The Silly and Mischievous Adventures of Four Crazy Canucks - FINAL THOUGHTS 2/1

When we got to the entrance the person checking our name on the ADR list joked about how we were late and he couldn't let me in. I think he saw the panicked/annoyed look on my face and quickly said that he was joking. ;)
Very funny :rolleyes1 Glad you got in fine!

Our server appeared at our table promptly to fill our glasses with the super yummy Jungle Juice which I think I remember her saying is a mix of orange juice, passion fruit juice and guava juice.
Is it the same as at O'Hanas? Because that was yummy!

As we were about to dig in I saw a woman passing by and I recognized her right away. It was Janet, another Focker.
Wooohooo :goodvibes

As Mom and Alek were paying for his new poncho I saw a most frightening sight......
OMG what?????

I am lovin this tag team report! You guys are hilarious. So why do you suppose the floor smelled like poop? Maybe they keep the animals in there during the night?

I love your updates! They are great when your having a not so wonderful day!!

Don't keep us in suspense for too long kay??

Who knows really what caused the smell. :confused3

Nope, never been to Chef Mickey's although I always plan for us to go we never end up making it. :confused3 I imagine the food is probably about the same about both with Tusker House being the cheaper character breakfast.

You guys are cracking me up. Poor poopy poncho (say that 5 times fast). And how dare you leave us with a cliffhanger!!!

When I last left you I was waiting for Mom and Alek to finish up with their purchase of the new ponchos. As I was looking past them I saw something completely frightening! It was a sea of people surging towards us across the bridge and the only thing keeping them from overtaking us were two tiny looking CM's. :scared1: There is nothing like being on the other side of the rope and seeing the crowd converge upon you, I thought for sure we would be trampled once they let that rope drop.

Luckily we survived the crowd and made our way into the safari queue before they could overtake us. We were one of the first safari trucks to depart that morning. The driver was moving really quickly and my camera was just not cooperating. Alek gave me his to use which I had a bit more luck with but Erich's camera had the best results.

Let me tell you, the rain was a blessing this morning as it really brought the animals out of hiding. We saw tons of them, way more than we saw last year. So going to Animal Kingdom on a rainy day was not such a bad thing after all. Here's a few pictures

We were very pleased with how many animals we got to see. Some of them got very close to the truck, it was great.

Next up we went on the Pangani trail as it is right next to the Safari. This turned out to be a very interesting and entertaining trek. Somehow we missed most of it last year :confused3 . I know we did part of it before as we saw the gorillas but not the rest of the trail. This time around we saw the whole thing.

Alek and Erich really enjoyed taking pictures of all the small animals that they have in that little house that's on the pathway.

Some very unique looking ducks

And finally the best part of this trail, the gorillas!

The first one we saw was taking a nap. He was so cute! We couldn't get very good pictures of him though as the glass was all fogged up.

Then we went around the corner to an outdoor viewing area. We didn't see anything initially so Erich started to walk off. Right after he left I saw some bushes rustling so I yelled out for him to come back.

This beautiful gorilla emerged from the bushes. He walked around for a bit and checked us out and then found a yummy stick to eat.

Alek decided to make a video of the gorilla with some commentary added in. I think you will all enjoy it.

The gorilla then decided to stand up and beat his chest

We all found this very amusing, I have never seen a gorilla do that before except for on tv. Erich decided to beat his chest along with the gorilla and the CM/guide was quick to tell him not to do that. He said that if you are too loud and disturb him or if he sees you as a threat (beating your chest) you may get something unpleasant thrown at you (poop) :lmao: . Erich quickly stopped and we got a good chuckle out of it. The CM said that he has seen it happen before so just a warning to you all, be careful of your actions around the gorillas or you will need to watch out for flying poop. :teacher:

Did you not fear for your life and the lives of your loved ones when you saw it? ;)
::yes:: :scared1:
