The Smith's "Yes We Are Pulling DD Out of School Twice This Year" PTR!

I love the countdown calendar! That thing is huge! :lmao: And great pics - your doggie is super cute! :goodvibes

Thank you! I was going to make Mickey heads instead of the grid but quickly realized that I could not fit 55 heads on it. :headache: Randy asked why I didn't ask do the math beforehand...ummm because only a man would think of that :rotfl2:

Thanks about Bailey. That's my Southern boy. We adopted him from New Orleans in November. I've never had a lab before. Man those dogs get big quick. He's only 7 months old and already has an "adult" face

Sorry to be MIA for so long! I have been following most of the updates on FB!

Woo-hoo for a new lens! I am debating spending the money on one.

Your trip will be here before you know it! Have you started sewing yet?

The countdown calendar looks like so much fun! I love the giant animal stickers, too!

So glad to hear that Mom is getting better.

How're the sewing projects coming along?

Kathy

Happy Easter, Kristine! :goodvibes

Thank you :flower3:

Stacy....they want to know how the sewing is coming :rolleyes1

All joking aside, Stacy is making something special for Aisling and her boys to wear and other than that, she's wearing repeats from October. The only thing I'm making is a Sea World outfit. Aisling picked out the fabric (which I really don't like but she does....:headache:) but that as far as it's gone. We are battling because I think she should wear capris and a top and she wants a dress. I'm sure she will win

Here are some pics from Easter

Our First Ever (in my whole life) outside Easter Egg Hunt (we've never had weather like this for Easter)

so cute! I love her haircut :goodvibes

Thanks!

It was a lot shorter. It's growing back really slowly though :headache: I'm going to have some major issues doing recital hair and Princess Leia buns on it :rotfl2:

DO YOU LEAVE TOMORROW????? Have a great trip!!! Are you going to be FBing updates???? (minus the getting pregnant part!)

Couldn't you just buy some fake princess Leia buns to pin on?

I vote for the Seaworld dress too. Do you know how hard it is to get my DD9 into any type of a skirt now? Never mind a dress. It just breaks my heart. I wear dresses and skirts all the time. She is going to wear a minnie and a Daisy T-shirt we just bought on our next trip though. BUT with jean shorts or capri's. It's all jeans, all the time here at my house. So that's why I voting for the skirt.

Great PTR so far! You are so lucky to be able to go so frequently. We are hoping that we will be able to start doing that again.

Aisling is adorable and I love all her customs! My daughter has a Gaelic name as well...Chaeli, which is pronounced Kaylee. We live about and hour and a half from Boston and are huge Sox fans as well.

Hope your Mom continues to heal well. She sounds like my Mom....always cleaning.

BTW loved your TR from Aisling's birthday trip, the video was adorable!!!

I could buy fake buns but I'm thinking it's going to be WAAAAY to hot for that. We'll just make due with what we have. I'm more concerned about her recital at this point. I hate the thought of buying fake hair for that.

She will probably get a dress. I just wanted to make something different. We are the direct opposite...I'm always in jeans and SHE wants to wear the dresses!

:welcome: Thank you for reading! We make Disney part of our budget so that we can go at least once a year. We also let the govt borrow our money all year so we always get a big refund. Not for everyone but it works for us :thumbsup2

Love the Gaelic spelling of your daughter's name. Very pretty

Thanks for checking out the video. Aisling gets very excited about the little things in life. Hope that continues!!!

50 days folks!!!!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay:

By the way, i caved and got the WICKED tickets for Aisling. She asked again and said that was all she wanted for her 7th birthday so that's what she is getting. :rolleyes1

You can get that hair up in a bun. Wet it, mousse it, bobby pin it. You can do it! :thumbsup2 We have SHORT hair here and get it up in a bun for recitals. I'm here for support if you need me. :cheer2:

We also let the govt borrow money from us all year. We use it as our vacation money. I'm no good at saving money, so this way we are guaranteed a vacay.

50 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That means it's not much longer than that for me too!!!!

Thanks!

Yeah I can see how thats going to be difficult making Leia buns. Start stocking up on bobby pins! :rotfl:

I leave TODAY!! 1/2 day at work (which is killing me) and we are flying out of Boston at 3pm. I will be posting live updates on fb with photos so be on the lookout!:goodvibes

Only two new dresses (I say dresses 'cause I know you will make a SeaWorld dress)! The horror! ;)

50 days!!!!:yay::cheer2: We leave for our vacation in 38 days! I am so excited!

Love the Easter photos! The weather was gorgeous here too! Now it is hot! Whoever thought it might hit 90 on April 7th in Pennsylvania!

Glad you got the Wicked tickets! I am sure she will enjoy the show more than getting a bunch of toys that she probably doesn't need anyway if she is anything like Jordan. Too bad it wasn't Mary Poppins tickets for next Saturday! :sad1:

Sorry...should have explained about the hair. Aisling's recital requires a high ponytail with SPIRAL curls coming out of it! (She takes ballet but they don't do ballet in the recital again until they are on pointe)

Ya...I'm a terrible saver. Saving enough for our house down payment/closing costs was torture :rotfl: Randy is better than me thankfully. I also have found saving my money in an ING account is a lot easier for me since I can't touch it without 3 days notice. In terms of retirement, I have that money taken right out of my check so I don't have any control over it (plus I'll get a state retirement).

you should get working on that PTR ;)

Bobby pins and LOTS of hair products!

I am SOOOOOO jealous that you are leaving today. Can't wait to follow along on FB (not that I would ever use work time to read DIS or FB ;))

It's hot here today too. Forecasted to be 87. NEVER this hot. Luckily on Good Friday one of my coworkers and I ran out on our lunch break (since we couldn't eat lunch because we were fasting) and got a quick pedi. Never thought my toes would be showing on April 7th!

Regarding the tickets, we decided awhile ago that we will get Aisling tickets to do something for her bday/Christmas. I think we only got her gifts for her 1st bday. My hesitancy about Wicked is that she saw it for her 4th bday. But she LOVED every second of it. So I figured at this point, she's old enough to decide for herself if she wants to give up a chance at another show to see it again.

I am so sad we can't join you at MP. How fun with that have been. I have to get to NY soon. I'm dying to go make a muppet!

If she loves Wicked enough to pick it again over something new, I think buying tickets was the right thing to do! That is a great tradition of doing tickets for bday/Christmas.

Rain check for NYC!

What is this making a Muppet thing? Fill me in please!

It's pricey ($100-ish with tax) but it looks like so much fun. My friend just went and did one. I was impressed that it look like an actual muppet. I thought it was going to be a small version

http://www.fao.com/whatnots/

(It says $129.99 on the website but it doesn't cost that much)

OMG that is the cutest thing!!!! (the muppet thingy)

Makes me wanna book a trip right now! We had thrown around the idea of a Sesame Street Wish for Matty before going for Disney. That would've been a great tie-in.

Haven't been posting but I'm still lurking here! Incredible weather we're having huh? My garden is calling me:)

Glad I didn't lose you!!! :flower3:

Isn't it crazy?!?! Randy is patting himself on the back that our pool is open. Um, I don't care how hot it is today...that pool is still frigid

Do you do veggies or flowers? We bought our house the last weekend in June last year so we had no clue what we had for flowers. We have TONS are they are gorgeous. We also have a large vegetable garden that they didn't plant last year because they knew they were moving. I really need to do something about it but I know nothing about doing a garden.

You can order one of the Muppets online if he's got a birthday or something coming up!
