Ok, where was I? DTD. So last year we went to WPE Westside. None of us were impressed. It was ok, but didn't live up to the hype. The funny part is that we started on Marketplace and walked all the way over to Westside. We didn't even see the WPE on the Marketplace side!
So, after finding the correct one, I ordered
Chicken Pesto Focaccia - all natural rotisserie chicken, garlic-basil-pesto sauce, red onions, chopped Romaine and Roma tomatoes and Creamy Lemon Pesto. I got it without the tomatoes.
OMG this was soooooooo good! The bread was soft and flavorful. The chicken was tender and the pesto nicely coated every bite. I'm one of those people that likes their salad swimming in dressing and this fit the bill. If you only like a little dressing, this might be too much for you. The red onions gave it a nice oomph. I normally don't like raw red onions because they take over in whatever they are in, but these weren't overpowering at all; a nice compliment.
The chips were also great, the parm they had sprinkled on them really "kicked them up a notch." (is that phrase trademarked?

)
There was a bit of confusion when I ordered this. It wasn't WPE's fault, but mine. I had assumed everything under that particular menu section was a pocket. I had seen some amazing looking pictures of them and that's what I wanted. I was wrong, but I'm glad I got this, it was very very good.
DH ordered a pepperoni pizza
He really liked it and cleaned his plate. It fulfilled his pizza craving since the rest of WDW pizza is terrible. The only problem he had with it was that it was a thin crust. We're from western NY where pizza is thick, like a loaf of bread under the toppings. But other than that it was really good according to the hubs. I didn't get a bite
I did have a problem with the staff though. The girls at the register were texting in favor of taking our order and talking to each other about their evening plans while taking our order. The waiter we had was great, very attentive. It wasn't a huge deal, but it rubbed me the wrong way. But I was in Disney so really, who cares?

I shrugged it off and enjoyed the rest of my meal!
We walked around DTD a little more and were feeling like a little nosh so we headed to Ghiradelli. We went for
The Gold Rush - Peanut Butter Hot Fudge Sundae - Vanilla ice cream with hot fudge and melted peanut better throughout. Topped with whipped cream, roasted peanut halves, cherry and Ghirardelli Squares milk chocolate
It was ok. The ice cream wasn't anything special and the thing we were both most looking forward to, the peanut butter, was in very short supply.
We had planned on getting DD something at WPE, either mac & cheese or mashed potatoes. However, there were too many things in both and "exotic" cheeses like Gorgonzola. DH was afraid she wouldn't like it. I didn't think she'd have a problem. I think it was the fact that it was $4 that made DH want to skip it.
Don't worry though, she wasn't starving! She's still nursing, so food is all just practice for now. I didn't want anyone to think that we're bad parents and only feed her when we feel like it

.
At any rate, once we got back to POR we got her some plan mashed potatoes. She loved them! She ate over half the bowl!
Sorry, I just couldn't resist showing her off!
Well, I'm off for the night. Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow once I've uploaded more pics. Facebook has been giving me trouble with them.
