i have never been a steelers fan but as of tonight's game against the bengals, i can officially say i HATE them. anyone else?

When I lived in Pgh. I liked the support for the Steelers but didn't understand why everyone rooted for the Pirates. Most years they have been terrible.

can not stand Cower (is that correct sp?)
the bus is obnoxious
poor sportsmanship (one example: throwing ball in opponents face) IMHO

What?? When did you live here? The Pirates have been openly mocked and generally hated/ignored for a few years now. I swear the only people going to the games go just to see PNC Park.

We're from the town with the great football...... The Pittsburgh Steelers. I wouldn't watch most games but I did enjoy them winning.

ummm, nope, never said that. just voicing my hate or strong dislike of the steelers, they are dirty players. i'm not a bengals fan either but i would like to see them win although it doesn't look like that 's going to happen.

Play dirty? Examples (oh yes, the Defensive Lineman was blocked into Palmer)? I feel terrible for Palmer - a great guy having a fabulous year, but it was not dirty.

I understand that you are upset about the end of the season but what on Earth was dirty? There was no intentional nastiness and the Bengals injuries were common occurances.

Yes, I my Black & Gold and often see things with a bias but I can't see how anyone can say that the Steelers aren't one of the classiest teams in the NFL.

I agree!! I hate Steeler fans specifically, who believe you are a traitor if you dont believe the Stillers are GODS!! It has been 26 YEARS since they have won their last Super Bowl but I know people who are still wearing jerseys from then, waiting for 1 for the thumb. I also dislike the Rooneys. They have done very little toward the city in terms of charity. They have the best example of a giving owner in Mario Lemieux. who has raised millions for his numerous charities. In return, most Stiller fans cant wait to get rid of the Penguins, let alone support them. (by the way, the last championship we have seen in Pittsburgh was the Stanley Cup, not a Super bowl win.)
Nevertheless, I am routing for a Steeler Super Bowl win for a great player and person, Jerome Bettis!! Go Steelers!

I will say...I thought the walk over was a bad thing. but the injury to Palmer was an accident....Kimo was blocked into him. And if you saw the replay, he was very upset that he was hurt.

And there were two teams playing dirty the first quarter..not just one.
I was glad to see they both settled down after the half.

Nope, not the correct spelling. It's Cowher (not that I'm the spelling police, but you did ask) and he's actually one of the best coaches in the NFL. He loves the team and I think the team has the utmost respect for him too. I can't fathom how anyone could hate him?

I guess you're always hated when you're on top though!

WTG Steelers. You played a good game today and contrary to some opinions, they didn't play dirty at all. Players get hurt all the time. It's football. There was nothing intentional on that field.
