The Royal Princess Promenade at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

You guys!! I'm kind of dying over the cuteness of this new little 'shindig' that's going on daily at 3:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Grand Floridian!

Miss Rose Petal, who is actually the hostess of the Perfectly Princess Tea in the Garden View Tea Room; introduces Cinderella and Prince Charming who come down the Grand Staircase and dance in the lobby! With tiny Princes and Princesses! Talk about a serious slice of magic!

Yes, I brought my daughter to this. It was so fun. They gather the children together with Cinderella and the prince and the Memory Maker folks take pictures, then you walk with Cinderella down the stairs for a little dancing and live music. I saw one little girl literally tackle Cinderella and give her a big hug around her legs. Adorable! My DD loved it!

It's not something that is listed anywhere, but just one of those things that someone just happened to see out of the blue one day. I love these kinds of random magic, but as of now, all we know is that it's happening daily. Of course, their entertainment is always subject to change without notice. I sure hope they're still doing it when it's time for your trip!

We are planning (well, hoping) to do this before our 4:25 1900 Park Fare reservation in a couple weeks! DD will love this so much.

This sounds cynical, but I like doing these special events while they are still (a) small-ish and (b) free or cheap. (See also: paying $26 pp for a Wishes dessert party in 2010.)

I don't think that sounds cynical at all! These are the kinds of surprise things that are just so magical! There's something about watching little girls twirl with a Prince because they're so excited and little boys blushing because a Princess called him a Prince! Surprise magic like this reminds me of why I love Disneyland so much. I really hope they keep this kind of thing up!

This is adorable, thanks for sharing! I hope it's still going on in September as my sister and I will be there with our 4 yo niece and she would love this .

Please, don't get suckered in on some ridiculous parade for princesses do't you know the decline of all the deluxes , the club service is disgraceful for the high prices guests pay; Grand Floridian use to be grand, not anymore.they have a nerve to implement resort fees for lousy service,protest and stay off site maybe, the will get the message!!!!!

...anyone can attend the promenade; you don't need to stay at Grand Floridian. We'll be saving money at Pop and going over to GF for the promenade and dinner.

There are no resort fees as of yet at Disney resorts.

I will have to agree that my stays at the GF were different. First time in 1993, the service was incredible. Later on, it was just okay. Still it is a lovely hotel.

This is a perfect idea! I was trying to figure out how to make this work after pedicures at Senses one afternoon, but we have a 4:00 Park Fare dinner ADR close to the end of our trip that would require a lot less rushing around to fit this in!

Well, to each their own, but I was at the Grand Floridian over the weekend and saw this Royal Princess Promenade myself. It's about the cutest thing and the 'Promenade' mainly consists of a parade of children having a great time dancing with Cinderella, Prince Charming, and Miss Rose Petal. The entire thing only lasted maybe 10 minutes total (at the VERY most) and is really cute to watch. Disney doesn't have to do these special things, but they do and that's what makes them more special than the Holiday Inn offsite.

Obviously people aren't staying at the Grand simply for this experience, but it certainly was sweet and worth the watch for us!
