The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

Reminded me of Jordan in that one store trying to get the Peep picture! :rotfl2:

I am so sure he was more subtle than I was. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

At least he was walking around the store, and not running through World Showcase. :rotfl2:

I love the Donald Duck pictures! They are completely adorable! The "ole!" one is my favorite along with the booty bump! :rotfl:

And what was up with that craZy outfit! Oh, the things you see at WDW. Love it!

The dog on the Harley story is hilarious! :rotfl2: It reminds me that I was once reading a "things you see on the NYC subway" on a message board and someone posted that they saw a GIANT dude board the train with a baby carrier strapped to his chest - okay, not weird so far. Then he took the hood off the "baby" and it was a tiny chihuahua with a pink bonnet on! :lmao:

She had a lot of fun with Donald. Somehow he became her favorite and it became all about Donald.

Another moment I could not let go without photgraphic evidence. No pictures= it didn't happen right???

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Maybe it was the same guy. I think the funniest part was the expression of the dog on the back in her jacket just loving the ride. Tongue out and a huge grin.

Yes the NYC subway and Penn station was another place I loved to people watch.

After chasing down the Duck with the wheel chair we arrived at the EPCOT tree. There was a PP so of course we stop for a picture and end up with a little magic.

Traditional

Now I ask for something different. A little magic.
He thinks for a second and then says he has something. He asks who had a little attitude. A and I both yell out B right away. She doesn’t but she can turn it on if she has to .
Look what happens.

We did this to it.

Now our princess

That was so much fun and we laughed so hard when we saw the finished product.

We continue on and head over to explore Canada some more. I really think we might have been killing time until the Soarin’ FP window opened. It was crowded that day. Some of the garland in Canada.

We finish up about 4:30, do not see the movie. We are hitting the wall, we know it. We hit Soarin’ and go back to CSR.

What did A and B think of Soarin’?

They thought it was neat but the standby wait time when we rolled in with our FP was 240 minutes!!!!!!! We all agreed there is NO WAY we would EVER be in that line!!! What was incredible is that people were still getting in line!
We head back to the room exhausted and cold. The temperature was dropping all day since the little bit of rain came through.

We all took warm showers and took naps.

I must have woken up about 8 or so. B and A were still asleep. I waited and they both sort of woke up but were still so tired. Feet hurting and unable to move they chose to go back to sleep.

The problem was I was wide awake. I could hear the park calling. I could not sleep anymore right now.

So I ask the question. I ask if they would mind if I went out. This way they could get some real sleep and I won’t be restless in the room keeping them up.

I offered to go them some food from Pepper Market but they declined.

How did they react?

They were okay with me leaving them. They encouraged me to go and apologized for not being able to keep up. :rotfl2:. I joked that I broke them, they joked back that they were just dented but not defeated.

Now where do I go and what do I see?

those are some FABULOUS PP pictures! I love the Ole ones with Donald the best.

Gotta love a running Duck!

What a funny funny story.

Good for you for going out....I can't wait to read about your solo adventure.

Ah...the things people will put on their dogs....

Those are adorable PP pictures! What a good move asking for some magic! I might have to do that. :thumbsup2

We too were amazed at the crazy long lines and people STILL getting in them. We waited up to 60 minutes, but never any more. 240 for ONE ride is nuts!

Solo time!

I enjoy having some alone time to just walk around at my own pace and take as many pictures of unusual things as I want to without feeling like I am slowing anybody else down.

I'm ready to see where you went and what you photo-captured. :)

I've never seen that "wings" picture before either...that looks hilarious.

Wow, I can't believe anyone would get in a line with that kind of wait time. Not me!

You broke them and were ready for more. Very impressive.

i have just started seeing hte wings pics other places, but have never seen the mickey and minnie sitting on the wall, those were great ones.

your run sounded like myrun to get back with the popcorn before the illuminations started.
:thumbsup2

I love the pictures with Donald!

I can't believe you chased that poor guy halfway around the park.

Good question! My theory is they do -- otherwise, you can tell in the rest of their body language if they're just "mailing it in".

The event includes a visit and picture from the Easter bunny. So we always have to see who gets to be the Easter bunny's "friend".
So one year the comment came up that every time pictures wer being taken the "inside" of the bunny was smiling for the picture even though she knew it did not matter. :lmao:

I am positive though that behind the mask after the pose is ready some will make a face know it will never be seen, just to amuse themselves. :rotfl2:
i can tell you that i have had to wear a costume for certain events, and yes when taking pictures you find yourself smiling for the camera.

even when you think about it, and stand there and dont smile you still end up smiling because you think how funny it is.

What a funny funny story.

We had lots of great PP photographers. We had a couple that could have been better- like in front of EPCOT. :rotfl2: I learned not to be shy and just ask for special photos.
Running Duck was a unique experience.:rotfl2:

Good for you for going out....I can't wait to read about your solo adventure.

Ah...the things people will put on their dogs....

I was afraid if I stayed I would be that roommate that bothered the heck out of them so it was best if I went out. I have been know to burn the candle at both ends while at Disney.:rolleyes1

Yes!!! It never hurts to ask. I tried to get a sense if the photographer was in the mood to be creative when we walked up. I never asked if there was a long line.

We too were amazed at the crazy long lines and people STILL getting in them. We waited up to 60 minutes, but never any more. 240 for ONE ride is nuts!

I don't know why I did not get a picture of the 240. Too tired and cold I think. I could not believe people were still getting in line!!!!
I think Jill took one of a long wait.

Solo time!

Yup and I get to do a never done!

I put on the heavy coat and went for it.

I may actually get that up tonight since I have time.

I've never seen that "wings" picture before either...that looks hilarious.

It was a new one for me. Now if I can figure out a way to trick the boys in the family :scratchin:

Wow, I can't believe anyone would get in a line with that kind of wait time. Not me!
Not me either. 4 hours in line!!!! People that were getting in line when we hit the FP line would close the park in that line. :sad2:

You broke them and were ready for more. Very impressive.

I have a tendency to go commando at times. :rolleyes1 if you haven't noticed. I think it is the adrenalin rush.

i have just started seeing hte wings pics other places, but have never seen the mickey and minnie sitting on the wall, those were great ones.

All of those were new to me and made me glad I asked. Ask for them next time if you are getting the CD.

your run sounded like myrun to get back with the popcorn before the illuminations started.
:thumbsup2

Trying to keep popcorm from spilling and trying to keep steady to take a picture. I was exhausted from laughing at myself and the run.

I am trying to do the 5K in October so I hope I can catch him and not be out of breath next time. :lmao:

i can tell you that i have had to wear a costume for certain events, and yes when taking pictures you find yourself smiling for the camera.

Isn't it funny when you think about it? Our bunny was worried and said she almost shouted out when she wasn't ready as we were taking the picture. :rotfl2: Of course we would "shoot" when the kid was finally settled and smiling, the bunny always was ready on the outside.

I had my nap and was ready to go out. I cleared it with my friends since they were worn out and I figure I was just going to be keeping them awake.
I head out and catch the bus. To where?

By 9:15 I was looking at this.

DHSTree10110.jpg

DHS was open until 10 and I wanted to be sure to see the lights.
This guy was beginning to be my time stamp of when I enter DHS.

I stop for EVERY available Photopass I can find. Hey, it is prepaid and what else do I have to do. Maybe one will come out nice.

Image0237.jpg

I am getting creative.

Image0244.jpg

Notice the addition of pants, heavy coat in addition to sweatshirt and gloves. It was chilly. I did not care. I felt great. I had a nap and I was on a mission.

I get to the end of Hollywood Blvd I see these guys set up on their own stage. I am glad they put the stage up permanently.

DHSMulchsweatandshears10110.jpg

Remember I am on a mission. I head down Hollywood Blvd, hang a left down Commissary Lane.

I get to the Sci- Fi diner, I get a peak of IT. I get a little closer. I gasp.
The CM near the DVC booth says “ You made it, you’re here.”

YES I WAS.
I turn the corner and …

DHSOFDL210110.jpg

WOW . I have seen them in other’s reports. They are so right when everyone says pictures do not do them justice. Especially my blurry ones. :rotfl2:

Once the lights danced for the last time, and all the photopass people were packing up, I waited.
CM’s were singing and dancing in the street. The streets were thinning out as everyone left for the night.

BEST TIP EVER - STAY UNTIL CLOSING AND JUST WAIT. The crowds go away and you almost have the whole street to yourself.

I stayed until 10:15pm.

But it was still early by Disney standards for me at least. I know we had one more full day and it was decided we would go to MK SAT. I might not get to see the resorts. I had another mission.

To the EPCOT resorts.
I took the bus over and got off at the YC.

I was in search of gingerbread so I watched the trains for a bit, took lots of bad pictures and then moved next door.

I searched for probably 15 minutes or so and found 13. I was determined to find the other 2 but alas, I was tired too.

I finally exited the BW.

BWwreath10110.jpg

How would I get back to CSR. DHS was closed but EPCOT was not. It was open until midnight so I had to be sure to get in before midnight or my coach would turn into a pumpkin, or at least my hope of catching the bus on the other side of EPCOT will fade away if I can’t get in to walk through.
I snap these to remind me how I got ”home”.

The girls were still asleep somewhat when I can in about 12:30. They were so tired they never even got anything to eat that night. I called it night and fell asleep pretty easily.

What would tomorrow bring? Would A and B be able to forge ahead or would our plans be scaled back due to aching feet?
