Wow! Two parks - or three if you count the return trip to Epcot - and this was after starting at 4AM???

Animal Kingdom at night is beautiful. I have never been there after dark - I'll have to remedy that sometime - those pictures of Everest and the Tree lit up would be worth the trip.

I attempt the ultimate hopper a few days later.
Thanks- the pictures are a little grainy but I love the effect at night.

I love the night photos of Animal Kingdom. I've never been there at night.

I was on a Disney high I tell ya. Night time at Ak is pretty. Crowds are hit or miss depending on what else is going on but usually pretty light.

When Parker get a little older I bet you will spend some time serious time there at night.

What makes me mad is that I did notice but forgot again once I had the update ready to go.

I remember it raining and I had that moment of "Really, why did I come out here to sit in the rain eating so-so chinese food?" It was getting dark so I was having a hard time looking at the sky to determine if it would pass but in pictures I see it was wet but no real puddles and no ponchos so it must have been a short rain.

My mission this morning was to meet up with MeMom, Jill, Brooklyn and Bella. The plan was to meet by the castle at rope drop. This was my first Dismeet and I had not seen the rope drop show at MK before. I have been inside MK early before for breakfast at CP but I never thought to be outside the gate watching the show.
I was up early

I wanted to be sure to get something to eat so I grabbed the camera and walked up to the food court. Since I was by the juke box I had to stop and read, and snap to share. A few of my favorites.

This would be funny to see.

Since the days were getting shorter it was not quite light out. I felt as though I was in Memom's pictures.

I arrived at MK about 8:15. I saw this and wished. Someday. But sadly not this trip.

As I aproached, taking pictures I saw something familiar in my camera lens. I thought I was seeing things but no I was right.
I saw Memom and Brooklyn. MeMom was taking pictures of Brooklyn of course. I thought about taking a picture of them taking pictures. Considering I had not officially met them yet I stopped myself from being the paparazzi.

I did go up and introduce myself. We chatted for a moment and agreed to meet inside right after the show.

I finally made it. it only took me about 8 minutes to walk up Main street.

I have legitimate reasons for loving an empty pool.
Empty pool in the morning, Everything is already clean and ready for action. Empty pool in the evening- the day is gone and now we need to clean.
Of course some days an empty pool means an empty pool.

If our school system continues with their current October schedule we may do a quick trip to WDW for Halloween one of these days. This year Hannah has early dismissal on the 28th and no school on the 29th, November 1st and November 2nd. Of course by the time we do it she probably won't be in elementary school anymore so the early dismissal will have to be my own doing! LOL

I think they should always have some kind of day off on the 1st, even if the teachers have to go for an in-service. Teachers should not be subjected to the horrors of students and their candy, gooey rubber eyeballs, bloody tattoos, etc. the day after Halloween.

I would love it if it would coincide with my conference next year. My son wants to go to the Trade Show part but I will not take him unless he is off from school. He actually wants to do that more than another Disney Trip.

I'm not sure why it's early dismissal on the 27th but the 28th and 1st are workdays and the 2nd is election day. Report cards come out on the 8th and then they're off for the 11th (Veteran's Day). So, from the end of October up until we leave the girls are going to have a lot of short weeks.

The kids definitely need some time to come off the sugar high!
