Hi Everyone - First the cast of characters!!!!
(I am one of those geeky mothers who matches everyone. Some days just the boys, some days all of us, some days the girls. You get the idea)

The QUEEN - ME 30 - Disney Lover!!!

The KING - DH31 - my OLDER Husband - Disney Lover!!!!!

THE PRINCE - DS4 - you guessed it - Disney Lover! Oh yeah, Loves Thomas the Tank too!

THE PRINCESS - DD1 - Disney Lover in the making, calls all characters Mimme except oofy. All princesses are known as Rella.

We also went with my DMom and DDad

We left Pennsylvania on a direct Southwest Flight. It was uneventful (that is the way I like flights!!!!) We arrived in Orlando at approx. 2 in the afternoon. We did not have to worry about luggage because we were boarding the MAGICAL EXPRESS!!!!! After we got in the line for All Star Movies we were boarded immediately and headed to DISNEY WORLD!!! We were excited to be in Disney but tired as well!!! We went to check in as soon as we arrived at the resort. We waited approx. 25 min to get service. It was around 3 in the afternoon so it was a busy time of day! My DH and DDad went to purchase refillable mugs! We were all thirsty as well as tired! We did not get them for the kids, they have never had a soda and I wasn't going to start in Disney!!! They stuck with milk and water! We told the girl helping us that we were celebrating my DMom's 5oth BDAY. They set up a special birthday wake up call from goofy. They also gave her the birthday pin.

We got our rooms!!!! We were in the 6000 building. We had the Herbie the Love Bug rooms. My DKids liked the car but I was really hoping for Toy Story Section...oh well!!!

My DS gets travel sick so we decided to not go to the park the first night. We thought he needed to relax and have an early evening to bed. We did check out the playground. The kids loved being able to run around!

We went back to our room and got some sleep for an early day at Epcot.


Normally we would start our trip at the Magic Kingdom. Since June 3rd was the last day of the Flower and Garden Festival we decided to go there. My Kids are generally awake and ready to go by 6:30 A.M. so we try to do EMH in the AM. Being from the east coast and having kids that are usually sleeping at 9 PM we never do EMH in the evening...that is just the way it goes.

Anyway, The Prince was tall enough to ride Soarin'!!!! We got the FP for that and went through living with the land and saw the little show in the land pavilian. The Princess loved that show...she kept clapping for the animals! It was time to ride Soarin' - the Prince was scared and excited at the same time. I was watching his adorable reactions more than the ride!!!!

We love Figment!!!

The gang went into The Seas and did Nemo but The Princess fell asleep. You can't take the strollers into the pavilions so I just stayed outside and walked around.

We had lunch at the Electric umbrella - nothing special just standard counterservice Disney fare.

We began our quest for topiaries and flowers!!!!

I was totally into the topiaries from the F & G Festival!

I will stop boring you with the flower pics...I just love them!!!!!

While walking around the countries my DKids both fell asleep. We saw BIG AL (thanks to some dis friends I know his name!!!!) He had zero line so I had to have a pic!

WE left the park at 3:00 to get to the Hoop De Doo Review. We had about 1/2 hour to waste once we got there before we could get seated. My kids of course loved the playground!

They love the slides. Since we go to Disney about 1 time a year (this year more often with the AP's) we feel more relaxed and we make time for the kids to play!
Is there anything as much fun as playing in the dirt???

The Hoop De Doo was good but it was not what we were hoping it would be. Since we were on the dining plan we were in Cat. 2 seats. There was a big pole blocking my view of the stage. I could only see about the right 2/3rds of the stage. One funny thing. The part where the girl sings off key my DS announces to the whole place "Let's Get Outta Here!" It was funny since it happened when she was singing poorly. I am a music teacher and I love shows and musicals. This was only an average show. I can't imagine I will be going back here. I know there are alot of people who love this show, please do not flame me, it just wasn't my thing. That said, we did have a good time, hey we were in Disney...we always have a good time!!!

A special tip I picked up somewhere on this board. Every day a different character stops by our room and leaves a gift for each of the kids. (Our Mousekeepers have always been great about "arranging" them for us. There is a sticker that says To: and the From: has a sticker picture of the character (since my kids can't read yet.) As you can see from the pic, my DS was thrilled to get Timothy Mouse (he has Dumbo and loves that movie). This pic cracks me up because the King was dead tired and the Prince was over excited!

Throw the kids in the tub and get them ready for bed...we have a big day at Animal Kingdom tomorrow!

For those traveling with 2 little kids. We tried to have them sleep in the same bed. It would not work! My Princess WOULD NOT stop pesting her Big Brother! He was getting mad because he was trying to sleep and couldn't! I ended up with the Princess on some nights and the prince on others and my DH vice Versa. It was kind of nice because at home we have a big bed and I have my space. In the value resorts it is a small bed and my DH (as much as I love him) hogs the whole bed. When I was with one of the kids I had more room. We all got good sleep this way.

All 6 of us had the "Celebrating Grammy's 50th Birthday" Shirts. My mom loved them!!!! I had them made as part of her gift. We wore them on our first travel day. Then I washed them and we wore them the day we actually celebrated in Disney.

Okay where were we...oh yeah June 4. We had a magical day planned. Still not going to the Magic Kingdom...can you even believe it! Unfortunatly, DS 1/2 wakes up enough to tell us he isn't feeling well.

We have never seen him so asleep!!! We could not get him up!!
Meanwhile the princess is READY to GO GO GO!!!

My DH and I "argue" over who will stay back. Neither one of us wanted to leave without the other! We decided that since my parents were the ones on the trip I should take the Princess and spend the morning with them.
We went to Animal Kingdom. We rode the safari immediately! We saw loads of animals! We went to the bird show, not something I would noramally do but since my dad is an AVID birdwatch (he has life lists and all!) we went to that show. It was pretty good!

A worker came over to me and said, hang on to your daughter there will be a bird landing right next to you. Next thing I know...there is an OWL!
After a few more activities (It was VERY HOT that day and I was feeling guilty about leaving my DH and DS at the hotel) we headed back to the room. We had lunch at the food court. I had pasta alfredo with chicken. It was really good!

Anyway, the Prince came around and was ready to go to the park!!! (I think he just need some extra sleep!) We all headed to Epcot - we had Ressies at Le Cellier for 5:00. The Food was Delicious!

After a delicious dinner we were on a mission. We wanted to hit up every kidcot spot in each country. We have often tried...but never finished them! We let the kids out of the stroller a lot. They truely had a GREAT night. We heard several groups, Off Kilter, The Beatles Group, Japanese Drummers, the kids were dancing and having a great time. It was one of my most enjoyable evenings in Epcot EVER! The joy my kids were having made it wonderful!

This was my disappointment pic of the week! My kids spontaneously hugged. My camera was on the wrong setting!!!! But I LOVE the PIC anyway!

We FINISHED OUR KIDCOT!!!! Then we stayed to view the night show.

After the night show we headed back to our room. The kids were excited to see which character visted and what they brought!

MAGIC KINGDOM HERE WE COME!!!!!

YIPPEE HOORAY!!!! Extra Magic Hours start our day here!!!
FIRST RIDE- - - DUMBO!!!!!This was DMom and DDad's first ride EVER on Dumbo or Cindy's Carousel! This was thier first time going with kids...I was 14 on our first trip ever!

Then we moved on to the carousel!

SUPER DADDY!!!!

Time for some play time at pooh's spot! This time is so important to my kids! They LOVE the playgrounds!

We LOVE the buzz ride. DS favorite rides are in this park he loves Dumbo, Pooh, Buzz, and for the first time ever...Big Thunder Mt. RR!!! He calls it the express train because it goes so fast!!!!

Dh and my Aunt Pam on buzz. My aunt and her friend and a few others were at the park the same week. we did some things with them too! More on that to come!
We spent the whole day at MK. We left at about 4:00 for the Contemporary. We had a 5:00 Ressie for CHEF MICKEY's. We had a great meal. The food was good. The kids loved the ice cream toppings. We all loved the characters!
The princess LOVES MIMMIE!!!

DS gets EXCITED about EVERY Character!!! He is the perfect age for Character LOVE!

After Dinner DMom and DDad went to DTD. We decided to go back to the hotel. We went swimming!

After our swim and a little game room play...it was time for BED!!!! Special day TOMORROW!

Your boys are at the perfect age for "Character Love!!!!" It is a magical age where they aren't afraid and believe....REALLY believe! I am sure your boys will have a great time! Don't be afraid to have a little "down" time.

BLIZZARD BEACH!!!!
FIRST TIME EVER!!!!!​

Technically not our first time. We went there in 2002 but....we sat there for 2 hours waiting for a thunderstorm to pass...which it didn't. We were there but never did anything!!! So, this really was our first time ever!!!!

Our kids went with Grammy and Pappy to Animal Kingdom. We didn't have any little kids!!!!! We did have our friend's niece. She was no problem! We got there at 8:00 for the Extra Magic Morning Hour! It was amazing. There were literally only 20 people at the gate!!!! We bought the $10 mug for soda. The 3 of us shared it. They give cups for sharing, the lady who sold it said we should share!!!!
FIRST THING - - -Summit Plummit I can honestly say, that was the first time in my life a ride TERRIFIED ME!!!! It was so scary! I landed so hard I bruised my bum! It was black and blue and sore for the rest of my vacation! We did other rides. We really enjoyed the lazy river (actually, we really enjoyed swimming and sliding without a 1 year old and a 4 year old who can't swim!!!!) I did sprag my knee on the bottom...ouch!!! I was really getting beat up at this park. I told my DH....I never knew that at 30 I could feel so old!!!

I never got a Disney tattoo before. I never got an "I survived" anything before...I always thought those "I survived" things to be wimpy. Well....not this trip! I got an "I survived the Summit Plummit" tattoo (if you are thinking of getting one...they last a REALLY long time.)

We rode the ski slope 2 times. We realized how out of shape we really are when we were at this park!!!! We thought we would do the plummit again...when I got to the bottom of the tall stairs, I actually started to have an anxiety attack! I was seriously too scared to do it again, that has NEVER happened to me before! We rode the family slope again, that was a lot of fun. We left at about 2:00 to go back to our room. We went on every slope, tunnel, wave pool. The park was not full...it was an overcast day.

DMom and DDad had my DKids and they were trying to get them to nap after the morning in the park....I don't think so!!!

Back at the hotel.
We met back up with my DMom and Dad. We had one of her BDay presents delivered to the resort. It was an ornament with Mickey Holding a Present. It said "Happy Birthday." We had it personalized to add "50th" on the front and "Grammy" on the back. It turned out really well!

We went to MGM for the Evening. We caught the High School Musical Show as soon as we arrived.

We got FP for Little Mermaid. It was already time for our ADR. We were going to Sci-Fi. The atmosphere was nice...as usual..but this was the worst night for food. My steak was like leather!

After dinner we saw the Little Mermaid. Then the RAIN STARTED....oh did it rain!!!! We went on the great movie ride. I bought princess a poncho...the rest of us had them from previous trips. It never rained on her first trip so she didn't have one! Anyway, on our way out...in the TORRENTIAL rain we stopped at the sweet shop and got caramel apples for in the room.

We waited...soaking wet in the TORRENTIAL (did I mention that ) Rain. We waited for over an hour to get our bus. The people were getting unruley. My DKids were whining because they were getting wet. A good time was had by all !!!!!
When we got to the hotel Princess hung out with Grammy in their room while we took the Prince to the gameroom for a little while. His Gram (the one at home) game him special money for his birthday to use in the gameroom.

Time for bed...More fun tomorrow!!!!

We are geeks...but we have so much fun together!!! The lime green shirts were bought as part of a Dis group for a cruise. I was glad they still fit my princess!!

PARTY AT MAGIC KINGDOM!​

This is the day we have been waiting for! We arrive for extra magic morning. We ride a few in Tomorrowland. We go over to ride Pirates at 9:00 when they drop the rope. FUN!!!! After the pirate ride we wanted to FP Jungle Cruise...but alas the fastpass machines are not working. So...we get them for Space Mt. We also rode the magic carpets.

We decided to get our hair done at the barber shop for my Dmom's party day. The whole group of 10 went. My aunt, her friend, her mom, and their niece. The 4 of them did many things with us. Anyway...off to the barber shop. We only had to wait about 10 min before it was our turn.
Princess was happy and calm so she went first.

The Prince got the colored paint. They said...it will dry in an hour...ha ha ha ha ha I don't think so!!!! It was about 5 hours...I guess with the humidity. He had orange hair stuff on his shirt, on other shirts, on the stroller. I think I would wait until the kid would be older to do that!

Time for the Birthday Girl

My dad was growing a beard as part of a "contest" at our church. He won on Father's day and shaved it off!!! Anyway, he had the ugly scraggly thing hanging on his face in disney. They barber took care of that too!!! He got ALOT of comments and laughs throughout the day!

We went on the TTA - which I still call Wedway. My kids both love that. I think we rode that about 6 times over the course of the trip. My Ds also rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad for the first time. That has become one
of his new favorites!!! He kept calling it the express engine.

Tonight we had DMom's Celebration at the Crystal Palace. They even gave her a birthday card. Our server was super nice!
Most of my character pics have my DD looking at the character!!!!

After dinner the sky was threatening. After being stuck in the POURING rain the day before my DH did not want to be stuck in it again. I was not leaving the park...the exciting part of the day. Our local HS Marching band was coming in before spectromagic!!! I would not miss it!!!! My cousin was twirling a flag. I am a music teacher (as I think I already said) and I give some private lessons. One of my private students was marching in the parade and a girl from our church was marching!!!!

We staked our parade spot out at about 7:00. My DH and DKids went back to the room. I stayed with my DMom, DDad, DAunt, and then we met up there with my other DAunt and DUncle who were chaperoneing the band. None of my pics turned out of the girls marching. My DAunt has one of those really cool canon cameras and she got some great pics. I don't have them uploaded to shutterfly so I can't show you...but it was awesome!

Our high shool has a long standing tradition of marching at Disney. My DAunt marched, I did, and ALL of my cousins from that side of the family marched including me and my DBrother. I remember how awesome it was for me. We stayed to watch wishes. It was an awesome night. We only had a little sprinkle of a shower all night. I was so happy we didn't get soaked in the rain!
Back to the hotel...I was still so excited I couldn't sleep. When I opened the door DH and DKids were all SOUND asleep!!!! I just got a shower and watched some TV until I finally was sleeping! More fun tomorrow!!!

What a way to start the day!!!! I said "I am not waking the kids up (I never do...they are up around 6:30 everyday.) I had a late night." HA no sleeping in for mama!!!! We were off!

Star Wars Weekend
Let me start by saying...I am not a star wars fan. I am not anti-starwars...I could just care less!!! My DH...was into it. Not getting dressed up into it...not waiting in line into it...but..hey babe...will you snap a pic of Chewy into it.

We saw playhouse disney...the kids LOVED IT!!! Do not miss if you have a toddler or preschooler!!!

The little Einsteins were not out during the star wars weekends. Rocket was going to have to do. When we go on our next trip I have lunch with Little Einsteins scheduled. That will be a big hit.

We did the backlot tour. My DD and DH were picked to be part of the show!!! They were really good actors!

After the backlot tour. DH and I went on tower of terror and Rockin' roller coaster using the fastpasses we grabbed earlier. DMom and DDad didn't fast pass anything so we used theirs. While we were on those rides DMom and DDad went with the kids to see Mater and Lightening!!!

We all met up to see Beauty and the Beast. What a great show!
We stayed at the park until about 12:30 it was CRAZY BUSY!!! We were going to get lunch at the park but the lines were very long! We went back to the hotel!
Someone passed out on the bus ride back!

Mom did laundry...no rest for mommy!!! DH and the Kids went for a rest in the room.

We had ADR's fir Capt 'n' Jacks. We had a WONDERFUL meal!!! I know they have not been getting the best reviews...but YUMMY!!! We had a table right on the water. It was perfect!!!!

We went shopping for a while and DMom and DDad went to see cirque as part of DMom's BDay present. I did not want to pay that kind of money for the kids to go. We will save that for when they are older!!!! We bought the princess the My Disney Doll. (Great Souvie...she loves it!!!) I can't believe I did not take any pics in DTD....oh well!!!

Back to the room. We had a snack of Rice Krispie Mickey Heads.

Tomorrow is our last FULL day at Disney!

Our Magical trip continues!!!! No matching shirts today...We went back to the Animal Kingdom again. We love this park.

This was DH's first time in this park for the week!!! He missed our first morning because the Prince was in bed. He missed the next time the kids and Grandparents went because we went to Blizzard Beach.

We loved the Safari Ride. The King and Prince wait in line.

I got my DDad to ride on Everest. I love that ride. We also had FP for my DH and I to ride dinosaur.

After Everest we went back to see Rafiki's Planet watch. Riding the train.

The Prince was very excited because we found Jiminy!!!!

The prince loves the petting zoo area. He wanted me to add...I was petting the animals then you need to wash your hands!!!!

My DD was sleeping for this part.
We went to Dinoland and rode dinosaur while the kids went on the other rides. The prince and princess loved the dino dig and the slide area...my kids on slides again!!!! After a lovely morning we decided to go back to the room for an hour or 2 before the evening.
WE WAITED ALMOST AN HOUR TO GET ON THE BUS!!! IT WAS HORRIBLE!!! IT WAS HOT>>>IT WAS LONG>>>AND EVERYONE AROUND US WAS WHINING LIKE A 4 YEAR OLD!!!!!!!

We finally got back to our room...and then we had about 45 min. before we had to leave for the MK we had ADR's at Liberty Tree Tavern.
We got the the MK and went right to dinner.
The Prince was in a foul mood.

His mood improved considerably when the characters started to arrive!!!

After dinner we rode some rides...we rode Small World about a million times. My kids love that ride!!!

After our ride on Pooh it was about 9:00 and the Grandparents and DS were tired and wanted to go back. So, they went back. DH wanted to see wishes because he missed that this week...so...DH, DD, and I all stayed for wishes. We took a nighttime ride on the TTA...that was nice.

We got back late and DD was asleep. We stopped and got DS and slung him into bed. Tomorrow we pack up to go home....

We decided to Finish our Magical Week at Magic Kingdom.

We had to finish packing all of our luggage before we could have a bit more fun. DH and DDAd checked it at the luggage area in the main building. Then we were off to the park.

I can't even tell you how many times we rode It's a Small World. That is my DD's FAVORITE ride. She just claps and loves it. My DS loves it too, he sings the song all of the time.

We went into the Laugh Floor, that was pretty good. I was having a laugh. They used one of my Dad's Jokes.

We went on a few more rides in Fantasyland then we did a few in Tomorrowland

Our last ride for the week was BUZZ LIGHTYEAR using our last fast pass of the week....

Then we went back to the hotel for lunch at the food court. DS loved the cinderella castle play area they had set-up in the gift shop. He asked me to take a pic of it for him to take home!!

It was time to board the Magical Express and head back to Pennsylvania. We got to the airport with a little extra time. Not much!!! We went into the Disney Store in the airport and made a few last pin trades. FUN WEEK!!!!

Flights were delayed all over the place due to thunderstorms. Our flight was not delayed...until...we were on the plane!!! We were about 1.5 hours late taking off!!! We arrived late in Philly...then we had a 2 hour drive home. We did not get home until after 1 AM. My poor DH had to get up at 6:00 AM and go to work the next morning!!! What a way to end a vacation!!!!!

We can't wait to do it all again!!!!!
