Such a wonderful song -- I hadn't heard it before last night.

Boy is the above true...just had to pop in here and say I feel your pain. I taught HS English before I became a SAHM, and I still stay in touch with some of my "favorites"...and others I have lost along the way, but I still think of them all the time.

THIS is the secret perk to teaching. Low pay, pretend summers "off", politics, constant criticism, feeling like you're running in a hamster wheel...it is all completely worth it when you see those lightbulbs go off in some of those kids. And the tears when we have to say goodbye...YEP. Oh man.

Just had to say this rang true with me.

So true about the lightbulbs! And when they still talk about the things they learned in our classrooms.

Wow! When I booked with Dreams Unlimited, I was told that you could get 100% back up till 75 days before the trip-otherwise, I wouldn't have booked it (and paid more than my deposit) already. So we figured that if we didn't have the $$ by next March, we'd cancel and just do WDW. I made sure of this before booking-2-3x. I plan on paying it off before March though. Maybe there are different rules for different rooms/days or months of departure, who knows! We have a cat 9, I think-it is a large port hole room. Prolly one step above inside state room,not sure. I just know we need a window. Some good friends are going next Feb, and staying in the same type room. If they feel like they needed to bump up, I think we will for ours.

Just wanted to say "hi!" I am so glad you found your ice cream sandwiches, and so excited for you for your new acquistions from disneyshopping!!

Speaking of thinking of DIS friends throughout the day, yesterday I too was thinking of you!! I found these neat travel organizers at the Vera Bradley sale, and I knew you would love them!! They are a trip organizer's dream come true!!! SO CUTE!! I showed them to my sister, and said "I have a friend on the DIS (you) that would LOVE these!" She then wanted to know all about you--so I had to tell her about how we have SO much in common!! She thought it was so cool, and when I told her that we might bump into you at WDW, she said that she hoped it happened while she was there so she could meet you too!! Hope you have a good Thursday! Oh, I just can't imagine one of mine getting ready to start high school! I am having a hard enough time dealing with Chelsea going to middle school!
