LOL so I got all excited to get the Mr Potato Head parts at the parks as we were not going to have time to hit downtown disney. Only to find THERE WERE NONE! At least not in HS, MK and Epcot. I asked everywhere in HS and everywhere in Epcot. I asked CMs who worked in stores and ones who didn't. Lots were just not sure. Then one in HS said not here, in Epcot in Mousegear. Only in Epcot in Mousegear they said nope not anymore...
At MK I asked in Fantasyland and tomorrowland, a couple said not at all or in downtown Disney, one said check Toontown but she didn't think so... On the way into TT I asked a CM leaving and she said no (so I never did verify IN that gift shop near the judges tent as we were on a schedule)
Aye in the end we DID squeeze in a quick visit to Once Upon a Toy and
I seriously bow to those of you who get more than 40 parts in there!!!!
Granted I had some big parts (Christmas Tree, Santa hat, Cher Hat, Storm Trooper parts, Mickey Feet and hands, but I only got 37 pieces in there with no tater, and that took lots of tetris skills LOL
The CM at checkout half roller her eyes at me when I said "It only shuts on one side would you like me to try and re sack them?
" She just made a face like ( what EVER) and rang me up. At least I got my parts!
While getting a 2nd fastpass (had one for Buzz Lightyear 10:15-11:15) heard the clock ring at 10:15 and put my ticket in, it said too soon, so I waited a minute and did it again and the FP for Peter Pan came out, then a surprise one for Philarmagic (which had no wait anyhow lol) but then, he fast passes just kept on coming!!! 12 of them came out in the end on 1 ticket for Peter Pan!!!
The 2 CMs had never seen it and looked a bit frightened that it would never stop
but it did. Too funny. I handed them all over except my 1 and got 1 for the other tickets.
As for restaurants...
Whispering Canyon: Decent food and by far the kids favorite place, be sure to ask for ketchup while you are there
Dinner is the most fun, breakfast was good not great.
Sanaa: Interesting food, a nice change having a table by the window made the lunch awesome. They fed the giraffes while we ate and some crazy bird was at the window.
50's prime Time OK food, the atmosphere is very cool but I don;t love the "attitude" charming to some... not all of us
Tony's Probably my least favorite food, but the confetti and ribbons on the table mixed with the free pin the greeter gave my son for his birthday saved it.
Via Napoli was AWESOME we got a family sized pizza which was $40 but so so good. An actual rival to the pizza I had in Rome.
Roaring fork: Good food, fast. They had very vanilla soy milk which made my son's day! The croissant sandwich was quite yummy for an already prepared breakfast.
