The return of AFTER DARK! Sweethearts, Villains, and Star Wars

Did anyone notice if they allowed you to use a Disney gift card to pay for these special event tickets? I'm wondering if the Oogie Boogie Halloween party tickets will allow it and thought this might give me a clue. Thanks!

I bought Oogie Boogie tickets last year(2021) and was not able to use gift cards.

Hi. So we have tickets to Star Wars nites on May 4th. So it looks like I can make regular park reservations Thursday morning for regular day. we are making a whole day out of it. At what time can I make reservations

Since tonight’s an after dark event at DCA, it appears the lines are crazy short this afternoon at DL while the opposite is true at DCA. I am guessing it really makes sense to end your day at the park that is NOT hosting the after hour event. This will be good to know when we are there next month.

Is it? I have no interest in the after dark events, just the crowds. Lol. If it is, then the opposite must be true, which seems odd.
It appears it is at DL. Odd, that the lines seem much longer at DCA currently.

I'm here now.

Today was my no park day, so Ive been at Downtown Disney all day.

This was 9.30am this morning

I left about 5pm, Downtown Disney getting really busy as everyone left Disneyland and wow the crowds to get in. I took this photo from the circle in the middle of the esplanade, the lines were almost to the centre.

I have sweethearts tickets for Thursday and day tickets too, will be at DCA. What time do you think we should arrive at DL for the party ? We’ll probably go back to the hotel for afternoon break but looking to miss the 5pm crowds but be in before 8pm. What do you think will be a good time ?

Sorry if I missed this question....but do we know if LL will be offered during the after dark events?

what was the wait time situation during this event?
I was checking the posted wait times on the app the first couple hours last night. Rise was open until 9 and was 45-60 minutes. The big ones like Space, Indy, and Matterhorn were usually 15-25 minutes, although Space was broken down at the beginning of the event and Indy broke down a couple times. Peter Pan, Thunder, and Pirates were 15 minutes, Storybook boats was 30 for some reason, and pretty much everything else was 5 or 10 minutes. I’m guessing wait times were inflated especially because LL isn’t used during the event which is what slows the lines down a ton

Thank you! Going to Villains event so interested to see how the lines are generally speaking during these events.
That one is at DCA right? I went to Oogie Boogie Bash on Halloween and after the day crowds were gone everything took less than 10 minutes besides WEB Slingers (I did Incredicoaster, Guardians a ton, Racers, and Toy Story). WEB Slingers took about half an hour I think. But that was when it was still virtual queue and so standby during the event was a big perk for OBB guests

Yes, that's correct - and good to hear!

Does anyone know if you can use the Downtown Disney Monorail entrance for the Sweethearts party? I know that the GC entrance can be used for the parties at DCA but haven’t seen anything about the DL parties.

We did that for the Merriest Nights party during the mix-in period but then we had to wait in an insanely long in-park check-in line for the party (at Launch Bay). In retrospect it would have been better to go out the front gate and come in again just using the party tickets (we had used our Magic Keys at the monorail entrance).
