The Simpsons ??

Hello!

I see that there is a simpsons ride at Universal. (is it where Back to the Future was?)

Is there anything simpsons on the Islands of Adventure side? (since 6 of us want to see harry potter, and noone wants to pay to go into both sides of the park just for a simpsons ride with the exception of my dh who is slightly obsessed. You should see his simpsons collection. sigh)

also is there a meet and greet with simpson characters anywhere? and (I can't believe I am going to say this) is there any merchandise? I checked the online store at the universal link but didn't see anything

(i did see some Harry Potter stuff that intersts me!)

Hi!

I'm not sure about the location of the Simpsons ride, but I do know that it is very cool and something that a Simpson fan would probably enjoy riding. Even without being a huge fan of the Simpsons, you will probably still enjoy it. Although, if you are prone to motion sickness, you may want to take some Dramamine or something beforehand.

There are some places where you can see the Simpson's characters, but they are mostly free roaming- you may want to ask a TM where you can find them once you get there.

I understand the draw of the WWOHP, but you should take the time to explore both parks if you have it. There are not really any Simpson things over at IOA-it is more "mythical" based than US-

BUT there are a lot of cool things at both parks that if you missed you would probably be sad about later. If time allows in your trip, try to explore both

Of course, there is merchandise galore, but I don't know if that merchandise extends to both parks. I think each park's merchandise is based on what's in their park.

The Simpson ride is located where the Back to the Future ride was.

One of the reasons why we are going to Universal is for my DH to go on the Simpson ride. He is a big fan.

There are other great rides at Universal too such as the Mummy and Men in Black.

The Simpsons ride is located at The studios WWOHP is located at Island of adventure. Two separate parks.
The ride is located toward the back of the park near MIB.

There is a Giftshop next to the ride made to look like the qwickie mart

There is other merch throughout the front gift shop as well.

Oh and I second The Mummy! it is awesome! I think the only ride i didn't enjoy was Disaster. The only good part abut it is Walken.

As others have stated...The Simpsons is where BTTF was located. Here is a picture of the front of the building:

There are meet and greets with The Simpsons just about everywhere...sometimes even outside the Studio gates...just keep your eyes peeled.

sigh. he would soooooooooo love that. We don't have time to do both of the parks unfortunately. We could make time, but I am the only one who would do two days there. Even dh wouldn't.
so maybe i will buck up and go with him into the studios while *whaaaaa* everyone else goes into Islands of Adventure (which has all the awesome roller coasters too! )

If you can't make it over to Studios (which IMO you really should, there are some great attractions over there for example, The Mummy is by far one of my favourite rides, ever! The theming in the queue area is stunning.) I believe there is Simpsons merch avaliable in IoA, if I recall there were towels, t shirts and the refillable squishee cup on the cart just at the end of Port of Entry, before you go head off to Marvel Island or Suess Landing. (or at least, there was when I was there in October! ) I believe some of the prizes you could play for in Toon Lagoon also included some Simpsons plushes. And the Universal store in Citywalk most likely holds Simpsons merch.
