The Saga of our Disney Dream home - It's about time!

I was going to ask about the evil foreshadowing but you beat me to it. Glad that plan B was waiting. Hoping everything goes through and no drowning of sorrows is necessary.

That is the exact meal I have planned out for Cafe Orleans, well the cheese one that is. I went through all the restaurants and made notes of places I'd like to get to, I won't get to them all but I'm going to try popcorn::

Thank goodness for Superman! He always swoops in and saves the day. ;)

Enjoy the day with Ellen...she is a hoot!

I am so pleased you had Clark Kent in your back pocket! This other guy ... Has he considered a career in writing scrips in Hollywood? Lol. A work of fiction that loan application. And As Alison and Fran leave the building to move into their dream home the renters enter the back door having paid 3 months rent in advance saying oh don't worry we will fix what needs doing ourselves we plan on cooking meth here anyway....( that's the season finale episode of 'The Longbeach house with yellow patio furniture ' )

I will keep everything crossed for you tomorrow.

Re the food porn looks yum. I am a big turkey fan so I love the sound of the turkey sandwich. It would not last long in my hands. Gobble gobble toil and trouble.

Hope it all works out for you and doesn't go :sad:at the last minute. The house is so gorgeous!

Thanks! Me too! :goodvibes and :welcome:

Great work, Alison.

Nice to have Plan B sitting in the wings. :thumbsup2

Enjoy the DisMeet.

I hope Plan B pans out! :thumbsup2

Given your dietary requirements, this is one of the choices that you should definitely try to make, it's one of our favorite restaurants in DL. The other one is Plaza Inn, but we like their fried chicken and cobb salad, neither of which you eat. Not sure what they have for pescetarians there.

Hooray for him! What is tomorrow? Is it closing already?!?!

No, it's not closing, but its the 10 day after offer day where something runs out, and the seller can make our offer void. She is in Finland, or something like that so hopefully this other loan guy will come through and it will appear seamless. I'm sort of sitting here calmly at my computer having coffee and breakfast and freaking out underneath my skin.

So glad Plan B was waiting in the wings! :woohoo:

I just hope that we moved on plan B soon enough.

Fingers crossed!! Hope it all works out. Keep us updated!

Thanks! I sure will!

We're getting together for the evening. Now I have to go move boxes so the contractor can fix plumbing. :crazy2:

Lol

There is a joke in Europe that Finns mmmm like their drink.

How many Finns does it take to change a lightbulb?
None. Once a Finn has noticed it's made of glass and has the shape of a bottle he will attempt to open it....

Of course this isn't true and any resemblance to any known person living or dead is purely coincidental... I wave all my rights and abdicate all responsibility... In fact I don't even know who this Paula Sedley-Burke gal is...

I didn't write in the Plaza Inn for anything. This is what I have so far, still need to look at the resorts and DTD  I wanted to have some kind of list so I didn't have to look at all the menus again.

Omg French toast & caramel sauce. Where is this Flo's V-8 cafe you earthlings speak of? I will have to park my spacecraft behind SM where it will go unnoticed and find this fine eatery. Yum yum bubble gum. Flo's V-8 here I come.

I know, that sounds delicious! popcorn:: I'll be taking pictures of everything.

Funny you should ask about that Monte Cristo Taste Test!

We started off with the Pomme Frites. We were starving and were pretty much in the last seating of the night.

We got both the cheese Monte Cristo and the regular.

Personally I really preferred the Ham/Turkey version over the cheese. There was a sort of 'funny' flavor in the cheese one as if perhaps they had left the rind on one of the cheeses. I ate half of a cheese chunk and a whole regular one and was stuffed! We took the rest home and Fran had a chunk of each for her second dinner tonight (as we call our midnight snack after band rehearsal), she clearly liked both.

If we get this house, I will surely prefer the open kitchen style and never want to go back to a separate kitchen again!

I am glad that you finally managed to do your taste test. I love the look of those Pommes Frites. Maybe I have to go back at some stage for Gumbo and Pommes Frites. When I ate at Cafe Orleans, I had the cheese version and loved it.

I hope that Superman has managed to sort everything out. I can't believe that they did not tell you what the strings that are attached to the loan are. I hope that no news is good news.

Corinna
