The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

Yup that pretty much sums up the side effect all right. :rotfl:

And that is not such a bad side effect! :lmao:

Love your AK pictures! Isn't EE at night the best?! I think they have stopped doing PM EMH there for some reason, and I'm bummed because I loved being there the 2 times in the dark that we were! It's just so unique and awesome!

Loved your TL update too - how very cool that you got some behind the scenes tours and all that. I bet it was really interesting! Is TL considered one of the best in the industry, or anything like that?

Well, you had yourself quite a productive evening! I love so many things about this park. So many, many details. Eating out by the water at Flame Tree is nice for those of us who don't have 'bird-o-phobia'. :) We saw a gator in the water down there once, too, so that was cool.

Right now it hurts to even think about riding a jerky ride, but even on a good day, I'll let you have my turn on Everest.

Thanks for the pictures tonight. I know it's cool down there in FL right now, but I'm pretty sure it is better than the snow and 25 mph winds we are having. I'll be having a snow day tomorrow.

I pretty much started know I would have 2 trips, maybe a third if the 2010 conference had similar or earlier dates. Even that snowballed. :rotfl2:

I like Ak at night but there is not that much to do. The safari will shut down before dark. You basically can see
A special EMH rope drope at EMH start time
Festival of the Lion King
Dinosuar
Primeval whirl and Triceratops Spin
EE
it tough to be a bug show
Characters are out.

Trails are closed and most animal viewing is closed off. I guess you can do most of the rides but for me AK is so much about the animals so it seems like there is not much to do. :lmao:

Disney is always considered top in the industry. Disney World deals with so much more than the typical American theme park. International Tourists and higher than normal expectations but they have to deal with the same health and industry regulations we all have. The theming is what set them apart and how they "hide" everything they need in that theming is pretty neat too. Disney has worked the kinks out of a lot of things due to necessity so when the "the little guy "asks, Disney can usually have a solution.

I needed those pictures to warn up too.:cold: I can hear the wind outside.

Official snow day? They called it already? Yikes. The weather people here say we are not going to get anything. We may see something but it should not accumulate.
Currently Atlanta is colder than but the rule is whatever Atlanta gets we get, so I am waiting.

Say warm, make some soup and curl up under a Disney blanket and rest.

Cool AK day! I so love the details in this park. The trail around the Tree of Life is so nice.

I really missed Festival of the Lion King on this trip. I wish I'd just gone and let Clay and the girls do their own thing. OK...don't think I'm weird but....is that an arrow in that Tumblemonkey's private area???!!! :laughing

I head out under the Dino’s belly. Look they light up.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

It was snowing in Concord about 8:00 tonight but when I got in our neck of the woods it hadn't done a thing. It's snowed a little bit here now but I think it's stopped. The wind will chill ya to the bone!

Thanks for the shout-out Pat.

That guy really made himself at home on that bench, didn't he?

Very interesting how the Dino's belly lights up.

Oops, I looked at your posts on this page before I caught the ones toward the end of the last page.

I think that animal they were trying to get acclimated was a wallaby. That's my guess anyway.

Love your pictures of the animals in the Tree of Life. You could look at that all day and still see new critters.

It is.:rotfl2: As many time as I have seen the show and stared at the tumble monkeys I have never noticed that. I guess I don't look there. :rolleyes1

We got nothing here.:headache: Oh well.

This time I did not want to post myself until I got to a new page. :rolleyes1

I never did catch what it was. It looks like a Monty Python Rabbit to me. :rotfl:

Somehow I still think I have still missed a trail or two. What I have read is that is that the trail surround the tree. I think I have only seen 1/2 the tree. Another reason to go back.

Thanks for the shout-out Pat.
No problem :goodvibes

I know right? Most people either fall asleep accidentlysitting up or stretch out on thier backs. This guy looks like he is trying to watch football in his livingroom.:rotfl2:

I think the placement is funny enough and then they light up at night. :rotfl2:

Did you get snow overnight? I just took trash out, and it looks like we got a couple of inches. It's not a pretty, quiet snow, though. It is a 'crunchy' snow, and the wind will run straight through you in a second. It would be dangerous to be out for more than a few minutes.

I did make potato soup yesterday, actually. I worked on report cards for a while, and I had Hallmark Christmas movies on as I piddled around the house.

Jill said she got some snow but she is about 30-45 min north of me. I got nothing but wind. Not even white grass. :sad2: Actuallly we did get something, black ice. Very cold today, high was maybe 32?

I hope you don't have to use many snow days this week.

We just got a very, very, very, light dusting. Once it hit the ground you didn't even know it was there. I did hear about some icy patches on my way in to work this morning. I heard it was supposed to get down to 15 tonight and the high would be in the 30's. I really wish I could work from home in my flannel pjs!

Who knows what we will be waking up to tomorrow. We have an event scheduled for tomorrow night. It is our Annual Swim with Santa event.

I hope it goes either full out ice and snow or just rain. I can't stand when we get just enough to mess things up but not enough to make an easy decision.

I was last on a bus to somewhere. Where was that somewhere?
CSR- nope
MK- nope
My stop was near this.

I went here.

I make it here by 8:20, enough time to make Illuminations.

With Illuminations over I linger and then head out.

All parks are now closed. MK had a Halloween party, I already closed AK, and DHS already closed as well. I did not want to venture to DTD since I have already had one adventurous bus ride home from there. This time I did head to the bus stop and back to CSR.

You are on a posting ROLL!!!! :worship: You had a splendiferous day at AK! And a GREAT EMH!!

They light up??!!! :scared1::lmao: TOO funny!!!

I sure loved the FotLK!! But for me it's really a toss up between that and Nemo. I love the energy of the Lion one, but love beauty and theater of Nemo.

I totally knew you wouldn't go back to the resort at 8:00. Super Illuminations pix. I still think I'd be strolling around WS during it though.

Wow, you went to Illuminations too? You were a park maniac that day! I don't blame you for shying away from DTD after your previous bus ride.

You really know how to get all the fun out of a WDW day. It sounds like you were having so much fun.

I am rushing this along because I want to get some holiday pics up before it is March. :rotfl2: I try to make the most of what time I had.

I was able to catch both this time. I like both shows too but the tumble monleys...:lovestruc

You pretty much know me on that one!!! I did stay until crowds thinned out a bit but I had already walked around Wed night and this was Fri nght and it was a bit more crowded.

It was still "early" so I went for it.

I still harbor some DTD fear. I never seem to be able to " get in and get out" of there.

I have one more day of park craziness left.:woohoo:
