THE RETURN of THE WHATLEYS MAY 21-30. Our trip is done, now time for the TR :(

the wave sounds good, and then you can just hop on the monorail to the MK after you're done eating. Did your shoes come in yet?

I think the wave is a good plan. I wanted to eat there in September, but we changed it to something else.

I haven't gotten my shoes yet. I checked the site and they shipped them yesterday and it gave the estimated delivery between the 16th and the 22nd. I wondered where in the world they shipped from if it is going to take over a week to get them. They must be walking them here so they can break 'em in for me :lmao:.

No advice here about The Wave since I've never eaten there myself. I like the idea of being able to catch the monorail after dinner, though. :thumbsup2

I would really like to eat at California Grill, but I know they don't have anything Dale or Dallas would eat. I have some VERY picky eaters :sad2:.

I made some changes to my ADRs. Since I added the night to our trip I needed another ADR. I wanted to try WCC so I looked at the menu and decided we needed a lunch ressie because they have hamburgers for lunch. I didn't want to set anything up for Sunday afternoon because I don't want to be rushed to get there. So I changed our Tony's ADR from Monday, May 24th 6:55pm to Sunday, May 23rd at 6:30pm and added WCC for Monday at 1pm. I was going to do the Wave, but Dale didn't really want to eat there .

This is how it looks now
Sunday, May 23rd
Tony's 6:30pm

Monday, May 24th
WCC 1:00pm

Tuesday, May 25th
'Ohana 5:30pm

Wednesday, May 26th
Le Cellier 7:15pm

Thursday, May 27th
Chef Mickey's 8:05pm

Friday, May 28th
Grand Floridian Cafe 5:30pm

Saturday, May 29th
Kona 7:30pm

I think these are going to be good. We have eaten at all of them except for WCC. I think it will be fun, I'm not going to tell Dallas about the ketchup so he will be surprised when they bring him all the bottles........:lmao:.

I LOVE Kona!!! can't wait to eat there in June!!! That's our first meal!! Hey guess what? I got DH's okay to look into a trip NEXT year in June for HIS family!!! Mostly his niece and her family, she has 2 kids, so I'm excited now!!! :) His family NEVER does anything together like this, so this will be a big deal!!! Lord my planning gene is going into overdrive!!!! HAHAHA

Your ADR's look great Dana! We haven't tried WCC yet but it's on our list. We are keeping the ketchup bottles a secret too! I haven't been around much but I"m desperately trying to get my school work done before the Super Bowl. :goodvibes

I love Kona too!! We've never had dinner so I hope it will be OK. I have been debating the dining plan only because Dallas will order off the kids menu and I will have to pay adult prices for him. I have been thinking of putting the money amount, of the dining plan, on a pre-paid visa and using it for food and if there is any left over use it for anything else. I think that would be just as easy and I could just renew my TiW card and use it for discounts. I guess that is what I need to do today, run some numbers.

WOOO HOOO on a trip next June too :thumbsup2. I love planning Disney trips so much I would be in planning heaven :rotfl2:. Has her kids ever been to Disney? If not you know it will be a great trip for them. There will never be a time more magical than the first visit to Disney.

I think it is going to be funny when Dallas asks for ketchup, or better yet, if Dale asks for some :rotfl2::lmao:. I know you so want to get all the papers done so you can have some time to yourself. We have our plans for the Super Bowl in place. I made homemade salsa last night, we bought chips and nacho cheese and we are going to pick up pizza at about 4:00 or 4:30. I am nervous about the game.

WHO DAT!!!

Nope, her kids have NEVER been. Not sure when the last time SHE's been!!! if we do it next june, Andrew will be 5, and Sara will be about 20 months old....i've seen her on skype, and she's precious!! I can't believe I'm a GREAT AUNT!!!! It's Chris's fault!! HAHA...but his niece is really close to him, and we haven't seen her in a few years...so this will be a treat!! Now if we can just get his dad here from Japan....the trip will be complete!!

Thanks Julia. It looks like we will be eating a lot huh?.........:lmao:

Mmmmm Disney food. You can't help but eat a lot! Everything tastes better at Disney!!

:rotfl2: That will be great! We've eaten here a few times, and I think Dale and Dallas will really like it. The all-you can eat skillet is really good.

Also, maybe you can encourage Dallas to drink his coke really fast, and ask for refills a lot. One time Elizabeth kept asking for a refill, so they brought her this cup the size of a salt shaker! On another trip with friends, the server brought out our friend's refill in a HUGE glass---the straw was probably 18 inches long! When he finished it, the server gave him a "Fastpass" for the restroom! :rotfl:

I have been debating it too Dana. I've run the numbers and I think we may come out better with the dining plan. I'll have my TIW discount for the one TS meal we will have to pay for OOP! I'd be curious to know how it works out better for you. :)

We are also trying WCC this time. Thats how we decided on the dining plan-ran the numbers and found it to be cheaper. YUM:cool1:

I AM GOING TO ADD MAY 23RD TO OUR DATES :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:. I WAS ABLE TO GET ONE OF OUR PRN NURSES TO WORK FOR ME SO WE WILL BE ABLE TO LEAVE A DAY EARLY. OUR NEW DATE WILL BE MAY 23RD-MAY 30TH. I WILL CALL DISNEY TONIGHT AND ADD THE DAY. I AM SO EXCITED............SORRY ABOUT THE SHOUTING :woohoo:

Ok since I have updated our reservation I need to update my PTR.

I asked Susan to work for me Saturday May 22nd too so hopefully she will. If not we will go get the rental car when I get home around 7:30pm. We will load the car so we can just get up and throw on some clothes and leave. I'm like Lisa in that I will have an extra bag to throw in the car with stuff we will need Sunday morning. I hope to be on the road by 5am and that will put us at CBR around 2:30pm. We always stop and grab some breakfast on the road to save time. We usually get McDonald's in Pensacola. When we get to Disney we will have to head over to one of the parks to get our tickets then check in. I want to use the one day tickets we got in September/October to renew our APs. I wondered if they would let us do that and I was told we could so that will save us some money too. After we get checked in we will likely get some lunch. Dale always likes to head to MK when we arrive so I'm not sure if we will eat at CBR or MK. I will have to make an ADR for somewhere Sunday night. I am holding out for suggestions before I make them though. I am thinking maybe The Wave. Dale should be able to find something on the menu there?

First off, congrats on adding the extra day. That's good enough news to make me wanna :cool1:.

I always pack a separate bag for our stop on our first drive day. I don't want to have to unload a lot of suitcases for that one night.

I like the looks of your ADRs. Sounds like ya'll will be eating at some great restaurants. The only one I don't like is Chef Mickey's but it's only because we had such a bad meal there on our last trip. Hopefully, your meal will be lots beterr than our's.

Oh and when you go to Whispering Canyon, make sure you ask for a room in the dining room. Don't let them seat you in the outside seating area on the far end. That's where we were seated and we didn't get to participate on some of the cool things they did.

You will have fun planning the trip for her family then. Dallas turned 14 months the first time he went and we had a good time. I think he really enjoyed it for the first time when he was about 6.

Girl I'm a great great Aunt......lol. I have 2 great great nieces. It is my nephew Roy's fault :lmao:.

That is a GREAT idea! I need to run the numbers too and see if we would come out better doing that.

I ran the numbers today and it came out close. We would save a little with the DDP. If I add the $75 and the automatic 18% we come out saving about $50 with the DDP. We tip between 15 and 20% anyway, but I like to be able to make that decision. I have been told a couple of different things as far as adding the ddp. I have heard at least 72 hours before you arrive, but the CM yesterday told me I had to add it at least 5 days out.

You are sooooooo right. The food at Disney is the best:thumbsup2

I didn't know that about the Coke that is too funny. I need a fastpass to the bathroom at times.

I did the same Michelle. It will save us about $50 using the ddp. I don't think I will renew the TiW card because we won't use it enough to justify the $75 cost.

We are also trying WCC this time. Thats how we decided on the dining plan-ran the numbers and found it to be cheaper. YUM:cool1:
Mary I am looking forward to eating at WCC. We had an ADR booked there last May, but canceled it and changed it to Sci Fi. I can't wait to start eating me some yummy Disney food.

Thanks Lisa :woohoo:. I wanted to book 7 nights just to see if we can make it..........lol.

We use to stop in Lake City and spend the night. We would stop there when Dallas was little and the 8 hour trip was too much for him, AND us.......:lmao:. I started packing the extra bag then so we wouldn't have to carry all our luggage in. The first time we went we didn't pack that extra bag and it was a mess unloading all the luggage and then reloading it the next morning.

I didn't really want to do CM either, but Dallas requested it so I booked it. We have eaten there several times, and I think it is just OK. I wanted to try something we haven't tried before, but you know how my gang is :sad2:.

Your post on WCC is what made me want to eat there. I will request the main dining room so we can be in on the fun.

You must be doing like I am......catching up on my trip reports and emails during Super Bowl commercials. I hate commercials. I don't care if they are Super Bowl commercials or not.

I think there was a couple of time my heart stopped. I liked some of the commercials, especially the Clydesdale and the bull. I am soooooooooo happy the Saints won. I can now say this was the PERFECT football year. Alabama National Champs and the Saints Super Bowl Champs. I told Dale I will have to put a Fleur DE Le on my face for every Saints game from now on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and Dallas before the game. I went in Winn Dixie and Little Caesars with my face paint and I had several people comment and say "WHO DAT?"
