Just soaking it all in... Needed a good laugh today.

So, I am one of the choir directors at the elementary school where I teach. We have a 3rd/4th grade choir, so many of the songs we sing are 'cutsie', not quite legitimate repertoire.

Yesterday, we were singing through some potential spring selections. We turned the page of the songbook and I laughed out loud when I saw the title:

"These are My Peeps"


The song is AWESOME... all about my peeps who hang out with me and make my day fun. (Of course, it's referencing the Easter candy treat, but who cares.. I wasn't even thinking of those!)

I'm going to bring my camera to the next rehearsal and get a video of it so y'all can hear it. It is a perfect song for Peepfest 2012!

wheew...All caught up. Your day sounds like it started out great!! Tonga Toast..hmmm. I have never tried it before, but I love sweets and this looks so good. I can't believe cab drivers can charge you so much 31 dollars...that's highway robbery. You all looked like you were having a fantastic time. Can't wait to hear more. Also can't wait for when Wendy & co. arrive..I just love reading about her adventures with the kids..They crack me up!! I am sure there was plenty of stories to go along with the statement too!!

Morning my friend! Hope all is well out your way. (Actually I hope you're still sleeping as you seem to have a long day ahead of you.) How is the remodel coming along? We are about to start one ourselves, though not quite as extensive. (Mainly re-carpeting the sanctuary and turning two small classrooms into one big one.) I am NOT looking forward to it. And to make matters more joyful someone hacked the church website Sunday night and tried to use it to sell pirated software from Russia. Nice. Luckily our ISP discovered the hack and locked the site down. BUT they left it up to us to unscramble the mess. It took a couple of days, but we're finally back up and running. I'm filling in for Pastor Rick this Sunday so that will be cool, but again, you know how it is when the Pastor's gone...the staff gets hammered. (Hammered as in flooded with work, not hammered as in lingering too long at Petals...although that might help improve things a little bit. I may have to bring that up in staff meeting.) Anyway, take care brother and try not to tire yourself out too much. I despise committee meetings so I'm TOTALLY feeling your pain.

well when my parents take us they have to go in June when the ladies are done with teaching at school. my mom and sister.

candis parents are going with us that year, and we dont want to go the same time as my parents they get along, but then her parents would feel like they have to do everything my parents want and candis are more laid back. like her dad would be fine at the pool all day for 2 weeks.

so we are going to go with them when the crowd level is a little lower in Oct. and cheaper then also.

plus we really want to hit the food and wine festival.

I guess I need to go in October...or MAYBE June this year....

Sometimes I think the devil's there in person so I don't have to advocate. We've had good luck with our ISP and it's cheap ($5 a month with more storage and bandwith than we'll ever need + unlimited email accounts.) So that's a bonus. But, they only host. All the site building and maintanence is up to us to do. Which can be good or bad depending on how you look at. About a year ago I swapped us over to a Joomla based site. It took a while to set it up, but it is much easier to manage now than just a plain HTML based site. DOH! I'm babbling techo again. Sorry. It happens. Hope you have an awesome day in Blankastan! I'm bringing Jeff up to speed on who you are before we meet you in April....he doesn't "quite" get the whole DIS thing (or message board thing in general lol) and gets very confused about who is who, he got a little overloaded with detail last night, it was kind of funny. Right now I think he could name 2 people without getting confused...and not by actual name.

I've no doubt whatsoever. Maybe he was referring to the BO subject that came up recently on mine, or the toilet posting on yours. Pole dancing, or water wedgies?? Who knows. There's far too much fodder to narrow it down.

Indeed we do. All part of that negative attention seeking problem we suffer from. Well, actually, we don't suffer, and everyone else seems to get a laugh or two.

If I hit snooze that many times I would eventually give up and turn it off! Breakfast looked good.
I always offer food or drinks to the homeless. I guess I've gotten lucky with the ones I've come across because they've always said yes. I remember one lady on the corner of Beach and Warner that gratefully accepted the piece of toast I hadn't gotten to yet. Bless her heart. When you have kids and a diaper bag, you always have some kind of food.
