The smell of the water & fountains?

Ok....first off not sure if I have posted this in the right spot.

But......it was our first trip last May to the World.....I of course I was sick the entire time I was there....only me....found out it was from jet lag and food poisoning....but anyway.....what is the smell that is coming from the water???? It was everywhere......the fountains, public bathrooms, even at the pools, and when I took a shower, my hair would have that smell. It was not pleasant.....has anyone else found this smell odd???

And if there is another thread about this....point me to the right direction....because I would love to figure this out!

Yep. It's Sulfur.
