I am being cautiously optimistic but I have not even made a ticker yet. Vacation requests for that time can't be submitted until June 1st. It should not be a problem but I really want to book that flight. Then it will be real.

Oh, I wish now that we had checked out the Taste of Africa last summer. I think we were in the park early the morning it started but left early afternoon. It looks like a lot of fun.

I believe Taste of Africa was specifically designed to keep people in the park after the parade. It started after the parade and went until park close. I think they are trying to make this an annual event.

I am looking around the Taste Of Africa waiting for Wigd and Shocker. They were texting while on the way.
This always cracks me up. Cap'n Bob's but call and ask for ED???

More Festival fare

I spot Wigd and Shocker so I walk up and say hi. We continue to walk around and see what there is to offer.

We all tried some of the food and most of it was yummy. Very Food and Wine like. The place is alive with music, dancing and Brazilians. We find a seat at a table and chat a bit.

I get a text from MeMom asking if we are still there and then that Jill, John and Brooklyn are heading our way.
Jillyb texts me too and says hi.

Jill and crew find us and we all say our hellos and look around. Brooklyn wanted a ride on the safari before it closed so we all headed there.

I think it was here that Jill had a great idea. Just like they had 1st timer buttons, they should have a button that tells the CM you are a vet and they do not need to remind you that they will park the stroller further up in the queue.

In no time we have the stroller parked and we are loaded up in the back of the truck.

It was closing in on 7pm and we wanted to get to MK to see MSEP.
Making our way out we caught a bus to the TTC. Jill, John and Brooklyn went back to POP to see Trent.

Do we make it? Once at the TTC how do we get to MK? Who else joins us?

We caught a bus from AK to the TTC and despite this picture...

I know we caught the ferry to MK. Sunset from the ferry.

We entered MK and made our way to the Train station to watch the parade. Texts from MeMom to look for Dancing princess and her family. Everyone was found and we all commented that while we all understand the MeMom clan was visiting with Trent and they were all hot and exhausted we all missed them since MeMom sort of organized the meet and she was missing it.

Some of us went to get drink and popcorn and everyone went upstairs to the train station to find a good position. We chatted and people watched until the parade began. We were all having so much fun just getting to know each other and being with each other.

Somewhere along the way I realized I was in all 4 parks today. What a great group to watch a parade with. We discovered that Ed (Dancingprincess’ dad ) have never had a Dole whip. I think by now that has been rectified. ;
It was now 9pm and I proudly present- My first viewing of the MSEP. Cue the music.

Oh no the headless Cindy is back!

We noticed this woman had a chair right by the railing and she would get on the chair and lean over the railing during the parade. You can see her arm as she waved wildly to the left side of the Big Ben Picture. I do believe Anita snapped a picture of this sight. She was being very animated and wide in that that she was taking up more space and moving around that she should so she would in end up in other people's pictures.

A majorly quick scroll through the pix says you had a GREAT time at AK with the Taste- AND you made it to MSEP! I wish I could sit and soak in the updates more right now, but I"m out the door to Olympia for eggs and such.

When Dan said he had charging rhinos I am sure this guy was doing it. Just the look and fact the jeep went real slow.... I am sure it is in their nature to charge to protect themselves but that one was a little too close.

The MSEP that night was magical. I cannot remember but I do think I saw it as a child but thatwas a long time ago. I know I rememebr the music.

You really did get all the Nightastic things into one evening! I hope you stayed for the fireworks. They supposedly were the same as the ones shown during the Pirate & Princess Parties and those were just incredible!

MeMom said she read it was going on again this year. I hope they move it to a cooler time of year - Oct would be perfect - the CM's were so hot and those near a cooking station had it worse.

I did didn't I ??? I really did not plan it that way but it all fell together. We did wander a bit and see the fireworks.

We had fun that night!! There were giggles as we bumped along the safari and took pictures of the African Broom and The African Blur. We laughed as we made our way to the MK.
As we all assembled and got ready to watch the parade we got excited and got our cameras out.
The only thing I am sad about is that we never got a picture of all of us together.


The headless Cindy seems to be out a lot. MeMom got a picture of her too!

I sure wish I could have been there to see the sugar cane pressing with her.

I saw the Main Street Electrical Parade eventually, although not that night. Sorry I missed the group thing.
