The "star" attraction legacy?

Vegas has the Star Trek experience

MGM + Disney = Stargate ?

Just wondering if anyone thinks this is a possibility in the future.

Stargate has overtaken (as far as I know) Star Trek for viewership. Since they have a full-length movie coming up (speculation), wouldn't that put it in a prime position to make an attraction out of it?

This is the same "Stargate" on the Sci-Fi channel right? Wasn't there already a movie which the TV is based on? With Kurt Russell and James Spader? So now they are making a movie about the TV show ?

The Disney MGM relationship is not that well off from the rumors that float around here. So I doubt you will be seeing to many new MGM film attractions at Disney. Heck it's tough enough just to get Disney to build something out of their own ideas.

I would like this if it happened, DW would love it! she is hooked on SG1 now more than ST:TNG!

TV Guide had a cover story a couple weeks ago about Stargate SG1 being the "next Trek".

There is even a underwater spinoff coming according to the TV guide.

I didn't hear of a new full length movie coming out. is this with the TV cast (i am assuming).

I liked the first movie, and never watched the series when it started out as I didn't have the pay channel it was on. But now on Sci-Fi and I got into it. we have the DVR record all eps of it, and have the first three seasons on DVD.

Count us as big fans of the show and would love to see some attraction based on it. could be cool ride, simulate going through the gate, and landing in middle of Go'lud (sp?) attack.

Yes there was the Russel-Spader film. This is the basis for the series.

I have not heard of a new film in the franchise, but that doesn't mean anything

The fan site www.stargatesg1.com states that there are currently no plans to make a second movie, but on a behind the scenes sci-fi show a few weeks ago, they were talking about making one.
