The Power of Matching T-shirts: TR is over!~ 9/20

I'm so glad you got to see Fantasmic! It's truly an awesome shoe, and it's been years since I've seen it (too loud/scary for the little nugget) so it's nice to relive it through you.

Even with the huge digression on the colors of the wind.

Sometimes I'm amazed by the places your mind goes. ;)

After reading this installment, I can't wait to see Fantasmic again!

I'm so happy for you girls that you got to see it!

"shooty shooty flashy pretty"

Now I can just see myself saying that in January, and my DH thinking I've gone even more crazy! DDs will think its funny, DH not so much...:sad2:

I just adore Fantasmic so I very happy that you got to see it on your last night, and with excellent seats to boot!

Yup, we were thrilled! :goodvibes

TK, you're not bringing your shoe drama into my TR, are you? :rotfl:

That is one advantage of going with my friends--they have their quirky moments too, so don't think I'm crazy when I exhibit mine. :thumbsup2

Okay, I'm sort of afraid to admit this but...

I don't really like Fantasmic!.

That said, I'm glad you DID enjoy it after all that waiting and planning! :cool1:

When I get to the painting section of my Studio Arts class, my wind shall be red-orange. Just for fun.

Caught back up again.

I love Fantasmic. It is probably my favourite show at Disney (although Illuminations is a close second). I'm so glad that you were able to see the show. What a great way to spend the last night of your vacation.

Okay, that's so funny, I'm not even going back to edit it!

Talk about a Freudian slip!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I found it highly amusing. :rotfl:

You like LMA, I like Fantasmic! To each her own! :thumbsup2

:lmao: I think I'd like to make my wind into a non-color that cannot be viewed by the human eye. How will I do that, you ask? I will have a blank canvas. I will paint on it. And since my non-color will be invisible to the human eye, I will simply title the canvas "Wind" and then look down my nose at anyone who says it's "just a blank canvas." Can I help it if they're unable to view my masterpiece? :snooty:

The last night is not a happy night, but I think we picked a good activity for it nonetheless. I mean, if we'd gone through all that wait for Pocahontas and Her Forest Friends or LMA (sorry, V!) I would've been PO'd.

Okay, so last night I attended a panel discussion hosted by the writing organization I'm a member of. There were door prizes. I knew about the door prizes, and I'm the praying sort. So, because I believe that God does care about what we want, I prayed mostly for the free attendance to the conference that's in a week, with a couple of prayers of "Or it might be nice to get one of the lunches with an editor or agent."

I didn't get the free conference, but I did get a breakfast meeting with an agent. Now, keep in mind I didn't get to pick the agent. But she's mostly interested in urban fantasy. And the novel I'm working on is urban fantasy. So, despite my initial decision that I wouldn't go to the conference due to financial considerations, I'm going now. After all, the conference chair offered the panel attendees the original discounted price. And I'm paid every two weeks, and my "extra" paycheck is coming up next month. So the conference cost can float on my credit card for a month.

Now. I tell this to you because, though there's no guarantees that anything would come from this breakfast meeting other than a cool experience, there's always the chance the agent would request to see my novel. Of which I've completed the rough draft, but not the full-blown editing. And honestly it's unlikely I could finish the editing in the course of a week, but I'll give it my best shot.

So what I'm getting at is: My TR will be on hold for at least a week. Unless I get horribly stuck with my editing and decide I'd prefer to spend a couple of hours drafting an update. But chances are you shouldn't expect an update until Tues the 16 (the conference is Sept 12-14), and maybe longer than that depending upon how the meeting goes.

Thanks for sticking with me, everyone. I appreciate the time you've taken to read and comment on my TR. Rest assured that I do plan to finish (only two posts remaining!) but I'm just not sure when that will be.

Wow what an opportunity for you! That is so great.

I'd like to say I'll be here waiting when you update on the 16th but I won't... because I will be in Disney at that time:woohoo: I will however, be looking foward to catching up when I get back.

Good luck!!!

That is so very exciting!!!

Don't worry about the TR...we'll be here when you get back to it.

I truly hope something comes of this meeting for you!

Good luck! It sounds like a great opportunity, even if you just get to talk with her and pick her brain. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that it goes even better than that. :goodvibes

*Sniff* Aww, this is why I love the Disers. You're all so supportive! :goodvibes

Thank you! I hope you enjoy your vacation, and that Ike causes no problems for your drive!

Good luck and don't worry about the TR - you know none of us are going anywhere! :rotfl:

Thanks! Yes, the lure of planning and obsessing over others' trips is strong! :rotfl:

Thank you! I'm already trying to figure out how I can explain my novel somewhat intelligently--I have difficulties talking about my WIPs!

Thanks! That's what I'm thinking--even if nothing comes of it, it should be a good learning experience, as they say.

Not to mention that there are several class thingummies at the conference itself I'm interested in, but was having issues justifying the funds--well, this pushed me over the edge! :thumbsup2

We'll wait! ;) What a fantastic opportunity - good luck!

Thank you!

 Good Luck!!!!

Thanks!
