DD: Kate (aka Wishspirit)
We woke up early (7am) to go the DHS however, it wasnt early entry day and it was very crowded despite getting there before opening. We went straight to Toy Story Mania where Kate got in the queue for the fast pass unfortunately she got stuck behind someone who didnt know how the system worked and took ages to figure it out before asking a CM to help! Consequently, it took 40 minutes in the queue to ride (I beat her again!) but at least we saw the lamp which came out to entertain us whilst we waited in line!
TSM was followed by Tower or Terror (we love this ride!) and RNRC which we did single rider which made it so much faster.
We went back to TSM where I got my highest score of 179,700 to Kates 140,000! (but still way off the leader board!). We the saw the Beauty and the Beast show for the first time, which was great except I am bodily very short and I curse anyone who has a big head who sits in front of me which, of course they cant help, but I still spent most of the show leaning from one side to the other to see anything no doubt totally infuriating anyone behind me!
After another TOT trip we had another shared pulled pork sandwich lunch followed by a kripsie treat (rice krispie with marshmallow treat which I LOVE!) before retiring for our, by now, traditional mid day siesta at BLT!
After a rest, we headed back to MK where we wandered round the shops before doing one of Kates favourites Carousel of Progress. We then rode the TTA as we got on, a couple who had already ridden it once stayed on for another ride we a couple of cars behind us. They recognised our DIS t shirts and as we got off, we had a quick chat with them Chrissy (I cant remember her board name sorry!) and her husband.
We then did the Indy Speedway we havent done this for years in fact Kate remembers she wasnt tall enough to drive the car last time so I made sure she was in the driving seat this time round!
We then rode HM before taking a loo stop. This was the most disappointing toilet experience in our whole trip. I take pride in telling everyone I meet that the loos in Disney are usually fantastically clean yet these were not good. In 7 trips to WDW, this was the worst I have ever seen the loos. Pretty disgusting actually but maybe what would be normal if you visited any UK attraction! I do appreciate that the loos in WDW get a complete hammering apparently 47 million people visit WDW each year so they do an amazing job usually keeping them spotless. I think that they were a CM short in these loos that night (there was someone there who appeared to be working hard hey who would want THAT job?????) and I did feel sorry for her.
We then went to the Enchanted Tiki Rooms which we had never seen before. Kate and I were determined to visit most attractions in MK on our trip. However, in our opinion, this deserves to be put underneath the Wishes fireworks and blown to oblivion. What a dreadful attraction!! Maybe we just couldnt appreciate something special about it and I am willing to be swayed in my opinion by a loyal DISer, but until then, I cant imagine well be back in a hurry!
Finally we headed back to Tomorrowland and the Wishes Dessert party. I had posted on the DIS that I couldnt get a reservation and a DISer called Paul contacted me to offer 2 tickets they couldnt use. We met Paul and his lovely wife Allison, in the queue, along with Pauls cousin and his family and spent a lovely couple of hours chatting with them and eating our fill of desserts!
It was great to have a fantastic view of Wishes without having to queue for ages in Main Street and it was a great evening and one I would love to repeat!
