We are packed today, and with the no meat Friday, I was not expecting so many people ordering so many ribs and pulled pork. It is helpful that it is 83 degrees here-yep, 83 in Western Pa on April 2!:yay:

It was 70 degrees here today in MA. I went to the local butcher's yesterday to get baby back ribs and marinated chicken for our Easter dinner

:confused3

I'm trying to figure out if that has something to do with the vegas dilema, or is it just a random thought you wanted to throw in there for slow people like me to spend hours trying to figure out where it fits in to things, before giving up and asking a stupid question....

How about this Winkers .... Jordan does Victoria secrets have anything to do with Vegas ???:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Now I'm the Dummy!!!:rotfl2:But anything for a friend :thumbsup2

This is a great idea!! Even at home it would probably be a great idea to have a "posed" full body photo of each child taken on a monthly basis so you have a good recent photo to use if necessary. But on vacation, that is an awesome idea!!

My uncle takes pics of his grandkids every day while they're on vacation...especially when at WDW. We did it with our son back in 2008 when we went to Disney.

If I didn't make ribs everyday at work it would be a good choice for Easter. That is cool that you are having them. We are doing turkey and ham, but every so often I want to mix it up too! 70 degrees is still nice and a welcome relief from all the rain and snow-I am sure you have a lot of that in MA!

Ok, too funny about the "It happened so often that we just stopped worrying about it." comment! That is just nutty!! So what would happen when she'd wander off? Would she eventually find her way back? Crazy!

Ya, pretty much. We would always eventually find her. We never just stopped looking for her, but if we ever lost sight of her, we just stopped panicking and started looking for her. It became so common for her to wander from the group whenever we went out to ANYWHERE.

Before we left a place, we would always announce loudly, "FRANCES! WE'RE LEAVING! WE'RE OVER HERE AT THE EXIT!" And she would eventually find us then. We basically just stopped worrying.

Ribs aren't my favorite but DH, the 2 kids and my mom  them. Had to get 2 packages this time (over 4 pounds) cuz the kids insist on half a rack (or more ) each! This has become our new tradition, a non-traditional Easter dinner!

We always do a non traditional meal on any major holiday. Christmas we had steak, which is what we're doing for easter as well. It's mainly because mom and I get tired of cooking turkey and ham. :)

Day 1! First off I want to say that I’m very happy that WDW and the DISboards family are continuing to help you through the turmoil you had to deal with last fall. God will answer the tough questions for you and will always support you, but a little Disney magic and the camaraderie of friends always helps :)

I really like the idea of being taken along on your journey. I’ve always had a secret ambition to go solo on a trip, but at least until the kids are grown and out of the house you’re my ticket to ride :thumbsup2 I like the pic of the dog standing guard over your packed bags. Too bad about the rain, but better than snow! And so very cool that you had your security/TSA experience was so positive.

Weird experience with the diamond-encrusted watch guy – what a TMI  situation. And I feel your pain on the big seatmate thing, I’m not a small guy and I always end up sitting next to someone bigger than me. Sounds like MCO was a breeze and nice to walk onto the ME bus and have it roll right out.

Great story about the dog jerky btw, yummy! :lmao:

Poo interlude – I experience that very thing this morning, did the morning ritual, then showered and went to work. Once there I was leaning around some equipment to change out a power supply and “knock knock”, time for round two. Nice one with dental floss guy too – ugh!

Good smooth check-in, despite the room assignment. I can’t believe you hadn’t eaten anything since your IHoP breakfast – I’d be a hungry, grouchy wreck. Looked like a nice room and I can’t wait for the chonies game. I bet it is pretty serene and interesting to walk around the resort that late/early in the morning (on your hunt for food). 3am night-time aye?

Peepfest Interlude – If you could swing it I would do land and sea, but only if it was a minimum of 7 days of land plus the 3-4 days of sea.

I’ll be back with thoughts on Day 2 soon – figure it is best to take on this monster in chunks :thumbsup2

I often have 2 part poos.:rolleyes1

Peepfest--it is 80 percent sure that it'll be more land than sea. The DISers spoke and more folks would be interested in the land portion than the sea portion.

Great update Jordan! I MAY have be known to linger at displays longer than my traveling companins would have wished. And I'm happy that things worked out for your Vegas dilema. As it says in Proverbs, "Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses." I hope that work doesnt drive you over sanity's cliff this week. Have an awesome Easter.

God Bless!

Easter Week this year has been surprisingly easy....mostly because we've got so much construction going on.

You and my nephew would get along beautifully.

My nephews, brother, and SIL will be in your hood tomorrow. They're surprising my nephews with an Easter trip to DL and So Cal attractions. What are the crowds like on Easter?

DL will be a zoo. Sorry.

You forgot the part where Dylan wandered off and got lost :scared1:

It's the first time we actually lost a kid for a bit. We were all finding a table and then looked around and realized that Dylan wasn't with us. If you've ever been at Sunshine Seasons, you know it's a flurry of people all over the place. So we were searching the crowds for our little boy and then suddenly saw him half crying coming down the stairs. I guess he had gone back up the stairs thinking that we were up there and then was on his way back down. It was a scary moment for a while, fortunately it wasn't long that we were looking for him. Yikes!

However, he must have gotten over that quickly since he just moved on and never gave it a second thought. I guess they get over traumatic events quickly. :confused3

I think I forgot about it because I was busy getting my food during the whole missing child incident.:)

OMG Wendy, I feel your anxiety. We had a similiar situation when my son was three, and I'd swear my heart stopped beating. Thankfully, our story had a happy ending, too.

Good update, Jordan. Loved the picture of the kids. They looked chilly but happy!!

It was cool and windy all day....

Even the Easter Bunny is a PEEP!!
