would stop coming before 7 in the morning. Of course, they would never know because they don't get out of the truck. Just use the grabber thing to pick up the can and dump it, toss the can down as they drive away and let it fall over. All before it is even light outside. Yeah that is a nice sound to wake up to!

I thought mail carrier's were not allowed to receive gifts as they are federal employees.

you're kidding :confused3 I would be embarrassed to do that :teeth:

Same thing happens with the NY Times guy. 11 months of the year the paper comes after I leave for work. Starting somewhere in late November, the paper arrives before I leave-isn't that amazing! Once I present the card, we're back to the paper coming late.

we can tip ours because they don't work for our Village, they are a private company.

last week in the huge snow storm we had, I went looking for my morning paper, I walked up and down our walk the leads to the house - I looked every where, that the newspaper guy leaves the paper, in the bushes, on the driveway, every where. I wasn't angry, because I kinda figured he couldn't get to his deliveries in the snow. As I was walking back up to my house I noticed my paper sitting on the chair I have on the porch. Next day I got the letter in the paper, Wishing our family a happy holiday along with his home address.

Gifts are theoretically not supposed to be over $20. :)

We always do. But they do a great job. They back down our driveway, take the cans out of the plastic garbage house and then put it all back correctly so the wind won't get it.
