The Rinaldi's are back! For a magical winter getaway to WDW, Jan '12-*UPDATED 2/7*

~Day 4~
Part 5: Cape May dinner!

Okay, sorry for the lack of pictures in this update, because we were nearing the end of the night and this will be very short.

So, when I left off, we were getting dressed, and then headed down for our ADR at Cape May for 5:15. It felt soo weird going, because ususally whenever I go there it's when I have a lot of family members there, so this was a little different. The place had literally JUST opened, and I'm pretty sure they seated us earlier than our reservation actually was. The food was REALLY good tonight. I really don't like seafood, so I eat all the other foods and they were yuuuummmyy. Mom and Grace love the crab legs though, and they thought they were amazing. I thought the food was overall REALLY good this time.

Lol, but I did have a bit of a drink fiasco. Because, I originally hadn't wanted to get a chocolate milk, idk why. So, I asked for iced water and it was GROSS! Mom even tried it and thought it tasted bad too. It was the Florida water taste, ya know? Ugh. So...I asked for lemonade. Little did I know that she would bring out this wacky pomegranite stuff! And I am a pretty picky drinker you could say, because NO WAY was I drinking that. So, after asking our waitress for the THIRD time...I felt pretty bad...I ended up getting a chocolate milk! I should have asked for it in the first place!

After eating that great meal we were SO full (gotta love buffets, rite?), and we headed back up to the room. We really wanted to go in the hot tubs again, so we got in our bathing suits and hopped in the hot tubs. It was pretty cold out so it was GREAT being in that warm water! :goodvibes

After about 20 minutes(you can only be in a hot tub for SO long) we went back up, showered, and packed.:sad2: I HATE packing, because then I feel SO sad! No way do I want to leave Disney! AND more importantly, NO WAY do I want to go to school the day after!

After that, we had to decide what to do.

AND GUESS WHAT!???

I chose to do something I've never done before!

......I didn't want to go to nightime show, I just wanted to hang out here! This was a first!! Usually I hate staying at the hotel at night, and I nag everyone. My family was SOOO proud of me!:thumbsup2

Instead, Grace had seen some DVC members picking out Dvds to watch down in the gift shop, so we thought, why not do that? Dad, Me, and Grace went down. The lady was very nice and let us look through this HUGE booklet. I originally wanted Tarzan, but that was missing. So we finally agreed on Mary Poppins, signed it out, and headed back up.

It turns out our DVD player was broken!! UGGHH! So, we couldn't watch the stinking movie! But, luckily me and Grace had forgotten Pretty Little Liars was starting, so we were able to watch that!

At 9, I remembered that Illuminations was on, so I hrried onto the balcony to see it. And WOW, we had an AMAZING view...pretty much perfect...of the fireworks! AND I could hear the music perfectly! So I watched that, and once that was over, went back into the room.

We were sooo tired, and we soon were all fast asleep after our LAST night at Disney!:guilty:

~Day 5~
Part 1: It's the last day! Quaharini!

P1010158.jpg

Lol, so today WAS our last day! I know, very depressing! I try not to dwell on the fact that I am leaving Disney during the day because it makes me vey sad. But right when I'm getting on the magical express is when I REALLY want to cry!

Sooo, as I was saying, today we had decided to go to-if you hadn't realized by the title-Animal Kingdom! We stilll had some unfinished business to do there! And if anyone remembers, "Quaharini" is what they say on Kilimanjaro safaris before you leave! Don't quite remember what it means though!

We woke up that morning around 7:30ish. Dad got up and got us coffees, and as we got dressed we did some last minute packing. We did a quick swoop around the room to be sure we didn't miss anything, and sadly rolled our suitcases with us out of the room. Bye, BC room!

We rolled them down to the outside place and gave them to them and Dad and Grace's carryon bags. Although, before we headed to AK we had one more unfinished business to do! We had to give back our Mary Poppinbs dvd we NEVER got to watch! The woman was quite distraught when she heard we weren't able to see it!

Then, we were finally heading down to the bus stop, one was waiting right there, and we got on and were on out way to AK.

We got to AK, and I just HAD to get a picture in front of this sign! I hadn't gotten a chance to get one the first day.

P1010596.jpg

We were there for park opening at 9, and went straight to EE. It annoyed me to see when we got in line that they let an ENTIRE HUGE tour group cut in front of everyone who had been waiting. The line was EXTREMELY quick though!

I LOVE all the theming in the line!

P1010597.jpg

Mom and me waiting in line! Yes I know I look SO bad!

P1010598.jpg

We were seated in the very back, ehh...I would of rathered the front, but oh well. The ride was great! Afterwards, we noticed the line was almost nonexistant, so we hopped in line again! This time me and Grace asked for front seat and were put RIGHT there! WOW! It was awesome, and I was soooo happy we got front seat, which is ultimately the best! And then...we went AGAIN! After 3 times, Grace and Mom wanted to go on a 4th because there was literally no one here and there were trains half empty! Nice! I wanted to get a pic of them coming down the hill, so I opted out on the 4th time.

I waited over here:

P1010599.jpg

I noticed alot of trains coming down where there were a couple people in the front rows and some in the back...but the middle completely empty!

I waited and waited but FINALLY I got them FRONT seat coming down! Yay!

P1010601.jpg
[/CENTER

As we came back down from Asia after, Grace wanted to stop and get her beloved chai tea AGAIN!

We saw this cool tram thing that was by the stand that DEFINETELY wasn't there a couple days ago when we stopped here!

P1010604.jpg

We walked back up to Africa, but not without stopping to get a few pictures along the way! Here are a few of us:

P1010605.jpg

P1010606.jpg

Lol, WHY must Mom RUIN perfect pictures like this with her eyes closing! WHY!??

So, anyways, we were on a mission and we were on our way through a NON-crowded AK! YAY!:goodvibes

~Day 5~
Part 2: Meeting Baloo and much more!

Okay, so when I left off, we were on our way from Asia to Africa to ride the Safari one last time!

Although along the way, we saw a path leading with a bridge to a character who just happened to be Baloo! There was NO ONE there! Since we weren't in any rush, we walked up there, and you could tell Baloo and the photopass guy and handler were VERY excited to finally see someone! No one else really wanted a picture yet so I hopped in.

P1010607.jpg

Then my decided to join in!

P1010608.jpg

Finally the handler told me to give him my camera so we could all get in for the picture, and we had to persuade Grace to come over too!

P1010609.jpg

This was the pretty waterfall that you saw along the way on the way to see Baloo:

P1010610.jpg

After meeting Baloo we were finally in Africa, and I noticed just how great the weather had become! It was SO nice and hot! And smart Lauren had decided to wear sweatpants WITH shorts on underneath. Sooo I just took off my pants and threw them in my bag! I bet evryone in my family wished they had done that too!

Dad stopped for a little bathroom break, so I got mom and Grace together for a little picture in front of them. I just think this Africa area is SO pretty!

P1010612.jpg

Oh, and if any of you are wondering where Mom got that totally awesome shirt...she had just bought it at the Art of Disney store at MK. Isn't it sooo cool! I actually wish I had gotten it my self....:rolleyes1

Lol, here's me with my SMART choice of clothing!:thumbsup2

P1010613.jpg

A cool looking tree that dad seemed to want me to take a picture of...

P1010615.jpg

We were just about to get on the Safari and the sign ONLY said 10 minutes! WOW this park was NOT crowded today!...when Grace discovered a little stand right by the entrance to it. It was a stand where you pick a band and if you want the lady engraves your name on it. It was actually really cool, and as far as Disney goes, quite cheap.

Here's how Graces turned out:

P1010616.jpg

Wasn't that cool? And they had SO many choices, too! Well, with that done it was finally time to head up to the safari!

~Day 5~
Part 3: A last day safari!

Okay, so when I left off we were getting in line for the Kilimanjaro Safaris FINALLY! After many stops along the way! The line was basically walk through, and there was no one there!

I quickly snapped this, because I think it's cool that the meaning behind Simba is lion...which is funny that Disney did that for the movie.

P1010617.jpg

Grace got a little crazy in line, and when I asked for a picture she decided she was going to do this!

P1010618.jpg

This time we were seated in the second to last seat, and I got the good left side this time!

Now here is when I must say that I am SO sorry. But just so you know I will now be showing numerous animal pictures, and I am sorry I will have to put you through that boringness. I know that many people would not be too keen on staring at animal pictures! I know alot of my family doesn't!

Soooo here ya go!

P1010621.jpg

P1010622.jpg

P1010626.jpg

Yes...this was how close the giraffe was to me! No zooming was involved in this picture!!

P1010633.jpg

We got off the safari, and I honestly feel like I could work as the person who drives those cars, because I literally know like ALL the facts about these animals by now! LOL!

I'm SO sorry but it seems I have forgotten to upload the rest of my pics on photobucket, so I should go do that now!

So....in the next update...what would we do next? You shall see!

Followed you over from my TR...will come back later to catch up. I am loving all of the pictures!

~Day 5~
Part 4: Planet Watching with Rafiki

Omg, I am just getting SO sad when I keep realizing that this is my last day of my TR! It's like I was so sad on my actualy trip, but this is like the FINAL thing with it!:sad2:

Well, moving along, we got off the safari and there was like this little viewing area near it, and my Dad was taken aback when he saw who was being displayed. It was a gorilla! Yes, Dad's most favorite! He practically ran over there. He was a big guy too. I didn't get a picture of him though, but I did get a picture of the beautiful waterfall in his enclosure.

P1010643.jpg

We saw him do the grossest thing too! All of a sudden he puked, and then started eating it! UGH! We all started walking away, but Mom stood there like completely engrossed! Lol, only Mom!

I was a little hungry for an afternoon snack, and so was Grace. She bought a pretzel, and I got a mickey bar. My last! I ALWAYS have to have one that last day, because I won't be having another precious one until July! How depressing!:guilty:

While we enjoyed our snacks we checked out that cute little shop in Africa. I always want to buy everything! I can't even tell you how many times I looked in shops at Disney. Well, I have to, because I save up my money from all year, and asked for only money for my bday, to spend at Disney! And spend I do!

Anyways, after we finished, we were right by Rafiki's Planet Watch. We hadn't gone there in SO long. So we though, why not? We already had seen mostly everything, so we headed there.

I love the relaxing train ride, but I also get really sad when I see the REAL animal enclosures. It's almost like the feeling I get when I see the parking lots at Disney parks and hotels. Because when I'm at Disney I'm in my own magical bubble away from the real world, where parking lots are not in it! It's like you want to believe the animals are really kept in those awesome savanna areas, but sadly no. Lol, sorry for gettng a little off topic there!

We arrived at our destination of the conservation station, and walked down the path.

Oh, there's Rafiki!

P1010644.jpg

The first lizard I saw ALL trip! I know that's very odd, because usually I see tons!

P1010645.jpg

We neared the conservation station!

P1010646.jpg

The building was not very crowded inside. Me and Grace ran over to this tiger. It wasn't the real deal, but still. We wanted a picture with it!

P1010647.jpg

There's always a CM showing off an animal and this time it was this gorgeous hawk. If my Papa was here(we went on a trip to WDW with him just that august) saw this bird he would have gone ballistic! He is a bird maniac!

P1010650.jpg

We were going to stand in line to see Rafiki but the line was pretty long, and we decided he wasn't THAT worth it. Now, if it was Pocahontas that would be a whole nother story! So, we happened to find Dad's favorite and best friend to take a picture with!

Look at that smile on his face! Disney really brings out the happiness and children in everyone!:goodvibes

P1010652.jpg

We quickly looked through the glass cases, but they weren't really all that interesting. That building in itself is something we definetely would never do everytime we go to Disney. Of course before leaving we HAD to go to the petting zoo!

And what did we find when we got in there??

PIGS!!!

They were adorable cute, little pigs! I just had to take pictures of them for my friend, because she LOVES pigs!

Pig #1:

P1010656.jpg

Pig #2(looking a bit sassy to me!):

P1010657.jpg

And lastly, Pig #3:

P1010658.jpg

I told you they were cute! We left soonafter, and as we tried to get out one of the little pigs kept trying to escape! It was hilarious because a CM kept telling people to get out quick and tried to herd the pig away!

We left, and hopped back on the train to Africa. The weather still felt beautiful and was honestly getting better and better. Ugh, I REALLY didn't want to go back now! Of course when we are there it is the coldest weekend of the whole month, and then right when we leave, OH back to the 80's! Well, I say it's the Rinaldi luck! Which is HORRIBLE!

Stay tuned, for the next update coming up!:goodvibes

hi, just caught up on your tr in one sitting! I love your pictures. We were there (in the MK) on your last 2 days and the weather was great - sorry you had cold weather on your first few days!

about hollywood studios opening early, they started doing that to help with the trouble around rope drop and everyone racing to get to TSM. We were there the Friday of the week you were there (after you) and they were still doing it. Unannounced 8:30 opening - awesome!

Thank you!:) Oh, and that makes sense, because it did definetely help with that TSM crowd all racing there.

~Day 5~
Part 5: Otters and other things....

After we got off Rafiki's Planet Watch, we wanted to go see the Festival of the Lion King at 12:30, which is my FAVORITE show in AK! It is soo awesome! We had a while until then, though, so we had to think of something to do!

Grace suddenly had a strong desire for something. Something that I would NEVER imagine MY sister to want EVER!

She...wanted a Duffy!! OMG! Now I was SO surprised because Grace NEVER buys much at Disney and she doesn't like that stuffed animal kind of stuff. Plus, this was completely out of the blue. Just a few days ago we had been Duffy haters! We headed into one of the shops, but sadly, no Duffy.

Although Mom did find a pair of Minnie ears!

P1010660.jpg

She thought she looked pretty darn good in them, but opted not to buy them. Although I can guarantee she'll probably buy them next time!

Mom and Dad wanted to look at the little animal enclosures that were down by the tree. We saw some big fish, and then Mom went completely beserk! She saw an otter. She started freaking out and getting all excited! Mom loves otters. Therefore, she stood there for quite some time leaning over the glass "talking" to it. Oh yes, my mother is QUITE the animal freak. Especially otters. In her defense, though, it was extremely cute! :goodvibes

Here I am by the glass amidst the excitement of the otter spotting.

P1010661.jpg

Sorry but I don't have an otter picture! Before we headed to Camp Minnie Mickey we looked in one more shop to see if they just might have Grace's Duffy. They did! And the lady who worked there also told us all about Duffy's story and all this other stuff. Sbe was very nice!

While Mom and Grace waited in line to buy her Duffy which was $30!! For a little stuffed bear might I add. Woah! Dad and I looked around.

Dad wanted me to take a picture of him with his "family." Yes, he sure does seem to fit in!

P1010663.jpg

It was finally time to begin heading to the Lion King show, but not before I stopped to stick my head in this! Grace refused to put her head in the other, so I looked like a loner.

P1010664.jpg

On our way we saw these two ducks that were literally attacking eachother and biting eachother. It was really scary, and I was SO afraid one was going to seriously injure the other. There was a whole crowd around them. I felt that I probably should have gone to a CM and told them or something.

Once we got down to Camp Minnie Mickey I saw Meeko there all alone....no one went near him! I of course had to! Grace still wasn't quite into the picture taking right now.

P1010666.jpg

I don't think I have ever even seen him at the parks before. By the time we got to the show the doors were already open so we could head in.

Stay tuned for the Festival of the Lion King!:goodvibes

~Day 5~
Part 6: Festival of the Lion King!

Okay, so when I left off in my TR we were entering the building to see Festival of the Lion King! Yay!:goodvibes

We were able to get a seat in the warthog section, and we only had to wait for a few minutes. Grace finally decided to pop into a picture!

P1010667.jpg

The show began right after that, and was AMAZING! I just think everything about it is cool!

I especially love the "can you feel the love tonight" part.

P1010669.jpg

The finale:

P1010672.jpg

Well after that great show it was almost time to start heading back to the BC!:sad1:

I was SO sad we were going to have to leave, because the weather was becoming so nice! We walked over to the Flame Tree Barbecue thinking we might be able to have lunch at AK but it seemed kind of crowded in there, so to make sure we would have time we just headed out of the park. We waited a few minutes, then got on the bus back to BC.

Everyone was very sad...this was our last time on a Disney bus(not counting Magical Express)!

P1010673.jpg

Stay tuned for the very LAST part of the trip!

~Day 5~
Part 7: Our final chapter in this wonderful journey!

We got off our bus and were finally back to BC. I was SO sad! I cannot even begin to describe! And sadly, this is my very last update for the trip, which is very depressing.

We were very hungry, so we went to the market at the BC for lunch. I had originally wanted a bowl of their delicious salad, but they didn't have that anymore. Therefore, Grace and I got the pepperoni flatbread pizzas, and Mom and Dad got two different sandwiches. I don't remember what kind they were, though.

We ate in the solarium on the couches and the pizza was great! Mom and Dad said their sandwiches were delicious, as well. After that, I wanted to have one last Disney dessert. So I got a chocolate danish which was fantastic, and Dad, Grace, and Mom got mickey bars.

After our late little lunch, we got our things together, and Mom and me grabbed some coffees in our Disney mugs for the bus ride to the airport. We went outside to the front and waited for the bus on the bench. Before long, at 3:15 pm the bus arrived. We sadly boarded, and were on our way! Goodbye BC, goodbye Disney!:sad1:

P1010685.jpg

P1010686.jpg

We watched the cute little video that is extremely sad and depressing, and in what seemed like no time we were at the airport. We went up the escelator and got stuck behind a HUGE group of cheerleaders! It was the longest escelator ride EVER!

We went up to the security area and it was absolute CHAOS! THe line was all mixed around and messed up. Mom said aloud that this airport security could use help from Disney, and SEVERAL people around us agreed! LOL!

After what seemed like forever, we made it through, and were on the "fake" monorail. We made it to the gate and sat down in the alrady VERY crowded area. There were tons of people there. I plopped down and began writing my TR in the notebook. Then, we were ushered on the plane and on a very bumpy ride home! I believe that was because we went through a thunderstorm.

Then we were back in New England. NO! Not in this cold weather:scared1:! Well we were finally home!

And that...ladies and gentlemen...is my Trip Report! We had a truly fantastic trip, and I would not change a thing! I loved sharing it with you all, and I hope you enjoyed being along for the ride. Now I can look forward to my July trip!

Thanks so much for all the support. PLEASE...feel free to post any comments on my TR and anything because I would LOVE to hear them from you!:goodvibes

And as dear Mickey Mouse would say: "That's all Folks!":wizard:
