The Prisoner of Azkaban RP Signups

Hi Everyone!

If the title isn't obvious enough, this is a Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban RP! Just a few simple rules:

1. Be good people.
2. Characters from the movie/novel are first come, first serve, though you still have to make sign-ups for them. Please don't whine/complain if someone gets to the character you want first. Work it out or move on. This also goes for prefects, head boy/girl, and Quidditch positions.
3. Follow the format. Color is optional but not required. I'd write out an example, but if you need to see how it's done just take a gander at the other RPs around. Use OOC if it's not something your character is saying/doing.

Appearance: She has black curly hair and hazel-like amber eyes. With both a charming smile and smirk and a nice figure, most regard her as one of the best looking people in the year, just like both her parents had been.
Personality: She's brave but mischievous, meaning she doesn't always think things through. She's a fun loving girl. She's very smart and reads when she likes to but is also likely to blow off or put off her work. She is smart and has potential, but she just doesn't put in the effort. She likes learning about magic, but doesn't apply herself much because she is natural at being good most of the time and feels she doesn't need to. She's selfless, courageous, creative, quick thinking, friendly, kind, sarcastic and funny. She's willing to use knowledge, muscle, magic or tooth and claw to protect her friends. She has two trios of best friends: Harry, Ron and Hermione, with whom she makes up the Golden Quartet, and Lee Jordan and Fred and George, with whom she makes up the 2nd generation of the Marauders.
Magical Optional*: She is a (illegal) fox animagus. Her patronus is also a fox. Pureblood. Cedar and Unicorn hair, 13 ½ inches, flexible.
Optional History: Adriana was born under strange circumstances, and her life has continued to be strange. Marlene Mckinnon acted a surrogate for Adriana's parents since they couldn't have children. Adriana was born with a different name on July 31st. A few months later, her parents died and the hospital gave her to Marlene. Marlene blood adopted her and renamed her Adriana Polaris Mckinnon, made her boyfriend Sirius Black (OFF TOPIC: it's widely speculated that at some point those two were together, I'm just using that theory) her blood adoptive father and named Remus Lupin as her godfather. Adriana lived for a short time with Marlene and Sirius, occasionally visiting the Potters until they went into hiding. Sirius proposed in secret to Marlene but a couple weeks later, Sirius and Adriana were visiting the Potters when Marlene Mckinnon and her whole family was killed. From then on Sirius took full custody of Adriana. When Sirius was sent to Azkaban, Adriana was placed in a London orphanage where she has lived ever since. Remus tried to get custody but anti-werewolf laws prevented him, however he visited her when he could. In her first year she befriended Hermione Granger, then later Harry and Ron after the troll incident. After proving herself worthy and a good prankster, she also befriended the twins and Lee Jordan and began aiding in their exploits. Over her winter break she stumbled across Sirius and James'; notes on how to become an animagus and Sirius' journal, in which among other things he mentioned making Peter the secret keeper. Ever since, she's known he's innocent, but hides her relation to him from the world.

Personality: She's half Russian, half Canadian, and all spunk and spirit. She's smart, like brilliant-close-to-genius smart. Between that and a natural talent for magic she doesn't even have to try to get a good grade and she knows it. She uses her intellect to her advantage, to a point of being borderline Slytherin at times. Muggleborn she may be, but she out-wits anyone who tries to insult her, rather than getting angry and fighting them or retaliating in an obvious way. She also gets a little sarcastic.
Magical Optional*: She is muggleborn. She plays Chaser for Ravenclaw. Walnut and Dragon wand
Optional History: Her father Venedikt Arakelov was studying in Canada when he met her mother, Anna Martin, a fellow student. They fell in love and married and got a place in Canada. Mikhailya was their first born. Four years later, Mikhailya got twin younger siblings: Lilia and Damien. Her family was shocked when she got her letter, as nether parent was magical. Her last name started with an A and so she was the first person in her year to be sorted. She is excited for her second year.

Rose's the whatever kind of girl, the one who doesn't care much what people think but still has a straight head and thinks through what she says. Lo and behold, she's got a sweeter side to her that not many see. She often introduces herself with her mother's last name, Parkinson, merely because it helps with the stereotype of being the minister's apparent daughter. Because of this reason, she isn't extremely popular, and sometimes, when her few friends are with others, she's a loner. This is among the reasons why she keeps a level head in almost every situation, dangerous or not, loner or not. She often gets the load if there is something going on with the ministry students/students parents don't like, which makes life even harder. In truth, she has good morals and helps when she can. She also knows more about events and such in the ministry than the general public, but not by much.

It was about this time that Voldemort attacked their muggle village and Brian was gravely injured. He spent weeks at St. Mungo's.
About four years later Cornelius happened to come across his brother's family as Rose was demonstrating accidental magic. Cornelius became furious and took the girl's custody to court, in which it was deemed that due to her father's injuries and parents' muggle/squib status, they were not fit to care for her, so she was left in Cornelius's care. (YOHOO, Perry, OVER HERE ) He put it on the street that Brian had died at Mungo's from his injuries.
Cornelius cared for Rose as his own from then on; Rose grew up believing that he was her biological father and her mother was his previous wife who had left them, which explained how much prettier and different she was from Fudge and his wife. Rose is also technically muggle-born, although the wizard genes showed up immediately rather than generations later.

Her first two years are written, I'm part of the way through three, and I was going to stop after three, mostly because I don't want to have to write her reaction's to Sirius' death and it's too hard to pick a pairing.

History:
Pierson and Esmire Scamander were born to pure-blood parents Honora and Angus Scamander. They are the grandchildren of Newt Scamander (author of the Hogwarts textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) and the cousins of Rolf Scamander. They are fraternal twins although their personalities intertwine. Both Pierson and Esmire grew up carefree and playful, as well as with the wits to experiment and try to find new ways to do things. They traveled some with their grandfather, as well, and saw many sights and things, which pleased them and only encouraged their experimentations more. They are the only children in their household and have always been completely aware of the 1965 ban on experimental breeding; although they would probably be buried alive (the ban is said to be Scamander’s ‘proudest moment’), they would still love to try it themselves sometime...


Name: Cornelius Fudge
Age: not sure, at least middle-aged
House: No idea, google doesn’t say
Appearance: gray hair, average-sized for a male, short
Personality: Weak. Favors and is impressed by those who are pure-blood and give big donations, although he favors his job over everything, even his wife and niece. On the surface, he is kind and good-natured; when faced with bad news, he is very unwise. He pays special attention to those who are pure-blood; even though Rose is muggle-born, he loves her, but not nearly as much as he should.

Three years later Cornelius stumbled upon the family on accident and realized that Rose had magical ability, so he took his brother and sister-in-law to court where it was decided that because Brian had injuries from the attack and Rose had non-magical parents, Cornelius would receive custody. After that Fudge spread the word that his brother had died from his injuries and soon the wizard world forgot that Rose wasn’t Fudge’s child, as he raised her to believe, putting in her head that her biological mother had left the family and his wife was her step-mother. When Millicent Bagnold was due to retire it was thought that Bartemius Crouch Sr. would get the job, but he lost his shot after his son was sent to Azkaban. Because Dumbledore refused the post, he received it and sent Dumbledore owls frequently for advice. In Rose’s second year of school, he sent Hagrid to Azkaban despite his innocence because of the attacks on muggle-borns, during which he feared slightly for Rose’s safety.

Pierson and Esmire Scamander were born to pure-blood parents Honora and Angus Scamander. They are the grandchildren of Newt Scamander (author of the Hogwarts textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) and the cousins of Rolf Scamander. They are fraternal twins although their personalities intertwine. Both Pierson and Esmire grew up carefree and playful, as well as with the wits to experiment and try to find new ways to do things. They traveled some with their grandfather, as well, and saw many sights and things, which pleased them and only encouraged their experimentations more. They are the only children in their household and have always been completely aware of the 1965 ban on experimental breeding; although they would probably be buried alive (the ban is said to be Scamander’s ‘proudest moment’), they would still love to try it themselves sometime...

Personality: Weak. Favors and is impressed by those who are pure-blood and give big donations, although he favors his job over everything, even his wife and niece. On the surface, he is kind and good-natured; when faced with bad news, he is very unwise. He pays special attention to those who are pure-blood; even though Rose is muggle-born, he loves her, but not nearly as much as he should.
