The Pursuit of Disney Magic (June 7-14, 2008) ~ UPDATED 9/30 pg. 191

I am becoming that way, too. Mickey, Minnie, and Tink!

The pin board is definitely going to happen this summer!

Where do you order pins from?

We get out May 23rd! I can't wait!

After the kids get out I have two days pf post-planning on the following Tuesday and Wednesday but those days are a breeze!

May 23rd!!!! You lucky thing!! Man, we would so be on the road that night!!!

Pincastle.com is Chuck's website of choice for ordering pins. We've ordered from them before and got great stuff. Chuck got a Jessica Rabbit that he refuses to trade.

Looking forward to the pin board!!

I was actually thinking about you today and how close your trip is. I'm so excited for you! :goodvibes

Thank you! I am excited too -- to the point where all I seem able to do today is moon about thinking of Disney, adding things to the trip binder, rereading guidebooks, and DISing. I think my family will be staging a revolt soon if I don't get my act together in time for dinner.

I always think about it, but then, I think, if we wait a week or so, I will be more organized.

I am so going to look at what they have! Thanks!:thumbsup2

I find myself the same way, but I have not the justification. My trip is still four months away! I find myself relfecting on what resort we're staying in at all odd hours. Working at the bank, when I'm on the treadmill at they gym, cooking dinner...it's a sickness, people. :lmao:

Oh, I have been doing that since we returned last June -- some days are worse than others -- today is a particularly bad flare-up!

The teacher in you is showing.........:)

:lmao: Either that or my rampant OCD tendencies! ;)

The Tinkerbell witch pin is ADORABLE!!! I love it!

Your pin collection is growing...

I always wonder if it's hard to trade pins. I mean, obviously you chose the ones you have because you like them, so how do you give them up?!?

I am the same way -- I buy pins because I like them so I would never want to trade them.

I was never good at sharing as a child either -- I wonder if that plays into it??

Love your pin collection. I like Halloween Tink and the Coronado Springs. They're different/

When are you planning on visiting next year? I would avoid December at all costs.

Thanks! Tanya is so talented!

Oh, I don't do cold at all -- not even for ice skating at Rockefeller. I am hoping spring break of 2009 or summer of 2009 if we decide to forego Disney and do the cruise in November. I don't think we can avoid Disney for that long though, so I am really leaning towards spring break (which I think falls the first week of April) for our NYC adventure.

Spring Break would be a great time to visit. In NYC, our spring break falls during Easter/Passover week. I'm not sure if that's the same time as yours. I need to check a calendar.

Have you thought about hotels?

I put together a list of great restaurants for you. Some of them are family friendly and not necessarily chic, but the food is good and the atmospher is fun. I love Jekyl and Hyde on 6th Avenue. It's fun.

I need to check a calendar, too, but I am too lazy to get up.

The only hotels I remember/have stayed at are the Hotel Edison on 47th and Broadway and the Marriott Marquise -- well, besides the big ones that I know we won't be staying at like the Waldorf-Astoria :lmao: . I think we want to be in the Theatre District (within walking distance of shows at night). What are your suggestions?

I would love the list of restaurants!!! I looked up Jekyll and Hyde -- it is soooo us!!!! :rotfl: I can just see Connor there now!!! I think I will start my "trip binder"/file folder for NYC tonight since I am obviously not getting anything else done!

I love the Marriott Marquis. There's also the Crowne Plaza across the street. The W is really nice. And of course the Four Seasons :lmao:

Pop Burger is great. If you like sushi, then you have to go to Wasabi Lobby. Mama Mexico, Cafe Con Leche, Flor de Mayo, Pio Pio, Fetch, Cabana, Asia Grill are all good.

If you're into a total splurge meal, go to Peter Luger. The BEST steaks. Or for pricey Chinese, Shun Lee Palace by Lincoln Center is great.

Love the pin collection... I need to get all of ours together. I especially love the Tink one!

Alright, it's official: I have created the first page of the NYC trip binder with all of your restaurant and hotel suggestions. Now, we'll have to come!

Off to see if any of them have websites...:goodvibes

Thank you!

Yes, I should add the pin lanyards to our packing list so they don't get left at home.

I've been reading over the first few pages, and didn't even REALIZE all that we have in common--now I DO!!! Disneyaholic--check Scrapbookaholic--check Movie junkie--check---the list DOES go on and on!!! Anyway--just wanted to say "hey!!" I have so much reading to do--but hey, that's what us English teachers love to do! ;o) Jen
