The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

Nice update and now I'm really disappointed I didn't visit some of the other less talked about resorts to check out the decorations. CSR is very well done and you got some great pics!

Since you were recently at AK on your trip, I'm guessing you were heading out to Epcot since those two seem to be the better choices after a big holiday celebration the night before. Those were the two I was choosing between for NYD, but I opted for AK since we hadn't been there yet, and it was close enough we didn't have to hurry out the next morning to get there after a late night...... (sans champagne)! Obviously the look in your pictures from Poly beach wore off quickly......... :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I would love to see the NYE fireworks. That would be a perfect way for a new year to start.

enjoyed the lobby pics, i loved staying there when we went in december...it is not over the top decorated, but classy decorated.

i really enjoyed it.

thanks
:thumbsup2

It is one beautiful tree. Takes a classy guy to recognize a classy tree. :goodvibesNot that I am sucking up ar anything.

Wow Marv there might be something to this Carolina connection.

It was a fun trip. The energy at the Poly was so festive. Everyone was having a good time and be nice about it.

I am easily say for New Years Eve and being out in public a crowded place at that, I felt very safe and able to have fun without looking over my shoulder for trouble.

Yes, there was an excitement in the air. Being in a special place on a special night was very, um.....special! :goodvibes

::yes:: Pretty.

Which park?

As Bella would say, and does just about every time we ask her something,
"I nunno." :upsidedow

Big meet on the Poly beach for this year. :thumbsup2

Oh yeah, there is!!! :jumping1:

Holiday Wishes did go on that night because I very much remember watching them from a hammock on the Poly beach. :cloud9: And yes! now you know better and you better intrude! We DID book at room at AKL for over NYE this year...I have no idea if it will work out, but at least we have a room if it does. I hope it does, I want to see those fireworks in person again!!!!

Wow, LOVE CSR's decorations! Beautiful!!!!!

Well, after saying I was on pins and needles, it has taken me like 3 days to actually respond. l LOVE your before and after pictures! How fun to compare the glee of before lots of explosions and after. Of course, I know that's not what your point was, but hey, the fire had to have had something to do with it, right? :lmao:

I'm not sure I really want to ASK which bushes you were all traipsing through!
(Did you take lessons from Rosie?)

I'm sad for you that it didn't work out to go to DHS. THat would have been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fun!!! But I do knwo about the sleepies settling in.

We must have been inside exploring the resort and did not notice them. :confused3 I honestly did not even think about it then because I was focused on the midnight fireworks. That and EWP.

I hope it works out for both of us. I have not booked or even done more that think of dates. I think I better get a move on and book soemthing, probably at POP because I want to hear the Christmas POP music and go from there.

No worries. I did not log on last night I will probably spend all my time just catching up.
it was soooo much fun. I have said it before but being with a group or alone I feel so safe at Disney, that NYE I could go out ( I never go out at home) and have a drink or bottle  and know I will be OK making it back to the room, even if I have to walk around and through things. :rolleyes1

It was safe to say we were going from the bus stop to the TTC. Not sure about bushes but parking lots and some areas that may or may not have exactly been backstage do come to mind. :rolleyes1

I was a bit bummed too but after standing at the bus stop and then seeing crowds it was probably for the best.

Believe it or not we were going back to EPCOT for the third time! When I started planning this trip I asked how they wanted to do things. With 4 full days and 2 partial days during the busiest time of year, I knew we could not see it all. Heck , I haven’t seen it all during the value season in 9 days. :rotfl2:

We could either do a little at all the parks or really do most of a couple of parks. We discussed and I got them hopper passes so we could take advantage of evening EMH. I figured they would really like EPCOT and AK and we could pop into MK (for decorations and the castle lights) and if there was time DHS( but really wanted to at least pop in to see Osbourne lights).

Tuesday night, arrival night, we hit what we could when we arrived. We were able to ride some of Future World and Norway and Mexico. Wednesday when we went to see the storytellers, we only added the movie in France and AA.

Today was to finish up EPCOT with the E ticket rides for the most part. We would see how we feel since we were out late and hopefully we could get back to the room by mid afternoon and then take a nap and go back out. I keep saying that but would we actually do it?

We hop on the bus and walk the long walk to the bag check and entrance. Since I do not have contraband in my bag this time I had nothing to worry about … except this guy

I spy this guy in front of me and it appears he has this mini backpack on. The flap on the top is up and I see something strange. I get a little closer, I get the camera out. I was right, there is something strange. I begin to snap pictures. Meanwhile A and B are wondering what in the heck am I doing.

See for yourself

Do you see the face in the inside of the top of the backpack???
Here it is a little closer

I first thought it might be a “flat”. It vaguely looked like a woman they were with but still :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
This is how our day started. And yes it got better. :lmao:

Pat, that is truly frightening! Like something out of a a Grade B slasher flick!! :scared1::scared1: You have GOT to tell the story on this one!

I don't respond much on most TR's since I start to fall asleep before I can.
I do have to say though....reading your TR always has me cracking up! You find the funniest things to take pictures of and share. :rotfl:
I don't know what it is about going to WDW but you (meaning us not just you) just become brave and don't care what others are thinking when you take pictures of things you wouldn't normally take pictures of e.g., taking pics of a man in white capris and black dress shoes with dress socks. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Also...Your a machine woman! I can't believe how quickly you post!! When I get on the dis I look forward to another one of your posts. :goodvibes

Another reason to go back for the holidays.:thumbsup2
Oh goodie, cause I really needed one!!! :rolleyes1
Wow Marv there might be something to this Carolina connection.
Yes, we'll go with that! I think you have said something about using TGM, so I know it couldn't have anything to do with that...... ;)

And that picture of the guy with the backpack as you're heading into Epcot..... :scared1:

The face in the backpack is a bit odd....! What in the world was it??? It must have been flat?! :confused3 It's a strange lookin' one though!:rotfl:
