Pyrate!! You're drop dead gorgeous!! And I mean it!!

Don't change a thing!

:goodvibes

Thank you so much! I see it now but growing up I believed what the other kids said....kids can be cruel!!!!! I think it made me a stronger person and like I said, I am teaching my kids well because of it!

Important lessons to learn!! Mine grew up overseas, so were always the minority. They've never had American playmates for more than a few months at a time (while on furloughs in the US); I think they know all about being stared at, laughed at, etc... but like you say, are much stronger for it. Certainly they have a different perspective about what makes people beautiful!!

Keep on doing well with teaching your kids! :thumbsup2

Im a military Brat!!!!! My kids are too! We live with a wide range of people and would never have the chance to pick our neighbors in housing. Its amazing that it is 2010 and some people can still be so ignorant!

We aren't military, but rather do community development work in the middle of nowhere- literally. Nope- no choosing neighbors here.....

ours are so ignorant they stole our outhouse!! (and the land it went with) :lmao::lmao::lmao:

4 more months and you will never have to think about that toilet again! :goodvibes

150 something days, Pal!!

I move from outside toilets and crappy indoor cans, to the POWER FLUSHERS at the POP!! :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao::laughing:

You won't have to worry about your bidness hitting the walls there!

(well I hope not anyways!) :lmao::lmao:

Poor Jordan's TR has been officially hi-jacked!pirate:pirate:

I don't miss a day Jordan.
We are still heading that way in September. We are going to book our flight this weekend. I will let you know details when we know more.

I thought of you the other day. Someone gave my daddy a CD with 100 different fart sounds. That should tell you something about him.:rotfl2:
My mom gets so mad at him because of that sometimes. The first thing he said to Courtney when she was born was " Pull Pop's finger ". :rotfl2: MY Moma says that God much have a special Fart section in Heaven for people like my Daddy.:rotfl2: She said she has never seen a person so entertained by " Poofs " like him.

I can't wait to hang out with you again...if I get to meet Aunt Betty too..

Your dad and i will be in the same section of heaven.....:rotfl2:

Hi Jordan, I used to go on retreats in High School and they were always fun, positive, and left me feeling calm inside. I went to Catholic School for 12 years so we prayed every morning at 7 and it really helped when things were feeling bad. I am so sad about the racism-I think you are so precious and honestly all Asians are so cute! My sister lived in Tokyo for 2 years and she said that she has never encountered more gentle, compassionate people as living there. People are just so ignorant, I guess you have to feel sorry for them-for not being as cool as you!:cool2:
Two hours of prayer for you? Wow!
I think that a girl would be lucky to have you-you are so kind and funny and handsome, and very stylish. But, on a selfish side, you would not have any time for us.

Until I saw you weren't single, I thought you might be "the one." :goodvibes

How was Vegas?

My conference was great - Vegas isn't my kind of town really. It was warm and sunny, got a couple of pool times in. :cool1: Not as crowded as usual - especially for Spring Break - I didn't play even one slot. Next time we're flying and taking an extra day to shop and sleep!

oh, he was my friend. i love frogs. i used to have an aquarium full. i have a picture with a tree frog sitting on top of ray's mom's dog's head. that night at pop i actually picked him up but it scared him because he peed on my hand and hopped down. i think that kinda freaked erica out. :rolleyes1 but he followed us up the stairs and then i never saw him again. there's probably some good bug-catching in that stairwell at night with all the lights.

and i will say it again and i'm sure it won't be the last time.....derek & wendy, your kids are so flippin' cute! how much of a gentleman is little dylan with letting the girls have the stroller??? :)

I don't know if I love frogs or not. I used to catch them at summer camp and play with them when I was a kid...I love watching them at AK....

I really have to stay at BLT one of these days, love the views!!!

Everyone looks so cute, and cold, but still cozy and excited!

I'd like to be there right now, even if it was that cold!

Yeah, the denmark site is pretty glitchy and not the easiest to view things through, their catalog is much better! I found a pair I really want and the side temples are removable to let you change the look, which I think is such a brilliant idea, you can order more than one set of sides and presto it's like two pairs of glasses for the price of one.

Sadly since I ordered new rx sun glasses as my new job present to myself....those will have to wait until...I dunno.

Are you planning to go out and look at glasses soon? Gotta love lenscrafters turning them around in an hour, that is a good feature. And from a broken glass standpoint, their service is amazing. They have restored and fixed glasses that I was sure were beyond hope.

I went and looked at Lenscrafters today. I actually like Ray Ban frames the best and they were the least expensive of the ones I tried on. However, I did not take any women with me. I know they will have me trying ones on that I would not normally try on so who know what I'll end up with.

Did you see Derek's sunrise pic of BLT..? Beautiful....

Vegas isn't my kind of town anymore either. Too much stuff to do that gets me in trouble. I haven't been since November 2004.

Jordan, I commend you as manager of this trip report.:thumbsup2 It really does seem like a job. lol The interaction between you and all of the people from your trip make it so fun to read! (Just wanted to come out and say that.)

Wendy and Derek,
Can you handle another "your kids are so stinkin' cute" comment? They truly are.

It does take alot of work to do a TR. Then to reply to everyone...sometimes just replying to people takes a few hours.:scared1:

Thanks...I may be slightly funny, but the other crazies here make it hilarious.:thumbsup2

omg, those are awesome blackmail pictures. I have a few pictures of my little brother in dresses too.

Hey Wendy, do you have any pictures of him with lipstick??? Those are the best!

To add to the "race" talk, when I was growing up, I had people of all different nationalities in my elementary school. At the time, I didn't even know there were other "races", they were just my classmates. Heck, I didn't know even know which country most of my classmates were from. Colour and race just didn't matter to me.

I'm lucky to have grown up in a multi-cultural city like Toronto. I've only ever been a victim of racism once or twice in my life. But now that I go to a university in a town that's mostly Anglo-saxon, I'm starting to feel it more.

In the summer, I took a trip out to a small town with my DBF for our anniversary. We must've been the only asians in the town because EVERYBODY was looking at us! Someone even came up to us and asked us where we were from because we were obviously "out of town".

I agree with what yinyanggirls said, but not really about class. In lower class areas, Asian-Americans often get picked on by African and Latino Americans.

I would love to visit Toronto someday!:thumbsup2 If only to see the Maple Leafs play...:)

I didn't know Toronto was so diverse.

Hi, Jordan! I can't keep up with the chatter this time (life is a little too crazy), but I'm caught up via the links. I was already laughing at the gas stories at Petals! The kids are getting so big....

I'm full of gas for the rest of the trip...so more stories coming up.

Glad you're still hangin in there. Stop by when you can.

Ok all caught up. Looks like a fun time. such nice toilies you have found. :rotfl2:

I loved walking around POP at night.

I was thinking of doing The Wave but not sure.

Will be back again...
