Forget about food, clothing, shelter and education....I just had a look at our Frequent Flyer points and realised that I could fly on points (I won't say free, because the taxes are pretty steep) to LA in FIRST CLASS!!! :cool1: I've never so much as traveled Premium Economy so that would be amazing. But, alas, we have three small children. So we'll keep saving those points and all five of us will fly cattle class to LA or Dallas in 2015. *sigh* it's nice to fantasise though...:teeth:

Yes, but did you sign your whole family up and transfer their points to your account after the last trip. :)

Oh, and I would totally take an upgrade and leave my family sitting up the back of the plane......:cloud9:

The kids haven't been to DL yet - well the older two have been to Tokyo DL - so there are no points to transfer. I would have no issue doing this and using their points though! :woohoo:

I would love to upgrade and leave the family sitting at the back, but I don't know how the DH would handle them on his own - never mind the rest of the passengers! They are only 1, 3 and 4 right now.

Sorry had you mixed up with Melbourne5 who is just back from a trip.

But when you go, sign your kids up to Woolworths everyday rewards - no joining fee for QF this way - each member accrues points but you can transfer to a family member (me) I have never collected points but now have 105000 after one family trip.

Still cant quite get me there, those taxes hurt.

Oh and its probably not a good idea to leave three (or is it 4 inc. DH?) boys unsupervised on the plane. :rolleyes1

Is it still free to become a QFF through everyday rewards? I thought that finished.

we joined vaustralia velocity rewards for free just before our recent flight... carlo and i now have enough points after 1 trip to upgrade to silver class (if we pool).

by the end of the current trip -- which i'm giving serious consideration to doing in PE -- we will have enough points to send my parents on a week long cruise & hotel stay before & after. they totally deserve it.

one day those kids will pay you back with a vacation :)

I joined our kids up this way before our trip last July.

Alicia that is so sweet of you to do that for your parents as long as our kids appreciate what we have done for them i'm happy :)

But i must say i did transfer all their points across to DH's account but only so we could use them for this trip i wont be doing that everytime.
