Hello Fellow DISers

Dates: Family: Wed, Sept 26th through Sun, Sept 30th
Solo Trip: Sun, Sept 30th through Fri, Oct 5th

Join us for our family shenanigans through the wild streets of Lake Buena Vista. Then they will be leaving me and I'll be strolling on the Boardwalk and have the world at my feet!

I have been spending a lot of time on the DIS this past year getting ready for my solo Disney trip this Sept. I wasn't going to start a pre-trip report, but since I am now [uh-hum] unemployed I figured why not? But I want this to be a get to know me report so on with the biography.

Me, 27: I have been a Disney person for as long as I can remember. I just happened upon the DIS before our trip in Dec 05 and I have now used it to plan 3 successful trips. I love the DIS community and am very grateful that I found everyone. This is me.

I am between careers :scared1: I am going into the vast unknown as a teacher and a substitute teacher no less. But I am leaving my job as a front desk supervisor which I think is wonderful. I got my B.S. degree in Hospitality Mgmt and thought hotels would be my life forever then I volunteered at my niece's preschool and caught the teaching bug.

I am the proud mother of

I have always wondered about people on the DIS when I read their trip reports and I'm noisy. I'm sure I'm the only one who wants to know what everyone looks like and where they live. I live in a quiet suburb outside DFW airport in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. I still live with my parents for now until I get my career going. Unfortunately the hotel industry has not been the most lucrative job and I'm poor. A lot of my dinero goes toward Disney of course. And my car. Need to have a mode of transportation here in Dallas.

Here is my home sweet home.

Come and knock of my door. We've been waiting for you. Where the kisses are hers and hers and his. Three's Company too!

Yeah I spontaneously break out into TV theme songs.

Okay let's get into the actual Disney trip info.

I decided I wanted to go back to Disney in Sept for a solo trip and the Food & Wine/MNSSHP. I went to Disneyland in Feb solo and loved it. Solo Disney trips offer so much freedom and flexibility. It allows me to be truly selfish and enjoy Disney my way. Whenever I go with the family, I am at their mercy on where we go and how long we stay.

I posted a thread on the DVC Rent board and got a studio at Boardwalk for 5 nights from Sun., Sept 30th through Fri., Oct 5th. Sun-Thurs nights are less expensive points wise. I paid the 1st half down and made ADRs.

Now will I truly go solo or will my family join me? To be continued...

Here's my schedule as it stands now.

Sun, Sept 30th: Fly to Orlando; Check in at BWV; MNSSHP

Mon, Oct 1st: Morning at Epcot & Lunch at LeCellier; Afternoon at a water park

Tues, Oct 2nd: Animal Kingdom day and Dinner at Boma

Wed, Oct 3rd: Around the world on a Segway tour then hop to MK for lunch at LTT. Dinner at Kona

Thurs, Oct 4th: MGM day and lunch at Hollywood Brown Derby

Fri, Oct 5th: Keys to the Kingdom tour and Grand Floridian Tea

At this point, if my family decides they want to come then I switch my arrival date to Wed, Sept 26th and we'll stay at Wilderness Lodge. My Dsis, 30, is unsure if she can come due to work and my parents probably won't come if she can't.

Here is my Dsis and I.

My sister and mom are my best friends. And my 2 nieces, ages 4 and 1 are my heart.

Here is Lauren, 4. I have looked after since she was 2 mths old. She first went to Disney when she 9 mths old and has been back twice. I love her more than life itself. She's precicous, but loveable.

Addison is our sweetheart as well. She just turned 1. She went on her first disney trip when she less than 2 months old. Surprisingly she didn't get a lot of that trip. Hopefully (if they go this time) we can see how she enjoys meeting characters and Dumbo.

I'm very proud of my 2 girls and those that know me hear about them constantly.

Here is the whole gang who would be going.

Addison, my dad, my mom, sis, me, and Lauren

I will keep everyone posted.

Anyone else suffering from this extreme heat! Here in Dallas, we went through a period of heavy rain (it poured everyday!) now we're having our norm 100+ days. I'm begging for some rain now.

I am a loyal listener of the DIS Unplugged and card carrying member of the Pod Squad. Everyone must get over to the DIS Unplugged forum and meet the roundtable gang.

Back to Disney...I am very excited to be trying the dining plan before it changes and becomes too expensive for me. In the early days of our Disney trips with my cheapsake father, we never ate inside the parks except for CS lunches. And we never stayed onsite. But I like to live it up now. The past 2 trips I have managed to have our family dine at the following: Beaches & Cream, Whispering Canyon lunch, CRT breakfast, Chef Mickey's bfast, LTT dinner, 1900 Park Fare dinner and 50s Primetime Cafe. I consider it to be a huge accomplishment to get my Dad to eat table service at Disney.

Talk to everyone later!

Update: My Dsis has not worked up on the courage to ask her boss for the weekend of our Disney trip. It's only a month away and I am beginning to think it's getting a little late. My parents and Dsis haven't bought their plane tickets yet. My family were planning on being there Wed, Sept 26th through Sun, Sept 30th. We were going to a Disney waterpark (something we've never done), breakfast at Crystal Palace and lunch with princess in Norway. I'm keeping my fingers crossed because I would love to take my nieces to Disney.

Job update: I am going into teaching this year and have been going to a few ISD's orientations this week. I am looking forward to the start of the school year. Only time in my life I'm looking forward to school starting. I am also helping out at Sunday school at our church this Sunday.

Everyone have a good evening!

I mentioned that I wanted rain and voila here it is.

Ringling Bros is in town and we're taking my nieces tomorrow. Wish me luck since Lauren is scared of loud noises (i.e. Fireworks). I am trying to memorize lyrics to a few songs to sing to my niece. My dad and I will harmonize and sing songs from "3 Amigos" like "My Little Buttercup" and "Blue Shadows".

Wow the trip report forum is like a tough crowd at a comedy club. I don't mind having this thread to myself, but eventually I hope someone reads it.

My Dsis did call tonight and seems pretty confident that she will be able to get off for the family portion of the Disney trip. I am thrilled! <insert dancing banana here>

Circus today was a not a success. Lauren was scared silly due to the loud noises. They had it too loud even for me. I met another family who had bought their children ear plugs at Walmart so I will have to check that out for Disney.

Has anyone seen Bourne Ultimatum yet? The whole Bourne series are the best action movies IMHO. Love Matt Damon.
