The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

Wow, 4 parks in one day!!! :worship: Awesome!

Great pictures of the MSEP. You have me convinced that we have to do EMH this trip. You did a lot at MK that evening.

Can't wait to read more.

Erika

I did not plan on doing that it just worked out that way. My time at EPCOT was short and I doubled back to DHS but all in all it was a great day.

Evening EMH at MK is a great way to to go from ride to ride without lines.

What an action-packed evening! The crowds looked pretty thick. No, I'm not talking about their comprehension level, but who knows?

I think if they are all just standing there herding towards the exit, then it might say something about hteir comprhension level.

I like your pictures of the parade from train station!
It was a cool location. Little hard to escape from ... but a great view.

I can't even imagine getting a fastpass for 1:15 AM!

Maybe what is scarier is that I actually needed a FP at 1 am !!! :scared1:

Wow, that's alot of fun packed into one day! I think I would have collapsed well before you did!

I just noticed that you are from Charlotte, NC. I am going to a conference there this summer for 4 days in July. What is there fun to do in Charlotte? I know DH definitely wants to hit up the Nascar museum. Any other recommendations? It will be me, DH and DS9.

Thanks!

At the time I was not tired at all. I must have taken a little nap when the pool closed. That gave me the energy to finish the night.

Are you staying right in Downtown/Uptown Charlotte? The NASCAR museum is right there as well as Ray's Splash Planet the indoor waterpark where I work. It is a small indoor water park but good to spend a few hours.

In Center City we also have Discovery Place a hands on museum that is pretty cool. Not too far away we also have an amusment park - Carowinds.

I would also love to meet up with you if possible. If you want to Pm the details I can try to suggest some fun things to do.

Now that's what EMH is all about!! Lots of rides, zero lines, the magic of MK at night! LOVE THAT!!

I'm so glad you got to meet up with MeMom!! Sounds like you really hit it off, and had some special time together!

Amazing that it was still warm enough to ride Spl. after midnight sometime. WOW!

And for the record, I have NO idea why you subject yourself to the raceway either. Fumes+Noise= Massive instant headache.

My goodness, what a long, active night! I think you would have had to leave me sleeping on a bench near Main St.

I can't believe how you got through that day!! Wow! I would love to do that one time at WDW, but I thanks to jet lag there isn't really any chance, I think I need about 10 days to adjust to the new time zone before I can stay up any longer than 11pm or so... But it sounds like you had the time of your life! :thumbsup2

We had met back on Oct trip and the NYE trip very briefly. I hope NYE we can spend a bit more time together.:goodvibes

Still balmy after midnight. I know I got a little wet but I don't think I got soaked. But then again I cannot remember the last time the water cannons missed me.

The second I got in the car and pulled up to the point where there was no turning back I thought the same thing.

It is amazing what Disney Adrenaline can do.:goodvibes

I sleep well at Disney. Most trips. I figure if I don't pass out within seconds of putting my head down I am not doing enough.

I feel you pain on the jet lag. When my Dh used to travel to Germany for business years ago, he would have the worst time getting readjusted. He would nap which would mess it up more. I take the caffiene and Benadryl approach and force myself to adjust pretty quickly.
The only time I have had to deal with it was when I went to Vegas. I was up at 4 am until the last day and then it was time to catch a red eye home. :headache:

Until I looked back at the day, I had no idea I was in all 4 parks and while I was Disney tired, I was not exhausted.
I did try to sleep in the next day.

Ack who am i kidding?- update next page :rotfl2:

Saturday July 10th
I think I need to mention I got in at 3am this morning. I intended on sleeping in. Well imagine my surprise when mousekeeping knocks on the door at 8:55am!!!!!
I was SO not amused. I was also SO not able to go back to sleep. I slowly got up and showered.
I made it to the food court for a hearty breakfast that I brought back to the room.

I spent the morning downloading pictures from the camera and really just resting.
Wigd and Shocker were checking out and had some snacks they wanted to pass along. Wigd had also put the DVC bug in my ear. Maybe I would check that out.
It was a little after 12:30 when I finally reached the bus stops.
I see this waiting at the front.

Someone is not having a good day.
A bit of the surroundings.

I finally board a bus at

I figure I would head out to the Boardwalk to collect the goodies Wigd and Shocker were kind enough to leave for me.
Time to head to

I get off at the Swolfin and walk it.

I see the sign for the DVC villa at the Boardwalk. Hmmm that bug worked. I walk in.
IMG_4614.jpg

I look around and have a lovely chat with the CM. She calls for the van and I am off to SS.

Great pics of the Boardwalk, Pat. Although I have no desire to stay there, it is a beautiful sight.

When in September are you going?

The Boardwalk is nice and the walk to EPCOt and longer walk or Boat to DHs can't be beat.

I am looking at September 26th - Oct 3rd. I am planning to run the 5k on Oct 1st and go to my annual conference in New Orleans on Oct 3rd. I need to wait for approval on vacation time which should not be a probem. My room is booked at All star Sports since I had a great pin code and it is a 5k resort for transportation.

Well, let me know once you firm up your plans; we will definitely have to set up a time to at least say hello or do a ride together or something (we are there the 25th - 28th, leaving the morning of the 29th).
