The Silly and Mischievous Adventures of Four Crazy Canucks - FINAL THOUGHTS 2/1

Classic!

Why?:confused3 Lessa, you must shop with me. Then you'd buy everything! :rolleyes1

Good job sticking to your budget :thumbsup2 I'm usually good with that but Disney does something to me... I always say I'm just gonna buy a few useful souvenirs, and then I come home with three snow globes and four stuffed animals that wind up sitting untouched in my basement

That is exactly what I was trying to avoid this year and I was successful except for a few cheap purchases.

Wow Lessa you did control your spending, not like you at all ;) :rotfl:

I wonder what other shoppers thought of the princesses? :rotfl2:

"Do you recognize me?" I had no clue who this person was and it kinda freaked me out so I just kept on walking. Perhaps he wasn't even talking to me but it sure was weird.
I sure hope he wasn't. This is why I tell you guys to not include such detailed plans in your pre-trips. I am enjoying the rest of your TR, thanks again for providing those links to the next update, I know I can trust you with all the chit/chat inbetween. And I sure wish I could get over and visit the FG more.

:confused3 I didn't include any specifics on my flight info so that would have been some good guess work if it actually was some kind of weirdo stalker. Plus it was at the gate so only somebody with a ticket could have been there. It was just weird. My thought was maybe he recognized me from the boards. :confused3 Then again he probably wasn't talking to me and it was my lack of sleep making my imagination work in overdrive. :lmao:

I think the links make it a lot easier for people to follow along in the report if they don't want to read all the comments. Although if they don't read comments they will be missing out on Alek and Erich's commentary. ;)

Mom and I ditched Alek and Erich in the Christmas shop and headed across the way to The Art Of Disney. I love this store, so many beautiful paintings and sculptures. If only I could afford them all. :rotfl:

I think this was in here

I would have loved to buy this but sadly there was no room in our luggage for it, I would have had to leave all my clothes in WDW.

I saw these Precious Moments statues and fell in love. I collect the Disney Precious Moments and these ones are only sold in the park. Again the luggage issue came up and it is so expensive to ship stuff to Canada from the store.

Alek and Erich caught up with us at this point. Erich loved all the Wall-E artwork.

Some pictures of paintings that we liked, they are all priced at over $1000.

After I finished lusting over all the beautiful items we decided it was time to hit up Goofy's Candy Company!

I really wanted to try out the make your own treat they offer here. I got pretzel sticks dipped in milk chocolate, them covered in peanut butter cup with milk chocolate drizzle. Chocolate peanut butter pretzels are absolute heaven and these ones were so good! I got three of them for $3 I think.

Here they are, they don't look like much but they sure were good!

Alek and Erich both got slushies that came in refillable Goofy cups. Mom treated us to our purchases here.

Some pictures from around the store while we waited for my pretzels to be made.

Alek and Erich had a lot of fun with the Magic Mirror located in the back of the shop.

We only had one more shop that we wanted to visit before leaving and that was the Lego store. We trudged over to the store in the pouring rain. It was a windy rain too so I had to hold down my poncho. The Lego store was packed! We didn't end up spending much time here at all.

At that point we were discussing what we wanted to do for dinner. I suggested that we checkout Wolfgang Puck Express. Of course it was located all the way on the other side of Disney Marketplace so we once again trudged all the way across DTD in the pouring rain only to discover that Erich did not care for the menu. We decided to just go back to the hotel to eat as we were done with DTD by this point.

Driving back into POP we saw the POP Pizza Delivery van and decided that was what we would do for dinner but when I got back to the room and saw that it would be over $20 for one pepperoni pizza that idea was trashed.

We decided to just go down to the food court and see what was offered. Oh my goodness, that place was an absolute zoo! Complete chaos! We decided to just get a pizza to share so I stood in line to order while the rest went to find a table.

I didn't end up having to wait in the long line though as one of the workers came through the line asking if anybody was placing an order for a large pizza and pulled me off to the side. He took my order, gave me a pizza shaped buzzer and a receipt to take to the register to pay. Mom joined me at that point with a refillable mug in hand.

The pizza plus the mug and the juice that mom was getting came to just over $30.

It took about 10 minutes for the pizza buzzer to go off so not bad at all.

The pizza was only okay, it felt good in my empty stomach though.

After eating we went back up to the room and just relaxed. Erich transferred our pictures from the day onto his laptop and we reviewed them all and deleted the ones we didn't want to keep. I also started working on my trip notes for the day. While doing that the phone rang and it was Kat! She was back in her room and invited me over. I said sure and that I would be over in a few. I thought I would be nervous about meeting my Dis friends for the first time but I was not nervous at all! Kat and I got along great! I think we sat in her room and chatted for a good hour or more. All I know is that I did not get back to my room until after 10. We went down to the food court at one point so that Kat could warm up her dessert that she had leftover from dinner that night. We parted ways on the way back up to the room as it was getting late and I had been up for over 36 hours at that point!

I tried to get to sleep when I got back but I couldn't, you would think my body would just shut-down at that point. :confused3 After tossing and turning for a while I decided to get up and read for a while. I didn't want to disturb anybody by turning the light on in the main part of the room so I grabbed Breaking Dawn and read in the sink area of the room. I think I finally got to sleep around 1am.

Lessa, those pretzels look wonderful! I think I'm going to have to get some of those in October! I had the rice krispie treat last year and it was good too.

Glad you and Kat got along so well!

All caught up!

I'm glad you got a good room, and how funny that it was so close to Kat's! :goodvibes

I'm so proud of you for sticking to your budget!

Glad I could keep you company. :thumbsup2

great update and pics.

those pretzels looked good. I might try one next week.

how nice u got to spend time with Kat. She is great to hang with.

Mmm those pretzels look so good! They're the best deal in Disney. I got three pretzel rods covered in chocolate, white chocolate, m&ms, sprinkles and Reese's Peanut Butter cups for $3 last summer... you can't beat that and I still crave them! I love the pictures from DD! The Art of Disney's always one of my favorite stores. Isn't everything in there absolutely gorgeous? Now if only it wasn't crazy expensive

You read Breaking Dawn! I finally caved into the peer pressure and bought all four books. I'm only on Twilight now but I'm loving it. How'd you like the series?
