The Porn Star & the Prom

One of our high school students from the District for which I work, won a contest on the Howard Stern show for a date with a porn star. He decided to bring her to his sr. prom, which was this past weekend. Well, the hotel where the prom was being held got wind of it and called the school and notified them that if he brought her, NO ONE would be allowed in. Guess they didn't want the negative press.

I'm not sure what to think about that... I think the media attention it might receive would somehow detract from the magic of the evening for the other prom revelers, though I doubt that was the hotel's primary concern.

Oh well, guess the kid had to get another date.

I have to say you have me beat on that one, I was upset when my DS wanted to take a 24 yr old divorced mother to his prom as his date. He worked with her and she told him she was sad she never got to go to her prom because she was preg. at the time and would he take her to his prom.

I have to get more of the details, but thought I'd let you know that this town is VERY affluent and the school was not in favor of it either and probably would have not allowed it to happen anyway. Not sure of the parent situation, but heard he lived with the grandmother or something. I'll have to get more details tomorrow.

I think that absolutely stinks. (I'm reserving my bigger words, in order to not drag this one into the mud - I'll be expecting my gold star. ) As to his parents or grandparents or whoever, if they were smart, they'd LOVE for him to take a porn star to the prom. You have to think about the probabilities - lots of "regular" teens have sex on prom night, but what are the odds a porn star is going to want to have sex with your average teenage boy? Not so high, I'm guessing.

A kid at my school won the porn star prom date from Howard Stern a few years ago. I'm pretty sure I was a freshman at the time.

There was a whole big issue about it-they went and had a good time, although the media was a bit out of control. The kid actually wound up dating/living with the porn star. Not really sure how it worked out for them, though...It was a huge story here on lil ol' Staten Island. It was on the news, and channels like E!

You're not going to believe this one, but the girl I took to prom, my then girlfriend of 2 years) is now in porn....cheap low budget stuff. She was in a Girls Gone Wild Video the year after we split, and then went to Canada and did 2 low budget adult films....

Glad I got out of that relationship
