The Power of Matching T-shirts: TR is over!~ 9/20

Plus, there are no Dole Whips in DHS.
Lack of vision park creators. 'Nuff said. :sad2:
Ahh. If only Disney had a sign reading Go that dispensed $200.
Instead, WDW has a "Welcome!" sign that sucks your bank account dry.

And that was the saddest part of the last day. Not leaving the World, but leaving my friends.
Boy oh boy do I know about that. :sad1:

Kinda like Tolkien's elves departing to the West.
Were the mountains covered in magical hiding cloaks?!

This is the way my TR almost ended
This is the way my TR almost ended
This is the way my TR almost ended
Not with a bang, but a fizzle.
Well done!!! :cheer2:

And for me, personally, even though none of us is in a relationship right now, I keep thinking at some point someone's going to get married and have kids, and of course then it'll be much more difficult to arrange trips together.
Can I share a little something with you? I've crossed that point in life and I promise... nothing will stand in the way of good friends who love and care for one another. You'll find a way. :goodvibes

Thank you for bringing us along on this journey!

Well said. Like always.

Jiri, your TR has been a pleasure to read. Thanks for sharing your stories with us.

I am definitely going to look into NaNoWriMo more but probably not for this November.

Thanks! Melneth also wrote this:

Don't worry about seeing each other when we have kids. I'll be a rich doctor, Nevi will be a rich vet and you'll be a famous writer and we'll have a couple of vacation homes that we can meet at and let our kids play while we gossip and watch MST3K.

I'm going to pretend that Melneth is a bona fide soothsayer. :thumbsup2

All right, but try out fifteen minutes per day! :goodvibes

Jiri, that ending was amazing.

I can't wait to read your own stories.:goodvibes

Walt Disney was a storyteller.

I've decided that that's why I prefer Disney to all the other amusement parks out there--because, no matter how corporate Disney has become or how expenses have risen, Walt was a storyteller, and that influence has remained in and molded the attractions.

Jiri - I was going to quote these final musings up a storm but really, I just kept coming back to the statements above which are so beautifully and concisely written. I think that you've hit the nail on the head, to further overuse and overused cliche.

Walt WAS a storyteller.
Disney IS a magic place.
And that magic comes from the success of Walt being able to weave his stories right into our own stories.

Thank YOU so much for sharing with us. I'm so very glad to have "met" you and wish you nothing but the best for your future.

:flower3:

I'm not sure how I missed the end of your TR, but now I've found it!

What a wonderful ending to an amazing TR!

Now that it's over, I will admit that I am always a little nervous to post on your thread because I am afraid that I will use poor grammar or spell something wrong! :rotfl:

I will also be looking out for your first book.

Now I have to go call my girlfriends and tell them how much I love them!

Wow, sort of surprised to pop in and see my TR hasn't been archived yet...

Thanks so much, Tink! Your kind words made me feel all warm and gooshy inside. I hope you and Missy had a fantabulous trip and that your new home is even better than anticipated! (And that BF didn't get sore from moving everything!)

Yes, do call your friends! I know my life is better and richer for having Nevi and Melneth. :goodvibes

No worries about grammar/misspelling. During my meeting with the agent, of course my day job came up and she said, "Oh, so I can expect your copy to be really clean then!" I replied with "Well, it's probably cleaner than most, but I'm still human..." Trying to cover myself! :rotfl:

I'm glad you enjoyed the TR! :flower3:

I hope it's not too late to tell you how much I enjoyed reading your trip report. I'm sorry I went AWOL at the end, but school started and life went from moseying to mach speed. Anyhow, good luck with your writing! I would love to read anything you write.

I am ridiculously late to this party, but I wanted to say thanks for an exceptionally terrific read and to cheer for you as you write your own stories!!!

Perhaps when your novel is published, you could select Disney World as your celebration location?

Hi, Jiri! How's life going for you these days? :goodvibes

I got in 3k words today and almost that much yesterday. I think I'm about two weeks away from finishing the rewrite on my novel, so pretty good, thanks! :goodvibes

Don't worry about going AWOL--I'm essentially doing that from the entire DIS site! Thank you for reading the TR and for the well-wishes with my writing. I love that all the DISers here are so supportive!

Hey, welcome (is it too late to say that when the TR is done?), and thanks for reading! I think picking WDW as my celebration location upon publication is an excellent idea. :thumbsup2
