The so-so trip..March madness is at WDW *Updated 7/27* Final thoughts

It seems to me breakfast potatoes are so iffy - either very good or very horrible, not anywhere in the middle. When they have been sitting a while, the texture and temperature, in my opinion, are gross. But when they are good, they are delicious!

Me, too. ::yes::

Good. Everyone should see flamingos every trip. It's a Bella thing.

I sure hope so, because I want pictures! :cool1:
I agree. :thumbsup2
:rotfl2: Next time I am going to tell them I am seeing them for Bella.

Scott, I had no idea about this report. I just read it up to the last entry and am loving it. The pictures are spectacular. You guys are like us...we like to stay at the resort and just relax...it gives us renewed energy to hit the parks.

You are doing great on the weight loss...keep it up. :thumbsup2
Glad you are here. I do like to rest in the middle of the day.
Thanks. it is hard but I am trying.

We did go in and here we go.

We stopped here to make sure our names were on the tour.

I had to take some pics.

And we were off. I will let the pics speak for themselves and there are a few of them LOL

Looked up and saw this.

Well hello there.

This guy looked angry at me.

A little closer.

Crocs. EEK!

I would love to do the African Wild Trek one day. See the bridge?

I’ve been caught.

This one followed us for a little bit.

Relaxing in the Florida sun.

These guys were very active.

Then we came to the elephants.

Don’t they live the good life?

Another relaxing. Lazy animals on this tour. LOL

Hello there.

The king was awake. I was shocked. This might have been the first time we saw him awake.

Ostrich eggs. Omelets anyone?

Or better yet, ostrich steak or burgers. YUM!

And then our tour was over. It was a fun tour and saw the lion which was really great.

Up next,

A walk in the forest

You got some really good pictures on your safari...a few really close up ones. I love seeing the giraffes (they are my favorite)...I don't think I've ever seen one sitting down though.

Had to get caught up! Was on vacation for a week then lots to do.

Love those nighttime pics of Boardwalk-Yacht Club!!:goodvibes
Glad you like Cape May. We love it there.

I think I take the most pictures at AK. Just love the safari & the walking trails.

Looking forward to more!!

They were working on the lion enclosure when we went on safari this last time so no lions for us. :(

Nice update! I'm not sure I will ever do the African Wild Trek-not sure I could cross the bridge! :scared1: Good pic of the lion!

Nice Safari pics and perfect pose from the King himself. I never, ever get the lion in my photograph, but I am determined to this trip, even if I have to ride 10 times. :rotfl2:

I did the African Trek a couple years ago. I definitely recommend it. It's a great tour!

Thank you.
Oh wait till later ion the trip if you love giraffes. I do not remember ever seeing one sitting down. It was nice to see being I thought they stood all the time. LOL

Hanging out all day under palm trees on Mickey Head Island - yep, that's the good life! ::yes::

That's a nice shot. :thumbsup2
:thumbsup2 I could handle it.
Thank you.

I hope you had a nice vacation.
Cape May has been very good so far, I hope it lasts.
Yeah definitely more opportunities to take a picture there.

:sad2: I find it the most exciting part because you never know if you will see them or not. LOL

:lmao: Nothing wrong with riding it 10 times. I hope you see him. I was shocked we did, finally.
I think next year we might do it.

Great update! :thumbsup2
Thanks.

That is an awesome Hippo photo they are usually hanging out underwater when we go by.
Thanks. I was very surprised to see it out along with the lion. It was a good safari.

We got to see the lion standing up on the day we went, but I don't think we got a very good pic since I was in shock at the fact that he wasn't asleep.::yes::

Thanks. It is a very slow process.
it has been very yummy for us. Hopefully stays that way.

I'm finally all caught up! I had to take a break from the DIS to focus on my Capstone and finishing my BA in Liberal Arts. Great report. Random thoughts in no particular order-- Coral Reef looked delish. I really want that pink Grey Groose Slushie right this second. That was sad about the dead butterfly's in the butterfly house! Have never stayed at AKL but it never seemed my kinda resort and not very "Disneyish" if you know what I mean? I see you are going at Christmas! Super jealous. Going to read that PTR now.
