Last night I was playing with the puppy. I said to my DH, "Smell her. She smells like Disney World." You know, the scarey thing is, he knew exactly what I was talking about. LOL.

So, do you know what I'm talking about? You smell it in the parks and in the rides. If you do, what is it? It doesn't smell like a cleaning product. Is it the water?

Barb (who is only slightly crazy)

LOL...I agree, but I have no idea what it is. It is a memroable smell.

My friends all think I'm nuts when I say there is a WDW smell. Thanks for making me feel better!!!

Sometimes the smell of deisel fuel will remind me of the buses.

I know that smell:D I think it has something to do with water and all the flowers around WDW.

My wife and I have always talked about it, but never thought anyone would know what we were talking about.Don't know what it is,but there is definitely a smell.:teeth:

It is a beautiful aroma that smells like happiness! Sort of a combo of the main street bakery, ice cream, and happy people.

Citrus smells remind me of Horizons :(

Wet musty smells remind me of PotC (but DL's)

Oily machine smells remind me of Temple Of The Forbidden Eye.

Every now & then I'll smell something that will remind me of it, even if I can't quite put my finger on it.

I love the Disney smell. Sometimes, on a warm and humid summer night, the Disney smell is around. My brother and I will comment on it to each other.

Citrus and Pine makes me think of Soarin' Over California :D

Also, to me anyway, all the dark rides seem to have a certain smell and it's the same in each one. Maybe the paint they use? Not a bad smell, just different. I noticed that even though Pooh at DL was new when I rode it, it had that smell as well.

I think early morning when the dew is on the grass and the birds are chirping and there is a certain smell in the air remind me of WDW. My kids and husband agree. We can't explain it, but when it's there we immediately think "Disney".

Thank you thank you! I'm NOT losing it.

It is so hard to explain. It's almost an earthy smell. I'm thinking a good algae scent. (Is there such a thing?) Maybe it has something to do with the plants and the grass and the water. Do you think maybe they put something in the fountains to keep out bacteria and such?

Where are the CM's when ya need 'em????

Oh, yeah, WDW has a unique smell.:) To me, it's a slightly salty smell.:) It's such a nice scent.:)

Here is another one chiming in that their is a distinct Disney Smell... brings a smile to my face.

And though you may think I am crazy you may want to try this one. Sometimes when we go to Disney and Florida my DW or I will buy a new cologne or perfume while we are there and wear it while on our trip. Then once we get back home everytime you put the scent on it reminds us of our trip. It is a small way of bringing a piece the magic back with you.

For those that don't know the sense of smell is the closest of the five senses linked to memory. That is why when you smell something it brings back such vivid memories. And don't think the Disney Company doesn't know this little tidbit of information..LOL. Why do you think they pump the smell of popcorn and candy up the grates on Main Street USA. mmmmMMMmmm ;)

Have a Disney Day!

Hearing a bus and smelling the diesel instantly sends me back to WDW.

There is an elevator at where I work that has that musty smell like Pirates. Everytime I ride the elevator, I think of WDW.

The only Disney smell that stays with me is from the ice cream shop on Main Street. After a while, it's too much! LOL! I don't think I could ever work there. ;)
