Oh bummer, another win for Duke...(sorry to any Duke fans but I was rooting for Butler and all the little guys:mad:)

I was so happy that you posted that you were ok on FB yesterday. Bill and I were worried about you .

It was mostly just some shaking. It would be like being on the outskirts of a tornado...lots of wind, hail. Here it was some shaking...lamps shaking....I actually don't have closet doors. I was laying on the couch in my room and the earthquake got going and all the clothes in my closet started swinging.....it was kinda nuts...

Thanks for thinking of us here in CA!

Growing up in SoCal, I have to admit, the littler earthquakes were a wee bit fun. Nothing else feels like that raw power under your feet! Obviously bigger ones that cause damage are no fun, and I've been in those too, but I rather like the small ones.

Hey, Jordo, glad to hear you were okay...hey, were you recommending glasses #5 for me or saying that's what you picked out for yourself? Your FB photo looked like a D&G pair but couldn't be sure. I gotta ask Kent if he can get me a deal on them unless you have an inside special with Lenscrafter:thumbsup2. Ping me on FB if you're on

Chapter 18. A little boy no more.

As you recall, I had a little problem with my glasses. My friend's butt met my glasses and her butt won.

I went on a search for glasses. There's a Lenscrafters right near my church and I must've been in there 3-4 times before I actually got my glasses. I was in there so many times I was on a first name basis with the guy helping me. Hey Marco--thanks for your help! I'm sure you've tracked this TR down...;) My eyes apparently have gotten worse. So I got them on Friday...

Okay back to the Trip Report.......finally.....

Sunday, February 7th

When we last left you we were doing stroller shuffle...

Next stop Test Track... Since I had already been on Test Track, I volunteered to babysit Ashlyn and Erin. Erin had the unfortunate opportunity of riding Test Track in 08. She still remembers it.
IMG_0131.jpg

She was not going to be joining in on the fun.....Dylan however decided to ride with Mommy and Daddy on his first big boy ride. While they were inside, Erin and I entertained ourselves.

I had the unfortunate opportunity to witness the following:
109.jpg

It was waaaaay worse coming than going, but the coming picture (if I took it) wouldn't have been appropriate for a Disney forum. Needless to say, the cashew chicken I had for lunch came up a little for a return engagement after viewing that unfortunate run in...

Well I was throwing up a little in my mouth and Erin was doing her best Frankenstein and Ashlyn was sleeping from food induced coma, Dylan was experiencing his first trip on Test Track....

Dylan successfully rode Test Track. I'll let Wendy and Derek describe more of the ride portion. When he came out, he was sporting some new toys. Reward for riding. I asked him if he liked the ride; he said " I was scared this much" holding up a big zero....He's was smiling ear to ear. I then asked him if he would ride again to which he answered, "NO"....oh, alrighty then.

We had a few extra FPs so I THINK (not in my trip journal) I rode TT with Allan and Kim.....When we exited Wendy had changed her ADR for Grand Floridian Cafe from 5:30 to 6:30pm. So we had time for one more ride...

What ride would that be............

We had a small one in Fountain Valley this morning 2.9. FV is about 5 miles from our house. Even though it was small, it was close so it felt stronger. It was only a few seconds. It was like someone dropped a boulder outside the house...

I could have gone all day without that horror picture show!! :scared1::scared1::scared1: Maybe she needed to get herself to lenscrafters afore her trip??!!

So cool Dylan grew a foot in "ride love" that day! Bribery never hurts either! :lmao:

Dylan did such a good job...:thumbsup2

Really? That's where my IL's live. I just told her last night that aftershocks are coming and to make sure she kept her flashlight and shoes under the bed. Think she listened?

Like Liesa, I kinda liked them too. I remember one time in yearbook everyone scrambled under their desks and I was laughing and taking their pictures. Glad it wasn't a big one. :lmao:

One of my roommates didn't even feel the FV small one....

I actually thought the one yesterday was the big one...i heard the house creak. alas, it was just a nice rolling motion

I actually wasn't that scared, I only get scared when it's a biggie. I've only been in 2 big ones....you get used to them....

My family and I have only been though one earthquake, On Oct 17, 1989 (my birthday), the famousLoma Prieta Earthquake - that happened during the World Series at took down the bridges in San Fran and destroyed the Marina district in San Fran. My family and I had just moved to Monterey, CA. Lessa had just gotten home from school and was playing in the yard with Alek when it hit, I was visiting some friends who were just moving in, when the ground SHOOK!, it was very alarming and scary, I rushed home to check on the kids and husband, all was well, we felt aftershocks for days. We were lucky as Monterey sits on rock and San Fran on sand. I do not think we will ever forget that day.

have you seen the website www.peopleoftheparks.com ?? You should submit your picture to them! That website cracks me up....people are nuts! I saw about a 20 yr dressed in a tink outfit in the MK going to meet tinkerbelle...but I was not fast enough with my camera. I just remember being shocked and thinking she was way too old for that outfit and shouldn;t have been wearing it in the first place if you know what i mean! LOL!

I had a little problem with my glasses. My friend's butt met my glasses and her butt won.
Glasses are no match for the mighty butt.

What's with the tongue?

Now I REALLY want to see it.

Kids. Who can figure them out, really?

I had to look at that picture for a minute before I could figure out exactly what she was wearing! The color is skin tone! :scared1: I thank you for sparing us a picture from the front. :rolleyes1

Yay for Dylan riding Test Track!

The glasses look great! :thumbsup2 I love Lenscrafters because you can go back as much as you need until they fit right. I usually don't notice they need adjusting until I wear them for a little while. I've had to return a couple pairs before too... they are good that way!

Those pants are awful! :rotfl: Why would anyone ever wear something like that?? :confused3

I'm glad Dylan rode TT... his reaction after the ride was funny! Zach said the same thing after riding ToT two years ago... he still doesn't have any interest in riding again. :sad2:

I like the new glasses!

I love the picture of Erin doing the Frakenstein :lmao:

Ugh sorry about your puking a little in your mouth moment! I hate it when women wear just leggings with nothing over them! Walking around campus I see stuff like that at least 5 times a day :headache:

I'm glad Dylan enjoyed his first ride on TT!

Great pics!!!! errrrr..ummmm well not all of them! :sad2:

Poor Erin... did she have flashbacks of TT?

Dylan rode it!!!! I wanted to bring Ana but DW wasn't having any of it. Maybe next time.:confused3

My eyes apparently have gotten worse. So I got them on Friday...

Nice I like them. :thumbsup2

We made the mistake of taking our DS and DD on Alien Adventure :scared1: for there very first ride EVER in Disney! BIG, HUGH mistake!!!! From there on out every ride we went on the question was asked. Is it dark and is it SCARY!!

So someday Erin will like TT! Let's hope! :goodvibes

My guess is Soarin! :upsidedow

Jordan,
I have been a lurker of your TR for some time. I just had to come out and say you are so funny! Thanks for sharing! Ashlyn, Erin and Dylan are such cuties! Disney is so much fun with kids. Especially little ones! We took ours when they were 9 and 5 and they still say that was one of the best vacations ever!
