The Silly and Mischievous Adventures of Four Crazy Canucks - FINAL THOUGHTS 2/1

I saw these Precious Moments statues and fell in love. I collect the Disney Precious Moments and these ones are only sold in the park. Again the luggage issue came up and it is so expensive to ship stuff to Canada from the store.

OMG, those are adorable! I've never seen the PM Disney Collection. I may have to start a collection for Mads.

Alek and Erich caught up with us at this point. Erich loved all the Wall-E artwork.

Wall-E rocks! :thumbsup2

Here they are, they don't look like much but they sure were good!

Mmmm!!! That's exactly what I get, except I prefer dark chocolate. They were SOOO good!:cloud9:

That's great that you got to spend a good amount of time with Kat. That was my only complaint about FF'08, was I didn't have enough time to sit and chat and really get to know anyone.

those make your own treats rule, did you know that you did not have to get all the pretzels the same you could have mixed them up? just a little info fo you...the giant oreo is awesome as well.popcorn::

i have one of those cocunut bras, i am wearing it when we go to hawaii, and never taking it off.
:goodvibes

yes...send in that picture...that would be hilarious if they showed it on TV ....lol

You can find them at Hallmark in the States I believe or of course at Disneyland, lucky girl living so close!

I know, and I got to spend the least amount of time of you all! That's my own fault though for being such a picky eater.

I did know that but I am all about the chocolate and peanut butter. :cutie:

I am sure they would do it, they have no problem making themselves look ridiculous.

Mom would never allow it though. :lmao:

:confused3 Wasn't sugar I know that for sure as I didn't have any that night. I think my body is just so used to working nights and I never can sleep well in new places. Don't really know though, I should have been knocked right out considering how long I had been up. :confused3
Of course he is dressed for supper at O'Hanas Right!!:rotfl2:

Loving your trip report! This is getting me so hyped up about my trip in 12 days! :)

I agree! I felt like we were at a wedding or something, where you try and get to mingle with everyone but its almost impossible!

Hey folks, I am going to try and get another update out this evening at work. It will all depend on how crazy the frosh decide to get.

I woke up nice and refreshed for our first day in the parks despite my lack of sleep the night before. Alek and I took a stroll over to the food court to fill up the mug with apple juice and we took some pictures of the hotel along the way.

As you can see in the pictures it is not raining! That made me hopeful for the day...

The food court was deserted, complete opposite of the night before.

When we got back to the room my cell phone started ringing, it was Janet returning my call from the day before. I took the phone outside as I can not trust my brothers to not make rude noises while I am on the phone. Back in the spring when I was trying to make our ADR's Erich kept making loud farting noises in the background, I wanted to kill him! I could barely hear the CM on the phone as it was. Anyways, Janet was going to be spending the day at Hollywood Studies as well so we talked a bit about our plans and chatted on the phone for a few minutes before heading out for the day.

We piled into the car and as I was backing out of the parking spot this family decided it would be a brilliant idea to walk right in front of our moving vehicle. Alek and Erich got a lovely picture of me looking ps'd off and I will kill them if they post it!

We got to the park quickly and got a parking spot that was relatively close to the front. Yay!

We were walking up to the park and were near the bus drop-off area when I saw two figures near the bag check area waving their arms in the air and it looked like it was directed at us. I wondered who could recognize us from so far away and as we got a bit closer I saw that it was Jo (DisneyJo) and her daughter Jess. I waved back so she would know I saw her and hurried my walking up a bit. Got through back check quickly and then met up with Jo and introduced her to my family. From that point on Alek and Erich referred to her as "the English lady" , that is quite a distinction as none of the other people I was meeting up with even got referred to at all other than "your Dis friends". They must have been charmed by your accent Jo. We chatted for a few minutes but then parted ways as we still had to get through the ticket turnstiles and deal with the rope drop crowd. We of course failed to get a picture in typical Focker fashion.

The crowd was pretty big but not as big as I was expecting, I suspect that Fay had something to do with that. Some pictures we took while waiting for rope drop

This guy was hilarious and gave Erich a shout out for his shirt as we passed him by once the rope dropped.

It started to sprinkle a bit as we were waiting for rope drop so the ponchos got brought out and pulled on for the first of many times that day.

It was absolute madness once the rope dropped, everybody was speed walking towards Toy Story Mania not really paying attention to anything else around them. I kept looking over my shoulder to make sure that the family was keeping up with me while trying to not get trampled by the mob around us.

We opted to head straight into the standby line for the ride vs getting fastpasses as the lines for the fastpass machines were crazy and the area around the ride was so packed full of people that it was difficult to tell where the line even started for standby. Luckily we got into the right line and waited for it to start moving into the building. Around that time I saw Jo run by to join up with her family in line. She had been victorious in her quest for Toy Story fastpasses, she waved them in the air like a trophy as she passed us and waved hello again.

The line finally started moving and we got into the building quickly after that. The queue area for this ride is so well done, it almost makes you forget the crazy line you are standing in. Once inside the building we all pulled our poncho's off, the CM's at all the rides were asking you to take them off as soon as you entered any building. The pulling the poncho on and off would be a constant occurrence this day.

Mom was so happy to be at WDW, I think she even started to tear up in happiness as we were walking up to the park that morning.

Alek was really excited to see this picture of a cow. He really likes cows for some reason, something to do with his friend Bill having a pet cow or something like that. He can tell you what is up with his cow love if he wants to.
043a.jpg

This poor little bird was trapped in the building, I hope it found its way out eventually, it looked scared.

045a.jpg

Alek and Erich were also really excited about this, it is the "Pixar lamp", featured in their very first animated short, the one that started it all. Alek gave me grief for not knowing right away why this giant red lamp was so cool.

049a.jpg

The line was fairly fast moving and I think we were in line for 30 minutes tops. I kept seeing Jo ahead of us in line but she was too far away to talk to.

We eventually got on the ride, Mom beat me royally when it came to points but my accuracy was much better. That is what I tell myself to make myself feel better about losing. lol

We all really liked the ride so we grabbed some fastpasses afterwards. They were stamped for 4:30-5:30.

JIm said that rush for the TSM area was chaos. I never had to deal with it. Both times we went to DHS I took Andrew right to ToT and RmRC while Jim got the fastpasses. I can't believe we never saw you this day.

We stopped by the Big Wheel everytime we walked to the food court.

The pics of POP are so cool. We're staying at Movies for one night in October, but with DVC, I doubt we'll ever stay at POP.

I can't wait to ride TSM!

great update and pics.

how nice to have seen Jo so early in the morning.

The ride sounds great.

Um what will you do if they post the pic?

It is crazy over there. They should have made the area bigger. Too many people trying to get to the same place in a too small area.

I can't believe we didn't see you either. :confused3

POP was a fun place to stay, the decor is interesting.....

Also make sure to get to Toy Story right at rope drop if you don't want to wait in an insanely long line.
