Aisling got it into her head that the tooth fairy brings gold coins. Luckily the US has rarely used $1 gold coins so I got a bunch ahead of time (and she got an extra $5 for being the first tooth )

Isn't that nuts?!?! My DD still has friends who live there and yup, that's the going rate. Luckily I know this from convos with parents and not Aisling hearing it from the kids. My sister used to give my neice $20 too. Craziness. What is that line in Incredibles about celebrating mediocrity?

I sort of live in one of those kind of towns too so I told all the moms that we have to make a pact at what age they could have cell phones - cause you know once one gets one they will all want one!

Oh that will be the next thing. Luckily Aisling's school has them banded outright. Not allowed to carry them even if they are turned off. So hopefully I have awhile until we are worrying about that.

My mom still has gorgeous hair. She's never colored it and it's perfect. Even her grey is the perfect shade. My hair is wrecked given that I went grey at 18 and have been dyeing for 15 years!

Sorry I missed you at Stop and Shop. I was dealing with the Salem PD at AC Moore. Some dope left her two babies in a RUNNING car. I don't know how long she was gone but I was there 15 minutes before she came back. Hope she enjoys a night in jail

That IS my new bag!! I can't buy another one!!! Randy carries a backpack so we can throw the big stuff in his bag but I'm kinda freaking about it. Must be the six week mark...Time to FREAK OUT!!!!

I know a lot of you guys are show/Broadway people so I thought you could help.

Do you guys think it would be okay to wear nice jeans with a dressy top or sweater and nice shoes to see a 2pm show of Mary Poppins on Broadway?

I planned to wear linen capris which look nice and are comfortable but it is going to be way too cold. I don't have any pants that I like enough comfort wise to wear for a 16 hour day - riding a bus, walking around the city and seeing a show. Thoughts? I don't want to be inappropriately dressed but I want to be comfortable too.

You will be absolutely fine. I went to see a show in khaki shorts, sneakers, and a tshirt on Bway once (we were hanging out in the NYC for the day and decided on a whim to get tickets at the TKS booth) Problem was we ended up in the front row. I felt like a clown but you know what...nobody looked twice at us. Do you have comfy nice shoes???? Frankly, I would re-think them. Unless you are good at walking in nice shoes. Me...not so much.

Hope you guys have a great time at the show. Thank goodness we didn't join you. They decided to announce that Aisling is having dance pics AND class tomorrow!
