I feel tired just reading your update.
What a long day and that stinks that you had to vending machine Hunt so late at night. Great update!! Hope you can get some rest this week. It sounds like you have quite the busy week coming up.

I am at a meeting right now, but am taking a short break...I must be addicted if I'm on the DIS during a short break....OY>

Hey Jordan, at least you weren't sitting next to a guy that snored, mouth wide open with mucous flying out for 2 hours! I was the lucky one on that trip. (At least my daughter was spared with the window seat) And to boot, his wife sat across the aisle from us and told me how sorry she felt for me and tried waking him up when he got really, really loud. I could even hear him with headphones on!

Sorry about your room choice. I can see it now. You arrive so early in the morning, filled with anticipation and fatigue, to find you're assigned a room in another location. Uggh. When that's happened to me, I wasn't disappointed. Hope it turned out that way for you, too.

I'm THAT guy. That's why I don't fall asleep on planes. I did once and I woke up and everyone was laughing at me....

The room location actually worked out quite nicely.

Hi Jordan, I loved your first night story and pics. Nice chonies and good idea about the change cup. You really make the reader feel as if we are right there with you-what fun!


By the way, I hope you do not mind me asking but I was wondering about two things from your previous reports. How did the Church renovation turn out and whatever came out of your new job or possible change of duties? I tried to be thorough in my reading but somehow never heard how the talk with your boss went. It has been a long time ago, and much talk about wipes, binders, poo, kilts, eating out of trashcans, etc. etc. in between since you talked about this. I was worried but everything must have turned out okay because you are still so busy at work.

Have to see if we have the "right" kind of documents handy for all 4 kids...not looking good but we've sent Taylor off to do recon.

It was so much easier when you just needed a Drivers License and people weren't worried you were stealing kids across the border.

Then again, that 19 year year old drinking age wouldn't have been nearly as cool.

"Mom, Hi, can I get a certified copy of my BC so I can go to Canada and drink Kokanee?"

How fun would that be to be in Vancouver on the last day?

Things learned*

Stay on the toilet longer...just in case.

It's not polite to floss on the plane.

Pop looks great, shopping and eating combined can't be bad.

Jordan wears naughty "chonies."

Change cup is a good idea.

Jordan's feet look pretty tidy for a guy.

Gardetto snack mix looks delicious.

There should be signs posted on airplanes about acceptable behavior...

I am so sorry you are so busy, don't forget to take care of yourself .

I LOVE the point of view pictures, especially from Pop, it really brings back memories and makes me excited for our upcoming trip . The only thing is we don't explore it enough . I have stayed at Pop 4 times and have never seen that pool in person, but being with a man with Cerebral Palsy in a wheelchair means a pool is not on the priority list.

I also put things in their place when I check it, it makes me more at ease to know where things are at . The room location sounded like it turned out very well.

I can't wait to read more.

Like I said when I read Winkers report - as gross as the floss story is - you can't help but be excited for a good story!

Our first stay at Pop we were on the 4th floor of the 90's. We enjoyed that location a lot!

Airplane details missed. As I was reading about thongs, g-strings being like dental floss and then going to Blueyed Girl's TR and seeing the fake teeth....I forgot a story about my plane ride from Vegas to MCO. I was sitting at the 15 degree angle waiting to take off when I hear a clicking noise. I look around only to see the guy across the aisle from me FLOSSING. Really? Where are all the chunks going? You know the ones that usually end up on your mirror at home. THEN, he has no place to put the 2 pieces of floss he used. Well, he found a home for the used floss....the magazine rack in his seat..... I died and went to heaven....he must've known I was writing a TR and needed some good stories...

Ewww. My DH walks around the house with his dental floss pick thingys and I'm so grossed out when he does that. Sick!

OMG. You're killing me, Jordan! Are you laying ON TOP of that bedspread??? Don't you watch Dateline or 20/20??? Ack!!!!

Nice chon-chons, BTW.... very saucy.

I'm now tempted to say no more flying for my family. We'll start budgeting in money for a couple extra days to drive.

No, it was not Alek and Erich. It was just Mom and I on the trip. She took me house hunting with her when my dad was posted to Virginia Beach while the boys stayed at home. That trip had several memorable moments, like when the TSA agent rooted through Mom's bag and pulled out a tampon and asked us in his most threatening voice what it was. Yep, Mom is taking down the plane with a tampon. Seriously, how could he not know what it was? I nearly died with laughter.

I wish there were a fun explanation - one day it just fell off I have been on the DIS so much through Jordan's TRs my computer wore out - that's my story and I'm stickin to it!

We had a room very near to there a few years ago, and with the short cut to the buses it wasn't half bad! Originally I picked the 80s because KC is a geek at heart and I knew he'd love the computer stuff. So glad you at least found a snack!
