The Remy Thread-Chefs de France (schedule in 1st post)

Does anyone know if Remy is still making the rounds at Chefs? If so, at what times does he appear?

Remy was at Chefs when we at there the week of 2/7. We had an early dinner and were able to see him from a distance. When we were there in early August for lunch, he stopped at our table twice.

Sorry I don't have any more info than that.

I am so hoping to see Remy when we have lunch at Les Chef's in April :goodvibes

We saw him in Jan. He was so cute. My DD is 22 and loved him. So did I. Hope you get to see him. I'm glad I saw this post, since I just made reservations for lunch in May on a Sunday. I think I will change it so we can see him again.

My girls (17 & 14) saw him back in Nov. They thought he was absolutely adorable...
We (DH & myself) did not get to see him as we were on DCL. While I think Remy is adorable, a Disney cruise is better... so I would not trade my cruise for a visit w/ Remy...LOL!

Yes he is. We were there this past Saturday. Only problem I had is that he was at our table for less than a minute. It was barely enough time to say Hi and Bye to him. He came around a 2nd time just before we were ready to leave and this time his handler completely skipped us when she saw we were still there. I was not happy but my kids didn't seem to care. Well except for the baby who kept asking for Remy, where remy? I posted about our lunch/experience on the Reviews board.

This is a great thread because we are planning on going to Chef's in Sept. and it would be great to see Remy. Thanks for all the info so far, had no idea the times that he came out. My girls will so happy to see him because they both love that movie :goodvibes

Last I heard, it was just during the lunch hour and early evening (like 5:00). When I was there in Sept, a cast member brought him around on a little table to all the tables, asking if you wanted to meet the chef. They only spend a few minutes at each table - enough to snap a few photos, then they moved on. Remy moves and talks and it's very cute!!

I heard this ended last September but I could be wrong.

It was supposed to end but they continued it. There have been ongoing reports of sightungs. I am very hopeful he stays around a while because he is DDs absolute favorite and we are eating at Chefs just for him. She doesnt know he is there so if they discontinue it she wont be crushed but she will be so excited if he is there.

Do you think if I book a lunch for 2:30 we'll see him? I'm a bit worried we might not get in, in time. I know 2:30 is also time, but when I went to Chefs last year, it was a bit busy. And of course, we hope to be there 20 minutes early. (Of course if we get in that early, we'll have to eat slowly.)

You should, but it depends if you get seated on time.We missed him in December because we didn't get seated till awhile after our adr time.We were ok with that since that is not why we like Les Chefs, but you may not be.

Hi,

Steve Soares' site states Remy's schedule is:

Inside Les Chefs de France.
Monday-Saturday at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 & 5:20pm

I saw this same schedule posted on another thread and I was so happy to have seen it because we wanted to try and see Remy on our September trip. So when I made my ADRs I made sure to get a 12:30pm for lunch. My kids will be very excited to see the little guy, they love that movie :goodvibes

Remy does not appear at Chefs de France after 6 PM, or anytime on Sundays.

We were at Chef's last week (Wednesday, March 10) and Remy was still there! We had never been to Chef's before, and tried it because our youngest is such a Remy fan. It was lunch on our arrival day, and it was great!

When we checked in with our ADR, I asked the hostess if Remy was appearing today (we planned a 12:30 reservation, but I know he breaks down sometimes) and she said she would need to check. She asked the manager, who came out smiling, exclaiming "But of course, Remy is here today!" He was very enthusiastic and friendly. When we were seated, Remy came over to our table immediately - he was great and his handler was so sweet with the kids. Our server was also great - again, very nice and very friendly with the kids - and we really enjoyed the food. We also had a great table right next to the window - could not have been better!

So Remy was great, and even if he isn't around permanently, we'll definitely return to Chef's!

P.S. The shop at the back of the France pavilion sells Remy plush - complete with Chef's hat and plush spoon for $11.95 - it was the first purchase of the trip!

I'm glad you had such a nice experience with Remy!!

I am hoping he is still there for our July trip. We're going to Chefs for lunch on the last full day of our trip (it's on a Thursday) and we have a 12PM ADR. My boys would be thrilled if they could see him...but I haven't even mentioned it to them because I don't want to risk disappointing them. DH and I decided that if he is there, it will be a great surprise for them and if he is not, they won't know anyway and we will all just enjoy a nice lunch.

O.k. so, I have a weird question. In September, I made ADRs for Les Chefs for 12:30pm so we could see Remy. We are very excited to see him because my kids just love that movie. So my question is, when he comes to your table, what does he do? I mean, does he talk, does he squeak, do we talk to him and if so what kind of things do you talk to him about. Any sort of info for those that have seen him before would be greatly appreciated. I just don't want him to come to our table and then we have nothing to say to him....I kind of like to be prepared. TIA
