The podcast team missed the real reason for the Avatar delay.

The reason for the delay for Avataland can be summed up in two words, James Cameron. I mean the sequel has been delayed several times and is now being released sometime in 2017. It took him 12 years to make the first film. The guy is a notorious perfectionist.

Now this doesn't explain the other construction delays.
