~ The Real Housewives of Orange County ~ Season 12~ 2017 ~ JULY 10th

I think that the demeanor & attitude we see coming from Jim is that there are cameras in his face. He seems more like he isn't on board with his personal life being on display, but does it reluctantly to support his wife. I bet you'd get a completely different attitude from him if he were talking about baseball with the guys on RHOC camera. This show is asking a jock/man's man to gossip about other women & their significant others on camera...lol

Totally agree! I feel like he is like "aw crap why did my wife sign me up for this" lol. Maybe he's been in the media for so many years that he's over it and wants no part in it. I mean you see Terry.. he eats this stuff up. Jim just seems disinterested - can't blame him!

Agree. Jim is a little more human, but still a jock on his twitter page. It's worth a read now and then. He understands housewives stuff, and it is occasionally mentioned.:)

Here's my take FWIW.....I think Vicki believed Brooks about the cancer and as time went on found out that he was lying. I think she was contractually bound to film with him so I think she went along with it. It seems like a big coincidence that they "split up" right before the last 5 or 6 episodes aired that were mainly about him and this lie. Vicki will NEVER admit that she knew about this lie. EVER. I also find it strange that she had no problem with them airing her reaction to her mothers death but will not talk to her daughter about Brooks on camera. She even said on WWHL when asked why she allowed them to film her she said that she signed up to be on a reality show and this was her reality. So all in all I don't think she was in on the lie to begin with but I think she kept it going. She knew. She knew.

The would thing was just crazy, and went on and on over weeks.
It's an individual decision to treat or not (assuming one is truly sick...) that's not what annoys me about Brooks.
It's that the "proof" he selects is silly and unnecessarily complicates what should be simple. Pretty sure Heather refer to his "scan" results as mock-uments on WWHL. That was telling.:rolleyes1

He went to for chemo infusions? OK, then grab the dated discharge papers from each infusion treatment. Those papers would have had plenty of details including the name of the drug that was infused...and it would have taken Terry about 3 minutes to carefully look them over and verify. But, no, Vicki and Brooks made a deliberate choice to have, of all people, Tamra "verify" some alleged scan.
Just ridiculous.

And I agree about Jimmy. That is one odd marriage. If it works for them, great. I hope it does.

apparently newport imaging isn't happy with being named/having supposed test results shown w/their logo-on the show. there are reports that they are considering legal action against brooks b/c they've been flooded with phone calls interrupting their business since the episode he first named them on/showed the docs aired. from what I've read the basis of a lawsuit would be fraud b/c they don't do the type of testing he's attributed to them and he used their logo on documents visible on the show.

I'm honestly kind of surprised bravo didn't blur out the logo in editing-unless they've got a release from a company to show a registered trademark you'll either see it blurred out or in the case of drink cans or boxed items-electrical taped over.

He told Brianna he had pancreatic cancer? What! Then changed it to pancreatitis when the fool realized Brianna was onto him. And then the supposed phone call to Terry?

Brianna claims Brooks told her that. Is she lying, or maybe just not remembering it right? She can't stand Brooks, so to be fair that does need to be taken into account. Also, this supposed phone call to Terry.... Notice none of the HW or their husbands claimed Brooks or Vicki told them directly. It was a rumor floating around out there.

Look, I've said it before. Brooks seems like a slimy guy. But unlike the OCHW I would be very careful about accusing someone of faking cancer. Does it look fishy? Yes. Could that be because that's how the producers of the show wanted it to look? Because without this controversy this season would have been even worse, with no story line at all.

Pretty sure shannon said Vicki told her that herself.

I wonder if jim in agreeing to be a part of this was taking a page from the kelsey grammer play book-it was widely publicized that the only reason he minimally participated while ACTIVILY ENCOURAGING/PUSHING camille to participate in the rhobh franchise was b/c he knew the production schedule would keep her busy, distracted and with less time on her hands to become aware of his on going extra marital affair.

with the way megan likes to play detective I would think that if jim were playing house with anyone on the side the best thing he could do is get her distracted by participating in a reality show and ideally having the opportunity to start digging up dirt on someone else. she had already had a taste of being on one episode of another show (say yes to the dress) so he may have capitalized on that wanna-be celebrity aspect of her personality to 'keep her busy'.

I've only seen jimmy on the show but he really strikes me as the kind of guy who wants to have a 'home port' when he comes to california periodically for bsns/spend time w/his kids who live there (the others I believe are in st. louis). I think he thought by marrying megan he was getting a barbie doll who could serve as arm candy/baby sitter-little did he know he was getting a bratz.

Totally agree about the editing. Can't figure out how the name/logo got through. I understand why the imaging center would be annoyed.

And that brings us back to the absurdity of waltzing into a free-standing clinic to have a "scan" with a recent history of a life-threatening cancer.
Where are you sent when you have serious disease for testing? A hospital. The hospital would have all his previous radiology information, scans and interpretations. Any new scan would need to be carefully compared to all the old information.

He could get all the opinions from Dr. Tamra he wants..but really what he needs most (if he has a disease) is a careful comparison to his old scans.

And I think that's basically what was referenced on the show with the discussion about he'd be sent to a hospital, not to a free standing imaging center. (Who it sounds like doesn't do that type of scan anyway...)

Even their conversations on the phone are very one sided. I don't think he is even listening.
I am shocked that Megan doesn't get on a flight out of LA an goes and checks on Jim.
She has to know his attitude and she has to know it now by seeing his attitude on tv.
Can someone tell me, what he actually does in St. Louis?
I keep thinking he is a car salesmen, does he actually play baseball yet?

He's a broadcaster for the St Louis Cardinals

You're correct. Shannon said she heard the story from Vicki herself.

All that is confusing also. When they confronted Vicki about it Shannon didn't seem to be very firm about saying "Vicki, you told me Brooks called Terry!" It was a more general, "this story is going around."

If you don't want to believe Brooks and/or Vicki, lots of circumstantial evidence to go around. But it's just that. There's a lot of partial stories, information, he said/ she said. And every single woman on that show has been guilty of flat out lying, half truths, twisting things... so I really wouldn't hang my hat on anything any of them say.

Who know? FWIW-
Someone on Heather's twitter mentions that this issue comes up in the reunion. Q-Will they ask Brooks on the reunion about the night call? Heather-Yup.

Agree, the women have told lies and bent the truth. However, this lie would've been squashed immediately by most people. You want proof -- here you go! And the twists the women typically spin aren't this daunting. I don't believe they conjured this up. I can't see Heather,
Shannon, or Meghan lying to frame someone. (Tamra, well...:rolleyes1)

The fact that 2 prior girlfriends said he faked it doesn't help.

Brianna may very well hate him, but she is a nurse and I highly doubt she would get pancreatic cancer and pancreatitis confused.

His paperwork was sketchy. And who he showed it to was someone who can't even read the Bible.

Our own private investigator (Meghan) caught him time after time telling falsehoods.

He was offered help by top oncologists and didn't go. (Faked a flat tire to boot)

This is too much evidence that points to him lying about cancer. Sure, I can be completely wrong. But imho I think he was lying.

He did play for the LA Angels (of Anaheim? idk, so weird) until about 2000 I think. Most of his later career was in STL. Maybe that's why LeeAnn lived out that way? Not sure.

Heather was the only one that confronted Vicki about that specifically. The other women weren't there.

Ex girlfriends, always a good source ; )

Didn't say she was confused. We all remember things the way we want to remember them at times. Or twist what someone said.

Tamra is Vicki's best friend, and they go back the farthest. Makes perfect sense she would be the one Vicki felt most comfortable with sharing this information right?

No, in her OPINION she caught him in lies. Some of which were already debunked.

Faked it according to you. Why wouldn't he go? Who knows, maybe he feels comfortable with his own doctors.
