The Real Housewives of WDW - 11/15: In Closing

EMH.....I think I might have done that once or twice. But you're right...you can get a lot done. I'd rather sleep a little longer! :rotfl:

Leo & the Viking hat......SO CUTE!!! :goodvibes
V & the Viking hat....it's so you! :rotfl:

The LOOK.......I think all of us with children have used "the Look" quite a few times as they were growing up!!! It DOES put fear into them....for a little while. Never knew others would react in that same fear!!! :rotfl2:

I listened. The week or so before our trip. To T. Saying they’d decided not to hit any EMH’s this time.
The traitor...:sad2:
;)

Because even though her family opted to sleep some more and skip Day 2’s EMH morning at the MK, she was right; it was a great idea.
Some of our fondest Disney moments come during AM EMH. I'm glad you and Leo sucked it up and made it happen!

No checking of room keys, no wristbands, nothing at all to see if we were actually eligible for this Magical privilege allotted only to a select few of Mickey’s friends.
Did they even check your hotel key at the rides?! I know they do that at night.. but NOTHING this morning?! What a rip-off!

Then I consoled myself with the fact that had I tried that maneuver, they’d surely have been checking every guest’s key for eligibility. That’s just my Fuzzy Murphy’s Disney Law at play.
::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: You KNOW that would've happened. Absolutely. Not Fuzzy at all!

That and the fact that we really, really loved the Yacht Club. Have I mentioned that?! ;)
Uh... yes, V... you have....

Um, wow. Yeah, that’s the Fantasyland construction. Right there, for all to see and hear. Remember when guests never saw such things? When all cleaning/building/repairing was done at night, so new attractions and refurbishments would just “magically” appear when completed? Me too. :sad2:
I'm just hoping they are doing that in order to work round-the-clock to get that puppy finished!! I know, as the mom of a boy, you may not be too overly excited about it, but I NEEEEEEED them to finish all of that before Shaelyn gets too old to enjoy all of that princess-i-fication!

DONE! EMH worked like a charm. We never waited more than five minutes. How did we feel about that?

4785163784_2cde79dc4a.jpg

Pretty darned good, thank you! :cool1:
LOVE IT! Love that you got to enjoy so much with no wait times, and I love that you got to have just a Mommy and Leo morning.

It’s funny; every time we get together it feels equally as though we’d only just been together the day before and like it’s been 1,000 years since we last visited. It feels a lot like coming home to be with our Friends Family once more.
This makes me happy. So glad you have these wonderful DisFriends!

There’s nothing lazy about kicking, FYI.
:lmao: No, there isn't :lmao:

And the boys delighted in the sandy area, building castles, tearing them down, tossing sand on each other (don’t worry – it wasn’t flying all over or disrupting anyone else)
Thanks for clarifying that. You KNOW how I feel about sand throwing. GRRRRR!!

I think I can speak for us all when I say, we loved SAB! I found it to be simultaneously exciting and relaxing, which is pretty neat.
Was this your first time there?

Strangely enough, it didn’t bother me all that much, but Leo actually commented on it. He’s becoming quite the discerning connoisseur.
You are training him well, V! Good job!:thumbsup2

Well, he still wanted it, so here it is:

YES!!! Those are PERFECT!! Has he stabbed anyone with the horns yet?

Nice DIS Umbrella! :goodvibes

Sure, my eyes are closed, but T and LL look great in this, so I’ll take one for the team.
This is one of the greatest photo captions ever! I am still laughing!

I think it's time to finally get rid of that Gator avatar you have. This photo is calling!!

I have no idea what the receiving end of The Look resembles, but apparently it’s pretty scary. Because when I shot him The Look, I apparently scared not only Leo, but also the rest of our group, several other patrons, two servers and some poor guy looking for his wife.
I can't imagine such a look on your face! Please try to document this with a photo next time. Thanks.

I know the look my mother perfected it. It could quiet me from 500ft. I have a look that my husband calls the teacher look. Occasionally he has to say don't give me that teacher look, but I found one good look in class was quicker than words.

Even with EMH, it's amazing how little the wait times were for being so close to July 4th weekend! :thumbsup2

OK, maybe a stupid question, but does the BC provide noodles or something for the lazy river now? When we stayed there in 2007, we had to rent or buy noodles.

Did Leo try the slide? It's so fun!

Mmmm...Beaches & Cream onion rings... My DS16 still talks about them and it's been 3 years. :lmao:

Leo in his viking hat is so stinking cute! :lovestruc

Sounds like EMH worked out great for you......even though traitor T bailed on you. :goodvibes

Loved the viking hat on Leo........he has the biggest brownest eyes & love that grin. And you looked pretty smashing in it too.

I have to try the tequila cave........I keep hearing raves about it!

The LOOK.....my Mom had one too.:scared1:

Ready to hear about all the housewives together!!!!

Great report so far, can't wait to read more! popcorn:: I'm also loving all the "Housewives" references, as I must admit I have become quite the addict of those shows... guilty pleasures, ya know?! :rotfl: Leo is adorable!

V! just caught up on your TR. Love to read your TR's.
The "look"!:lmao: My kids still cower when i give it!
Not sure how i learned the "look" though. bwahahahahahahaha:rotfl2:

Subscribing!! Your title caught my eye...love the Housewives!!

Your son is ADORABLE. Sorry about the construction. We were there in Jan. 09 and saw the crane taking down Christmas decorations - definitely ruins some of the magic. Perhaps they are allowing this construction to be seen because the expansion is so...well...expansive?? However, I think Walt would be disappointed in such things being seen by visitors - ruins the illusion.

Love the TR so far and can't wait to read more!!

Before I get into replies...
A few of you reminded me that I left out a critical element of our SAB experience... THE SLIDE! Yes, the boys sure did use the giant shipwreck slide, and they looooved it. :thumbsup2 All three of them. :rotfl: ANd also LL. :yay: Not V. It was a bikini day for me, and if I've learned anything in my almost-40 years, it's this: no bikinis on water slides. Period.

On to replies...

Yeah.... umm... sorry about that EMH. I made a pact with the devil coughcoughAndycoughcough - No AM EMH's. :guilty: But I'm glad you and Leo had fun! :goodvibes It is great, isn't it?
Oh sure, throw Andy under the bus! :rotfl2: J/K - I really am glad we tried it, and I suspect we'll do that again in the future.
And you're not joking, THE LOOK scared us all.
:lmao:

The LOOK I get back from my 4 year old scares me
Oh, I know exactly what you mean... Leo has his own Look and it's terrifying! :rotfl:

I think my dear husband would CURSE me if I make him do Fantasyland FIRST THING in the morning....
LOL - it was a little much so early, I'll admit!
You're making QUITE the fashion statement there V.....cover Girl!!! [/QUOTE]
Thanks. I'm bringing Viking back. :rotfl:
What is it with you and the rain.....is this going to be a recurrent theme?
:rolleyes1

And remember those am EMH's won you ears last time
OH, that was an EMH wasn't it?!

Not last year but one of the times we tried EMH they checked room keys, tickets and I think they tool a DNA sample
:rotfl2:
But did anyone orde the kitchen sink while you were there!
Nope. I was hoping, but no such luck.
OMG, we have to get him and Jimmy together Jimmy is constantly wearing the one I brought him back from Stockholm
:rotfl: Can't you picture the two of them strolling around Epcot in their hats?!

Love my Droid but still don't understand how bluetooth works.
OMG, I don't either! My new car comes with Bluetooth; I wasn't even going to bother trying to set it up, but my salesman insisted on getting it done. Thank goodness for him, because I never would've figured it out!
B&C sounds great. Love that kind of greasy food. I'm always concerned about the carbs and DD's diabetes but I'm getting more comfortable with figuring out the numbers. Especially since I found the calorie counter app.
That's great! :thumbsup2 It must take a lot of stress off, feeling more confident in making the right choices.
I was thinking of you the other day. DH suddenly got upset that the droid didn't have a stopwatch on it. I immediately said, "There's an app for that!"
:lmao:

Sigh. :sad2:  LY anyway!

I'd rather sleep a little longer!
Me too, quite honestly! :rotfl:
Never knew others would react in that same fear!!!
Right?! :rotfl2:

Did they even check your hotel key at the rides?! I know they do that at night.. but NOTHING this morning?! What a rip-off!
Nope, nothing.
Good point. The whole thing is just an annoyance to me in a lot of ways, but I can totally see your point! :thumbsup2
Thanks for clarifying that. You KNOW how I feel about sand throwing.
::yes:: I totally thought of you as I was writing that point, lol!
Was this your first time there?
Sort of. I'd been there without Leo once, but didn't explore much. And Leo was there two Halloween's ago, but only had a few minutes in the pool. So this was the first extended period of time we'd had at SAB!
Has he stabbed anyone with the horns yet?
Yep, yours truly.
I think it's time to finally get rid of that Gator avatar you have.
:scared1: Perish the thought - football season is almost upon us!

I can't believe that face is capable of conjuring The Look!
Aw, thanks... I'd like to think I'm much nicer than The Look would indicate. :rotfl:

This makes me think they're trying to do "the look" but they aren't quite old and mean enough yet so it just looks cute!
:lmao: OMG, you're so right!

I know the look my mother perfected it. It could quiet me from 500ft.
:rotfl: I must say, my Look isn't usually quite so effective as it was that night; it must've been especially good!

Even with EMH, it's amazing how little the wait times were for being so close to July 4th weekend!
YES! I'm going to get into that very subject soon, but it was bizarre.
OK, maybe a stupid question, but does the BC provide noodles or something for the lazy river now? When we stayed there in 2007, we had to rent or buy noodles.
Not stupid at all! No, you still have to buy or rent. But we just brought ours form home. :thumbsup2

Sounds like EMH worked out great for you......even though traitor T bailed on you.
::yes:: She missed out! ;)
I have to try the tequila cave........I keep hearing raves about it!
I might be one of the few not raving about it... I thought it was okay, and worth a try, but have no burning desire to go back.

Great report so far, can't wait to read more! p I'm also loving all the "Housewives" references, as I must admit I have become quite the addict of those shows... guilty pleasures, ya know?!
Thank you! Hey, we all need some mindless drivel in our lives, right? TRH suits that bill just fine, lol!

The "look"!:lmao: My kids still cower when i give it!
Hi there! The Look is mighty and powerful. :thumbsup2

Subscribing!! Your title caught my eye...love the Housewives!!
Yay, thanks for coming along!
We were there in Jan. 09 and saw the crane taking down Christmas decorations - definitely ruins some of the magic.
Oh that dreaded crane. :headache: Every year we see that thing and every year it drives me batty!

Hi V!

Loving your trip report so far - no shocker there. And I love the title. I also LOVE the housewives show. Atlanta left a little to be desired but I watch it anyway. NYC is def my fave - have you been watching Bethenny Getting Married? She was my favorite housewife from NYC - show is good but very different without all that housewife drama.

Anyway, the disney bug was biting me the other day and hasn't stopped and shock of all shocks happened - I convinced my family to do Disney next summer for our "big" vacation. Usually we are just 2-3 nights, living so close and all. But we are looking at 6 nights next June. I'm thrilled, although worried about crowds. Was it horrible if you plan and go early, take swim breaks, etc?

Can't wait for the next installment! :flower3:

I love the NYC and NJ housewives and your title caught my attention! ;)

Love the TR so far!! Keep it coming!!:goodvibes

Oh sure, throw Andy under the bus! :rotfl2: J/K - I really am glad we tried it, and I suspect we'll do that again in the future.

Well, before I become the Danielle of the trip - a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do to keep the hubby happy. No AM EMH = Happy hubby. :)

Besides, I gave you fair warning - it's not like I bailed on the day of, like last year. :rotfl2:

Leo is so cute with his front teeth missing. It sound like you had a fun, exhausting day. I can't wait to hear more.

Hi V -

I lurked on your TR last week, but I decided to join in this week. Great TR. You title is excellent! I am really enjoying all the antics including "the LOOK". :rotfl2: lol very funny. That must be one heck of a look if it can silence the whole place!!

Your son is adorable. When my youngest son was the age he always spilled his drink - everytime we went anywhere. We started to expect it, so when it happened we would all start to laugh!

Come to think of it - he's almost 16 now and he just drenched me again when we were out to dinner a few weeks ago in Nashville. :rotfl:

All caught up, and loving the TR so far! I'm very jealous of The Look. I'm not a mom, so I don't quite have it yet, although I do have an Aunt Look that I have used to some nominal success... But now that the kids are older they know that I'm pretty much just there to spoil them. So, I bow down to your Look prowess! :worship: Do you give lessons, perhaps? :teacher: "Now class, the degree of eyelid squinting should be equal to the ratio of bad-ness in the behavior that caused The Look..."
