The Plaza? Not a good "bargain" on DDP, but how is the food?

I know that the Plaza offers some of the lower priced items for a TS restaurant, but the menu looks like something DH would like. How is the food? I would hope that it would be FABULOUS at these prices...
Also, are ADRs recommended for dinner here?

I think the Plaza has good food. I like the cheesesteak. I don't know about a good bargain though. We eat what we want and don't worry as to whether we are getting a deal or not. You said they are lower priced yet you worry whether the food will be fabulous because of the prices. I think they are really priced low. Yes, ADRs are highly recommended. It is nearly impossible to walk up and get something here.

The Plaza is one of our favorite lunch spots in WDW! We love the food and of course the ice cream!

We really enjoyed it here. Good fresh sandwiches, yummy ice cream. We are going here for lunch on our next trip. I think it is a nice break in the middle of the day at MK. I agree it is not as "good a deal" on the dining plan. In our case we will be almost out of DP credits by then so we are using one credit and the rest OOP. I think one appy and one sundae should be plenty to share and then we'll just buy a couple extra sandwiches. If you can fit it in, I think it is a great place.

Thanks DaisyD! I guess that did sound a little crazy! I guess what I meant was that I would expect a $10 turkey sandwich to be pretty good, and I was trying to decide if it would be worth using a TS credit. It sounds like it would!!

I eat alot of burgers at WDW, and IMHO, the very best burger of all is at The Plaza. You get your money's worth.

Okay, well then I'd have to say that it is really worth it. We enjoy the nice break at the MK. The German potato salad is very good and so is the turkey club and cheesesteak. We've eaten there maybe 10 times and have always enjoyed it.

Very often if I am at MK by myself I will go to the Plaza. I would say that it is not really woth using a TS credit. I have a DDE card so the 20% disocunt does help.

Tru Blu, I knew exactly what you were talking about because we thought the same thing. We really like the sandwiches there but it's really not worth using a TS. We are eating at Narcoosee's, which takes 2 TS credits, so we will pay for the Plaza OOP.

We've eaten there a couple of times, always came out pleased, but it's been a few years, so I don't remember what we ate.

Their potato salad is amazing! I usually get the club sandwich, which is also very good. I wouldn't use a DP credit there because I'm always too full for desert.

I ate there this past year and thought the food was mediocre and would rather have a hot dog at Casey's than eat there again.. JMO...also crammed in tables and everyone sitting on top of each other listening to each other's conversations. LOLOLOL

We have eaten at the Plaza several times and I think the food is pretty good. Certainly reasonably priced, so not an effiecient use of your TS credits. The veggie sandwich was YUMMY!!!
